"really appreciated the receptionists for answering all our queries patiently and meeting our requests. for example, a female receptionist was friendly and gave our group of 6 one bottle of water and one 罗汉果 each when we checked out. another male staff kindly helped us re-activate our room cards when we were unable to access our floors. one of my friends needed laundry service past midnight, and his clothes were delivered to the room by the time we woke up in the morning for no charge at all. really love the service and highly recommend!"

This stay was perfect! From the moment we stepped into the hotel, we were greeted warmly by the front desk, and the check-in was quick and considerate. The guest rooms are fully equipped with smart toilets, Xiaodu smart control of the whole house, and the laundry room is free for 24 hours. Disposable toilet mats, razors, care kits, sewing kits and other items are also provided. If there is anything, the service staff responds quickly and has a good attitude. It's very good. I will come again next time!

"The hotel is set at the most gorgeous location, views of the mountains, many restaurants nearby. The host (Siau Ming) was super hospitable - he helped us with our bags to the room, had fresh iced Osmanthus sour plum tea for us at arrival and when we were back, he even packed some crossaint/biscuits for us to go. Breakfast was either bread with passion fruit jam & butter or guilin noodles (so good), served with mango and coffee. He was very attentive to our needs. The rooms are as gorgeous as depicted in their pictures. 5 star quality with a homely Chinoiserie design. Laundry was free - we just had to put our laundry in the basket in the morning and it would be ready in the evening. Appreciated in the 38C weather. The stay at Secret Courtyard made Guilin an enjoyable and memorable experience."

"We have wonderful time in Guilin especially our stay at Wing hotel. Hotel is next to the walking street and just opposite the Li river. The two pagodas and elephant trunk are in walking distance (around 1 km). Room is very clean, we book a family room so there is special amenity for kids as well as the decoration. Staffs are very helpful and friendly, they recommend nice breakfast shop and also give us some water and magnets as souvenir. Highly recommend!"

MMegan MaiWe stayed here for four nights, so we feel we got a pretty good idea of the area and the hotel. The check-in process was easy and very fast, you just need to show them your passport/travel cards. Once we got our our room (there is an elevator), the rooms automatically have curtains that open and music that plays. It’s quite loud at first, but you can go next to the bed to turn off the music or else it’ll do it every time you enter your room and put in the room card haha. The room is clean and the beds are fairly comfortable. While traveling in China, I’m usually curious as to how hard/soft the bed is, but it was a lot better than I expected. The place is new, so the rooms are still in good condition. We really enjoyed our room, the view was nice, and it was quiet. Although, because the rooms have the music that turn on each time you put in your room card, you will be able to hear the rooms next to you music play if they don’t turn it off haha. What we really enjoyed was how we had free coffee and fruit everyday! I didn’t realize it was everyday of your stay, I just thought it was one time. You can choose between americano or latte. They also have free ice cream! So many perks of staying here. We rented scooters from them and it was a little bit more than the surrounding places, but we felt it was worth it because of less hassle. We also enjoyed the breakfast here. It is a bowl of Guilin noodles with vegetables and pork, and they have self-service soy milk, buns, sweet potato, and corn. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and will be coming back. Also!!! Check out the bbq place across the road from here, it’s really good and service is amazing.

PPrairieTruthfully, I am having time finding words, and that's unusual for me. I must admit I was disappointed when Yangshuo Mountain Retreat cancelled my booking because of a wedding that had booked the place, but the photos of the garden sold me. I've been to Yangshuo perhaps five times over the last 10 years, and have stayed in every kind of place there-from a cheap hostel to the boutique rooms but my dream was to stay at YMR, where I always stop and have a whiskey by the river. When we pulled into Liqui Town, I realized I had not explored this part of the valley and was disoriented. But then the staff greeted us, carried in our bags, gave us tea, peanuts, and oranges, and set to taking care of our every need. They were this way with us from start to finish-sending us off with a bag of fresh mandarin oranges and hugs-and a promise to send an invoice for our remaining expenses-which we still have not gotten! Apart from the wonder of just those details, the food was exquisite, our farmhouse room was stylish and simple yet so thoroughly Chinese-in the most real and unassuming way. It was an honor and a pleasure to sip tea in the farmhouse and look at the many woodcut posters and Chinese propaganda songs on the walls while staring up from the tea table to the simply elegant clay tile roof resting on the original beams, feeling the mud bricks breathe out their history silently under a soft rain and the early crows of the neighborhood roosters. I If one is quiet and still, I believe this little gem will give up her secrets, her history, and the story and true feeling of old-time village life amongst the stunning splatters of karst and water. We enjoyed watching the staff use the traditional well to clean up around the property, and the garden did not disappoint. Truly magical and filled with bonsai that some local master has been enjoying for many years. The food was excellent. We spoke with some Chinese tourists on the way out who were very disappointed with the local version of beer fish, ah but ours was exquisite, along with the drinks and italian food. It's very rare to find this mix of culture, authenticity, generosity, and good service all wrapped into a package that does nearly guarantee the fulfillment of the motto the girls wear on their shirts, ”be inspired....” I would recommend this to anyone. 谢谢你们！

The location is super good, in the countryside but close to a few restaurants, shops, electrical bike rent, and some scenic spots but also at 10/15 min driving from yangshuo city. The room was huge, as was the bathroom as well, the bed was super comfortable and the bathtub with the view as the balcony was priceless. The staff is really nice and they speak English so the communication was easy. Breakfast with traditional guilin noodles was also super good, highly recommended

AAnastasiia26.05Perfect stay! There are beautiful mountains around the hotel and you can enjoy the view at the balcony. Just minor cons are that there is no restaurant or shop close to the hotel. And Guilin’s downtown is around 20min ride. But near the hotel there is a must see park. The view is fantastic and there is a convenience store and restaurant. Hotel provides free transfer there and back. The receptionists at the hotel are very welcoming. Many thanks to the woman who speaks English! She helped me a lot with my taobao orders! I can definitely recommend this hotel!

MMatilda Pung PengWe had the most amazing holiday in stsying in this hotel. Every staff member made us feel valued. We had many issues with booking our DiDi transport and high-speed train tickets as we do not have any local mobile numbers. Everyone helped us throughout our 4 nights stay to make our Yangshou experience stellar. The view from my room was outstanding. The ebike rental availability made travelling within Yangshou seamless. If you turn left from the hotel via the road it is connected to Ten Mile Gallery and Romance Park. West Street is about 8 mintues ebike ride away. The room was cleaned. I am looking forward to revisiting and staying here again.

JJulieHad an incredible stay here! The views are stunning (probably one of the best out of all the other accommodations nearby), the room was clean and the service was friendly. It's a family owned business and everyone is lovely. If you're taking a bus, it won't drop you all the way to the hotel but if you give the hotel a call, someone can come pick you up from the bus stop. I had a bit of a miscommunication with my previous hotel who arranged a coach for us that dropped us off at a very far away drop off point and someone still came and picked us up from there with no complaints (and did not charge us for it)!! We were also dropped back off at the bus stop on the day we left. No one spoke much English which made it a little harder, but we got by with a translator app. There are quite a few stairs to go up to get to the hotel which isn't great if you have lots of heavy luggage so I'd recommend packing lightly if possible. Having said that, if you have average fitness, you should be fine getting up and down the stairs, the trek is not too long. The views are definitely worth it! Would stay again for sure.

Balcony opens out to expansive view of Yangshuo town, Xijie and karst topography. Lower floor has a clothes cabinet, tea set and kettle. The bathroom is also on lower section. Bathroom is equipped with a non slip floor in the shower cubicle that has a partial glass partition. A very secluded unit which sits above the fifth floor restaurant. Perhaps a little inconvenient that toilet/bathroom are separated from bedroom, but pretty good value considering the low tariff (only 120 RMB per night).

GGuest UserReally enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The location was good it was just 10-15 mins away from west street by taxi so it was quiet but easily accessible. The view of the river from the room was amazing and didn't have anything blocking the view.. I didn't expect it to actually look like the pictures on the website but it really was a beautiful room. There was a few letdowns, even though there was daily maid service, the room was pretty dusty when we arrived and there was quite a few bits of wear and tear like peeling plaster on the walls that lowered the standard of the place. The staff were really helpful and went out their way to to help us plan a day trip etc. Overall I'd go back to this place, Its quiet, cheap and has everything you need for a few days.
