Smile Hotel Shinsaibashi in Osaka truly exceeded my expectations, offering a five-star experience. The location is superb, right next to the bustling Shinsaibashi shopping district. Everything from shopping and dining to attractions is within easy reach, yet the hotel itself is a tranquil oasis, providing a peaceful escape from the city's hustle and bustle. The cleanliness was impeccable; every corner of the room was spotless, the bedding pristine, and the bathroom gleamed. The air was fresh and pleasant. While the facilities aren't luxurious, they are complete and practical. The comfortable mattress ensured a good night's sleep, and thoughtful amenities like air conditioning and an air purifier were much appreciated. The staff were a true highlight – everyone from the front desk to the housekeeping team was warm and friendly, always greeting guests with a smile, patiently answering questions, and even hand-drawing maps to help with directions, which made me feel incredibly welcome. In summary, with its convenient location, pristine environment, excellent facilities, and attentive service, this is an outstanding choice for anyone visiting Osaka. My only regret is that this was just a stopover for me, and I only stayed for one day before heading to Kyoto. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Osaka.

The hotel is right next to the subway station, which makes getting around super convenient. The facilities are really new, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Plus, the coffee shop downstairs offers great value for money. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time.

Getting around is super convenient, and Kitahama Station offers a direct line to Kyoto! However, the soundproofing in the rooms is genuinely terrible – I could clearly hear conversations from the room next door. That's a bit of a downside. Also, the sink is tiny, there were tiny hairs on the duvet, and a yellow stain under the pillow, so if you're particular, I'd recommend bringing your own pillowcase. On the plus side, they provide bathrobes, and the shower pressure is excellent! The price is reasonable too. Downstairs, the Yayoi-ken restaurant has delicious food and good service!
A typical Japanese hotel – quite small. Housekeeping is defaulted to every three days, but you can request more frequent cleaning. Toiletries are self-service. There's coffee available at the front desk in the morning.
Breakfast seems to be at the set meal restaurant downstairs; I didn't opt for it.
The location is great, right next to Shin-Osaka Station, with a set meal restaurant and a convenience store downstairs.
Closing the window effectively blocks out most noise.
Overall, I recommend it.

It was a perfect stay for me and my family. We stayed on the 27th executive floor with access to the lounge three times a day, although we barely made use of it but it was decent. The hotel staff are very helpful and welcoming. We had a very smooth late check in and an even straight forward check out. The room was spacious and spotless on daily bases. There were excellent amenities and coffee/tea corner. The room overlooked the station but was very quiet. We were excited every day to come back to the room and relax after long day of exploring. All in all, a pleasant stay which made our first trip to Osaka unforgettable.
Location consider near Shin-Osaka station, we booked hotel breakfast for 5 days, a bit boring on the breakfast selection but the taste not too bad. Hotel room seem very new but the bed and table a bit dusty even though everyday got make up room service, anyway overall is good. The most remarkable experience is there are many amenities like cotton buds, face soap, hair wax and some others even like candies are free flow to take by all hotel guests at the hotel concierge area.

The hotel was very nice and clean. However, I have to warn everyone, with tears in my eyes, to avoid the ramen shop across the street called 'Komugi Seido' (小麦生道). It was incredibly bad, like instant noodles soaked in dishwater, and super salty with tiny portions. Plus, the owner was openly discriminatory towards Chinese people.
Very nice hotel close to KIX and JR station, with walking distance (less than 10 minutes) to Rinku Premium Outlet where many brand name shops offer, together with good restaurants. Nice sea view with airplanes landing on KIX. Front staffs are polite, helpful and communicate in Eny. The price is also reasonable. Very convenient to catch your early morning flight, as the hotel offers free shuttle bus service (less than 15 minutes) to Terminal 1 KIX.

The location felt very comfortable, not a noisy, overwhelming tourist spot. If you want to avoid the overly bustling downtown areas of Osaka but still enjoy romantic nights and beautiful views, this place is really great. However, the front desk service was just so-so. The cleanliness, on the other hand, was good. Toiletries are self-service. The room is small but charming, and it's right by the river. On weekdays, it's not crowded, so you can relax and enjoy yourself.

The location is excellent, right next to Kintetsu Department Store and Tennoji subway station. It's a very bustling area, surrounded by shopping malls. The room was small, and the window couldn't be opened. Had I known this, I probably wouldn't have booked here. Aside from a rather unremarkable outdoor view, it was otherwise quite decent.
However, the hotel's listing on Ctrip didn't provide clear directions from the subway station, so I had to rely on piecing together information from other guest reviews to find my way. Tennoji station is massive, and it's easy to get lost or pick the wrong exit. I had trouble finding the Yilan Ramen shop at first. The hotel staff didn't speak Chinese, and their English was very limited, so we had to use translation apps to communicate.
Oh, and upon check-in, I was informed of an additional tax of about 10 Chinese Yuan (CNY) per night. My booking with Ctrip clearly stated that taxes were included, but I never ended up following up with them about it.

EE6734****The hotel is right by the subway, but we ended up taking a long detour following our navigation. The back entrance is really close to the park's main gate, which was super convenient and comfortable for walking back to the hotel when the park closed around 9 PM.
However, check-in at the hotel was quite slow, and they didn't provide any power adapters. Breakfast seating was limited, so we had to queue up and wait a long time to get in. Eating outside in the cold wasn't ideal, but at least we could hear the screams from the roller coasters (ಥ⌣ಥ).
There's a commercial street nearby that also sells Universal merchandise, which was great for picking up last-minute souvenirs before we left.
Overall, I'd definitely stay at this hotel again next time and have already recommended it to friends. The convenience for families with kids is the most important factor.
MMaTheBreIn general, the hotel is absolutely ok. The price is affordable and the interior is new and wealthy. The location is recommendable with close public transport, a supermarket, convenience stores, and a coin laundry. The hotel has a shared room on the second floor with free coffee, tea, and water. Every day they have free beer happy hour from 6 to 7 including a DJ performance.
I would not recommend it to families with children or to people who prefer a “standard” hotel. Usually, hotels in Japan are super child-friendly, but there are no products for children (toothbrushes, pyjamas, slippers, etc.). The breakfast is in our opinion not worth it. It is good in terms of taste, but they do not have a buffet. There are some different sandwiches you can choose 3 (this is limited and when I asked why the answer was: “If they do not limit I could eat 10”. They have no variation in the sandwiches so when you have breakfast there for a week you've eaten all at least once or twice. Here as well nothing for kids so I paid full price breakfast for my son and the only thing he got was some juice. For us, another no-go was the super loud music in the public area (there is the breakfast room). You can enjoy your morning coffee with electronic dance music. The hotel has no laundry, but they offer a service. You can bring your clothes no matter how many and get them back for 5000¥ cleaned and dry. The coin washer 2minutes away is 900¥ for 8kg in 1h.
For younger people or for 1-2 nights absolutely ok. Breakfast better go out to one of the 1000 coffees and enjoy a wider choice.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is super convenient! It's right next to the subway station, and just a few minutes' walk to popular shopping and dining areas like Kuromon Market, Shinsaibashi, and Dotonbori – you'll find everything you need for food, drinks, and entertainment. Plus, the hotel offers complimentary bread and drinks for breakfast. Overall, it's great value for money! 👍
GGuest UserConveniently located at Dotonburi and about 6-7 mins walk to metro. Location is near bars and at night you will see girls and some males standing around, they won’t disturb you but will hang around getting customers into their bars. We stayed highest at level 12 so can’t hear any noise from the street. Rooms are very small and we couldn’t open our luggage at all, if you don’t mind this and the bar streets, it’s conveniently located. Also we took Namba Nankai line directly to airport so that’s nicely situated!
__WeChat263706****Absolutely loved it! It's super close to Universal Studios, and the route there is very convenient. It's also near the subway station and right next to the aquarium pier ⛵️, couldn't be more convenient. The convenience stores on both sides are also great.
SSollee- Spa was good, breakfast was good.
- Location was good; we could go shopping or eating outside easily. The area across the station felt a bit unsafe, and there were some homeless people around.
- Very clean floors in the entire building since everyone had to take off shoes at the lobby.
- After check-out, the hotel allows guests to store their luggage if guests stay on the premises to enjoy the spa. However, if guests leave the hotel after checkout and then return later, the hotel does not offer luggage storage. In that case, you have to use the coin lockers in front of the hotel. It was a bit inconvenient because I had to exchange money again to use the locker. That was the only inconvenience.

AAnonymous User📍 **Location**: Not bad and quite convenient. There’s a **Life supermarket** nearby, plus a **FamilyMart** right behind the hotel. A **7-Eleven** is just opposite, but you’ll need to cross the traffic light to get there.
🚇 **Metro access**: Do note that the nearest metro exit may be closed after 9 PM, so it’s better to head back earlier if you want to use that exit.
☕ **Amenities**: The hotel provides coffee, and during my stay they upgraded the machine to include **hot chocolate** which was really nice!
Overall, a comfortable stay with good convenience stores and essentials nearby.

MMT LeeeThe location is excellent ,right in the heart of Shinsaibashi.
There is a FamilyMart directly across the street, which is very convenient.
The hotel is located just behind Fendi, with Lululemon right opposite.
If you go shopping and get tired, it’s very easy to return to the hotel to drop off your bags and head out again.
However, there are a few downsides.
The hotel is quite dark overall, and there is no daily cleaning service.
Towels are not replaced unless you specifically request it.
Overall, this hotel is perfect for shopping and convenience, but if you prefer brighter rooms or daily housekeeping, you may want to consider this before booking.
