Room was a little dark due to a small window. Love the big desk for working on paper work.
Complimentary coffee at the reception area was a nice touch.
Convenient to walk to Kenrokuen and nearby attractions. Train station was an easy walk of no more than 15 minutes.
Plenty of eateries around the hotel, no more than 5 minutes walk away.
Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Second stay in this hotel. So highly recommended!
This was a lovely hotel. The room was spacious to open 2 luggages and was clean. There was a tub in the toilet which was large.
The main selling point of this hotel was the amazing breakfast. The buffet spread was abundant and had many options, and the view of the snow out the window as we ate was definitely one of the highlights of our trip.
It is also located well near the bus stop that takes you to the main Kanazawa train station.
Best was the receptionist! A young and very professional gentleman that helped us with everything along our stay, he normally works in Kyoto but came for a week to the hotel in kanazawa. Hope to see you at the hotel insomnia KYOTO next time we pass through. Highly recommend this hotel!
Some weights at the gym would have been the cherry on top of the cake :)
Check in service is smooth, fast and staff is very polite and patient. He would take an awareness to remind u get the health/ body clean tool at self counter. Also, room is clean and bed is really big. Very quiet environment for living. Free tea and coffee provision at lobby with sofa.
Comfortable stay at a well located hotel in Kanazawa. The rooms were clean and functional, and the overall stay was smooth. The onsen was a nice touch and perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the city. There is also a laundry room available, which was very convenient during the trip. A good option if you are looking for a simple and comfortable base in Kanazawa.
A more traditional kind of hotel targeting a variety of travellers. Close to the Kanazawa Station, so it is a convenient location for getting to various spots. Late checkout available for IHG members
This is my second stay here. Back in '23, I only stayed one night but was very impressed, so this time I booked four! The breakfast is delicious, and the location is super convenient for me as I travel by Shinkansen to various places. Even on rainy days, there's plenty of good food and shopping right at the station. The room is spacious and offers great value for money. They even have Refa hair dryers and curling irons. The self-service amenities on the first floor are very handy. I've stayed at several Daiwa hotels in different cities and haven't had a bad experience yet; Kanazawa and Kagoshima Tenmonkan are my favorites.
I chose this hotel because it is very close to Kanazawa Marathon starting point. The price during the event was not cheap. It is located in Karimbo area, 1.5km from Kanazawa station. It is also close to Kanazawa Castle, 2km from old town. Very convenient.
Check in process was funny as the hotel uses unmanned system. It can be easy or it can be frustrating.
My room has no desk but a small sitting table. Check out process was just simply dropping key cards to the kiosk and done.
The hotel's location is excellent, making it very convenient for getting around. The rooms are well-equipped and quite spacious. Overall, it was a great stay. I booked a room with breakfast included, and it was incredibly lavish, with fresh ingredients and delicious flavors. I hope to stay here again the next time I visit Kanazawa.
It's fine to stay with children under 12, and there's no extra charge. Some hotels in Japan are very lenient about this, while others are strict, so it's something to be aware of. The hotel has a Muji-style design and a public bath. Aside from the women at the front desk, you mostly use your key card to access the elevators, which is also good. The location is excellent, right across from the seafood market. Taxis aren't expensive either, about 1300 yen to the station.
