4-Star Hotels in Pest, Hungary

Hotel had everything we needed and the staffs were really nice! It is also very near a metro station, supermarket, and good food. Only down side is that the carpet is slightly stained (might be hard to maintain), otherwise all other facilities was really clean and nice. Also note that it might not be for light sleepers as the road sounds are loud and every hour you’ll get big honking/sirens wailing.

The location is absolutely fantastic, right on the Buda side, directly beneath Fisherman's Bastion. We checked in during the evening and could immediately walk to Fisherman's Bastion from the back of the hotel. The Chain Bridge is also just a short downhill walk away. The breakfast spread was very generous, offering a wide variety of cheeses, sausages, and fruits. The front desk staff spoke excellent English. The hotel itself is small but charming. The only minor issue was that the 'double bed' was actually two single beds pushed together, which wasn't ideal for couples wanting to sleep close. Downstairs, you'll find several traditional Portuguese restaurants with reasonable prices.

Although Novotel Budapest is not new, the rooms are well-maintained and the service is excellent. The breakfast buffet is a cut above the rest and the gym and pool are usable. If you’re comfortable taking the bus/AirPort Express it’s not much of an effort to get around (if you’re fit you can walk to Pest np). There’s a great diner/bar across the highway and a mall 5 mins away for a Spar supermarket and upscale restos and shopping. One downside is that they tend to cut the aircon during the weekdays and the rooms can get uncomfortable (Saturdays the room can be colder if you prefer).

The hotel room is clean and comfortable. The location is a bit far from center! There is a nice river view from the hotel room.

I had a wonderful experience staying at the Danubius Hotel Hungaria City Center. The location was perfect — close to the city center and very convenient for public transportation. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were always friendly, helpful, and professional. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options. I really enjoyed my time here and would definitely stay again on my next visit to Budapest!

I chose hotel because of the aesthetics and location. Thought economy room will be plain but it wasn’t! High ceiling, nice room design and beautiful view to courtyard. Me and my teenager daughter enjoyed the stay definitely!

This hotel was clean and all the staff were friendly and helpful. We had lunch at The River Bar which was reasonably priced and the food was good, / We did not have breakfast so cannot comment on that. The room was clean, slightly dated but had everything you needed. The Spa was clean, would recommend to bring sliders/crocs as the floor in the swimming pool area was very slippy, although the hotel does provide a robe and slippers. One of the saunas was out of action but they had other ones available to use. In terms of location it is slightly out of the way, which was nice as it was quiet. We got a taxi and used the tram to get to the city centre which was fairly simple. Overall very good value to stay here and very good that the spa facilities is included at no extra fee. I really liked the hotel. The breakfasts were incredibly tasty and varied, the room had everything you need. The hotel is located next to the supermarket, about 5 minutes walk away. Public transport was also 10-15 minutes away from the hotel. Next time I will definitely stay here.

Having just returned from Madrid, Spain, I found this place incredibly spacious, authentically European in style, and very cozy by comparison. Although there was a minor hiccup – a curtain fixture accidentally fell off the wall, likely due to the building's age – I still quite liked its classic charm. Moreover, the building's location is superb, right at the entrance of a major metro hub. You can get off the airport express, cross the road, and be at the hotel – absolutely no need for a taxi for check-in. Overall, the experience was fantastic. The gentleman at the front desk was exceptionally elegant and polite, making it feel akin to staying at Shanghai's legendary Peace Hotel.

The room was spacious, with a kitchen and washing machine. Transportation was also very convenient, with buses and subways only about a 3-minute walk away. Breakfast was available at New York Cafe, 25 euros per person. The city tax was 10 euros more than what was shown on Ctrip.
