We had a fantastic stay at the Crowne Plaza Baoji. The room was spacious and offered a stunning view of the city and the river . The hotel's location is excellent for both sightseeing and business . A special thank you to Jessica, the manager, who was incredibly helpful and spoke excellent English, making us feel very welcome. In fact, all the staff were remarkably attentive and professional throughout our stay . The facilities, including the indoor pool and the sky bar on the 40th floor, were top-notch . A truly wonderful experience and probably the best hotel in the city!

This hotel is the pinnacle of luxury for a trip to Xi'an! The Scenic Terrace Room at the Yongning Gate雅致酒店 (Yazhi Hotel) was absolutely amazing. The location is simply divine, right next to the Yongning Gate city wall, and within walking distance of the Bell and Drum Towers and the Muslim Quarter. The subway station is just a few minutes away, making it incredibly convenient for exploring and dining. The Scenic Terrace Room we booked was an exceptional experience. The room was spacious and airy, with a light luxury Tang Dynasty-inspired design that created a wonderful atmosphere. The private terrace offered a direct view of the Yongning Gate archery tower – imagine soaking in the ancient charm of the city wall by day, and enjoying the dazzling illuminated Chang'an nightscape by night. Every photo we took looked like a stunning historical drama scene. The entire room featured smart voice control, and the Mousse mattress was incredibly soft and comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The bathroom was clean and tidy with a separate wet and dry area, truly showcasing attention to detail and quality. Anna at the front desk provided exceptional and thoughtful service. We received a delightful afternoon tea upon check-in, and even free late-night snacks. The staff were all enthusiastic and professional, making us feel completely at home.

This was my second stay, and the hotel's location is truly unbeatable. It's directly across the street from the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and right at the northern entrance of the Grand Tang Everbright City. You can easily walk to key attractions like the South Square of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Grand Tang Everbright City, and Qin Han Tang Square, making sightseeing incredibly convenient. Plus, there's Joy City just across the road for all your shopping and dining needs – so handy! The hotel's exterior design is simple yet grand, giving off a very upscale vibe. The hotel is clean and tidy, and I have to praise the bedding in the rooms; it's incredibly comfortable! Make sure to visit the Qujiang Art Museum downstairs; the jade carvings are exquisite masterpieces, and the ceramics exhibition near the exit is also stunning. There's even a Picasso exhibition happening now, and it's free for hotel guests to visit. I especially want to mention how warm and welcoming all the staff are. Upon check-in, I was upgraded to an executive room for free, and on the morning of my departure, they proactively arranged a late check-out and gave me a lovely gift. Their thoughtfulness was truly exceptional, and a special thank you to Candy Jonay and the front desk staff for making me feel so at home. In short, if you want to fully experience the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and Grand Tang Everbright City area, I highly recommend the Westin Hotel. Five stars all the way!

The hotel is very clean, the location is great, and the service is exceptionally good. Our butler, Patric, was very thoughtful. I particularly recommend it for family trips. Other hotels usually have 1.2-meter beds, but this one has two 1.4-meter beds. Our three families, including seniors, small children, and older kids, traveled together for spring break and had a very comfortable stay. The rooms were spacious and didn't feel cramped. On the last day, we were rushing to catch the high-speed train, and to our surprise, Xi'an's traffic was terrible. We almost didn't make it, but thankfully, the front desk helped us get our luggage down in advance and even brought it to our car.

For my trip to Xi'an, I chose the Dongshe Hotel, and its location is absolutely unbeatable, right near the Bell Tower, making it super convenient to visit the Muslim Quarter and Drum Tower. But what surprised me most wasn't the location, but their attention to detail in service. I have to praise the housekeeping; the humidifier in the room was such a thoughtful touch, especially great for those traveling during season changes or to dry areas – my skin didn't feel tight all night. Every staff member I interacted with, from the friendly front desk team at check-in, to the housekeeping auntie, and the restaurant staff, was incredibly sincere and enthusiastic. It wasn't just a professional smile; you could genuinely feel they were dedicated to helping you. The overall experience was fantastic; not only was my stay comfortable, but it also lifted my spirits. The daily afternoon tea and 'goodnight sweet soup' were also thoughtfully prepared. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Xi'an; it's definitely worth staying here.

The front desk staff were incredibly warm and helpful. I'm sensitive to the cold, and they thoughtfully moved me to a room on a higher floor, which I really appreciated! The room itself was unique, with a cave-style *kang* (heated bed) that was a full three meters long. Our balcony overlooked Red Street, and at night, we could watch the illuminated Ferris wheel 🎡. I'll definitely stay here again next summer! 👍👍👍

A perfect experience for a family trip. The hotel is in a very good location, right by the Han River, integrated with Tianhan Park, and has a very good environment The hotel service is first-class, the facilities are very new, and it feels very high-end The breakfast is very good, the hot rice noodles are a must, I ate bowl after bowl until I couldn't eat anymore, it's much better than eating out There is a 30 yuan noodle buffet for lunch, which is amazing! Every kind of noodle is delicious, oil splash, pulled noodles, the children ate bowl after bowl, amazing! Next time I come to Hanzhong, I will stay here again

Staying at a hotel near the Bell Tower in Xi'an was incredibly convenient for getting around. I could easily walk to the Muslim Quarter and the City Wall. The room was clean and comfortable, and I had an amazing view of the Bell Tower at night, which was absolutely stunning. The front desk staff were really friendly and even gave great recommendations for local food. Breakfast included Roujiamo and Hurat汤 (Spicy Soup), which were authentic and filling. Although parking was a bit of a hassle, the overall value for money was excellent. It’s definitely an ideal base to experience the charm of this ancient capital.

We booked the hotel for just one night, but were absolutely delighted! Everything was at the highest level: very beautiful, cozy, and clean. The view from the room was simply stunning—it was a real pleasure to wake up to such a panorama. We would especially like to express our sincere gratitude to the manager, Aliya. She explained everything in detail, showed us around, and was incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming. Thanks to her, our stay became even more comfortable. A special thank you as well for the wonderful birthday surprise! My husband was truly pleased to receive such a thoughtful gesture—the celebratory cake and breakfast with a breathtaking view made the day truly special. We would be happy to return again and will definitely recommend your hotel!

The hotel's location is convenient, just a 10-minute walk from the subway station. The decor is very unique, blending with the ancient capital's style. What left the deepest impression was the hotel's daily breakfast, which features a collection of Xi'an specialty snacks like oily noodles (youpo mian), rice noodles (mipi), and 'water basin' beef (shuipen niurou). The hotel's specialty snacks are even better than those outside; every day I was in Xi'an, I felt the hotel's food was the best, surpassing even highly-rated restaurants on Dazhong Dianping. Furthermore, the breakfast service was excellent – warm, polite, and very efficient. It's one of the best and most memorable service experiences I've had at a five-star hotel.👍👍

LLandaorenI hadn't stayed at Sofitel Legend before, but I had twice stayed at the Sofitel and Mercure hotels next door (Mercure has since closed down). However, I've always had an irresistible attraction to hotels with a rich history, especially those converted from former high-level government guesthouses (let's call them 'old money hotels'). While planning where to go for the 2026 Chinese New Year, a short video platform surprisingly pushed this hotel that had always intrigued me. I checked the prices, and compared to other five-star hotels in Xi'an, it was significantly cheaper, so I booked a New Year's Eve stay. Upon arrival, the doorman promptly opened the car door and helped with our luggage, which goes without saying (though, to be fair, many five-star hotel doormen nowadays lack such proactiveness). The front desk staff efficiently and smoothly handled the check-in process, offering a choice of champagne, coffee, or black tea as a welcome drink. While resting in the lounge area, I happened to see a few young women taking photos in the hotel's coffee corner, adding a lively touch to the atmosphere. The attendant escorted us to our room, briefly introducing the hotel's history. Built in the 1950s, it served as a provincial guesthouse, combining Soviet, French, and traditional Chinese architectural styles. The complimentary bottled water was also in Tetra Pak packaging, reflecting the hotel's commitment to green practices. During our stay, the restaurant's host remembered our preferences by the second day. The 'shui盆牛肉' (beef soup) with 'baiji mo' (flatbread) was incredibly fragrant and chewy; I almost wanted to pack some to take home. The butler service was also impeccable, with turn-down service promptly at 7 PM every evening. The local specialty drink, 'Bingfeng' soda, was a delightful taste sensation. On the morning of the first day of Chinese New Year, the hotel arranged a lion dance performance – I never expected to see a Southern Lion dance team in Xi'an. Although the hotel only has 71 guest rooms, excluding the few business presidential suites that are rarely occupied by ordinary guests, there are about 60 rooms. Based on my observations during our 4-day, 3-night stay over Chinese New Year, there were probably only 8-9 other occupied rooms, so the overall occupancy rate wasn't high. Perhaps most people don't choose this place, as its exterior appears very understated and discreet. However, I highly recommend it, especially when traveling with elderly family members. The location is super convenient for getting around, just a 10-minute walk from Wulukou Station on Metro Line 1 (right next to Minleyuan and Wanda Plaza). I'd love to stay here again next time I visit Xi'an, haha! 😄

JJohnTingThis is more than a hotel. It is a sanctuary in the middle of bustling Xi'an. We were always welcomed with a warm smile by the staff daily. The hotel was tastefully designed and exuded warmth and calmness. The clever use of earthly colours and heavy accent on the usage of timber created an inviting atmosphere. The usage of lightings to highlight certain objects while casting shadows around said objects created an impression of an art gallery. One word to describe this hotel.... LOVELY!!! The butler service in servicing breakfast, afternoon tea and supper was highly appreciated. One added bonus for me was that I was able to photograph Bell Tower in peace and luxury at the top open deck. Highly recommended this hotel for relaxation and also photographing Bell Tower

GGuest UserThis was my third visit to the Huaqing Palace, and it was only by staying at this hotel that I truly understood what Huaqing Palace is all about and why it's so special. To truly appreciate it, you have to experience Huaqing Palace under Mount Li after the crowds have dispersed at dusk and before they arrive in the morning. While there are other decent hotels nearby, this is the only one located within the Huaqing Palace grounds. Almost every room comes with a private hot spring, and I particularly recommend the rooms with an outdoor private hot spring – the experience is simply wonderful. The hotel staff are all very friendly, and the restaurant is quite impressive; I had all my meals at the hotel during my stay. Although the restaurant is a short walk from the hotel, there's a shuttle service, and it's not a long walk anyway. On a nice day, you can even enjoy the scenery along the way and digest your meal. All in all, this hotel exceeded my expectations in every way, with no disappointments whatsoever. If I come back again, it will definitely be my top choice.

JJ4ckyService: 10/10 What an amazing stay here at the Intercontinental, stayed here for 4 nights in the Deluxe King room. Arrived and checked in late at 12AM, the staff were pleasant and respectful, quick and got me settled in. The staff were very attentive and service just impeccable - consistent in greetings at each turn and always double even triple checking if you require and help. Room: 8/10 The rooms are clean, and cleaned on a daily. The cleaning lady was incredibly attentive, on the first night I asked for more water as the room only came with two, consistently day after day they left 4 bottles for me which was really appreciated on my part - it’s a minor thing but it really elevates the experience. Room is quiet, can’t hear a thing from the opposite rooms. Occasionally there are some sounds from the door but it’s really unnoticeable. Shower; the only reason why i didn’t give it full marks. Maybe it’s personal preference but the water does not seem to get hot enough, the water pressure on the shower head seems a bit lacking. Nevertheless though, don’t let that deter you from booking as it’s still an overall great stay. Tub; no complaints, water runs hot, what better way to relax and kick back after a day of being a tourist and walking 20k. Location: 10/10 I think this one is completely subjective to personal preference. The location is in the midst of white collar working towers so there is quite a bit of traffic. There is a subway station close by as well -though I never used it as I took a Didi 100% of the time. A mall is nearby within walking distance but again didn’t go. Most commutes by didi take 20-30 minutes due to the traffic but honestly looking at the Westin or other hotels in prime tourist locations (ex. Pagoda , bell tower etc) there is sooo much traffic and noise as they have so many different activities happening there. For me this location have me back some silence after a long day out. Atmosphere: 10/10 The hotel is beautifully decorated, cleaned throughout. Jo Malone fragrances in every elevator. It was such a relaxing atmosphere to be in. Breakfast: 10/10 If you can, give the breakfast a try. There’s a huge variety of Xi’an delectables you can try, from the roujiamo, liangpi etc that are available plus a mixture of western food. The staff I must commend once more are incredibly attentive and always try to make your experience better. Final thoughts - highly recommend the intercontinental Xi’an for your next stay. I truly enjoyed it and would recommend it for those coming for a 5 star experience!

GGuest UserThe hotel's right next to Longshouyuan subway station, which is super convenient for getting around. Plus, there are two shopping complexes directly opposite, so food and shopping are a breeze. The room itself was quite spacious, and I really liked the lighting design and dimming options. Overall, the facilities were decent. My only complaints are that the TV quality was really poor, and the disposable toothbrush provided was low quality. Service was fine, but the staff all seemed a bit unhappy.

GGuest UserThis stay was such a pleasant surprise! The hotel's overall environment is elegant and quiet, with a fantastic ambiance. As soon as I walked in, I felt incredibly comfortable; there were no strange odors, and the entire room was spotless, with every corner meticulously cleaned. I felt completely at ease about the hygiene. The front desk staff – Talia, Kitty, Peter, and Chris – all provided outstanding service. The room itself was spacious and didn't feel cramped, with simple yet sophisticated decor. The lighting was soft and warm, creating a perfect atmosphere. The mattress was incredibly comfortable, instantly relieving all my travel fatigue. The amenities were thoughtfully prepared; the towels were soft and clean, all the disposable items were well-stocked, and there were even complimentary bottled water and tea bags. I was rushing for my flight and left my work phone in the room. He immediately went upstairs and quickly found it for me. Aaccy09 The Platinum Man Ao Victory Hotel is conveniently located just outside the city walls, near Hepingmen (Peace Gate). It's right above Exit A of Hepingmen Station on Metro Line 4, making it super easy to get to all the city's attractions and museums by bus or taxi. The Victory Hotel, rebuilt in a Republic of China style, exudes a luxurious and elegant atmosphere. The receptionists were all very warm and polite, always greeting me when I came and went. I was given a spacious and elegant high-floor room, showcasing a distinctly Shanghainese charm. The room boasted high-end amenities like a smart toilet and electric curtains. The 64-inch super large TV was the biggest I've ever seen in any luxury five-star hotel, though I admit I struggled a bit with the internet TV settings. I had a very comfortable and quiet stay for several days. The housekeeping staff were all excellent, and I'd also like to thank the restaurant supervisor and other staff for helping me refrigerate my medication. Breakfast is served on the 12th floor, the top level. The food selection was impressive; I particularly enjoyed the beef brisket and salt and pepper ribs, which were better than what I've had at other Crowne Plazas. They also offered Xian's specialty, Zēng Gāo (steamed glutinous rice cake). You can overlook the city walls from the window, and I saw many foreign tourists leisurely enjoying their breakfast while admiring the view. Additionally, there's a coffee machine in the lobby for self-service, and ordering takeout is convenient as a robot delivers it to your room. I was extremely satisfied with my stay at Platinum Man Ao during this trip to Xi'an, and I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Xi'an.
