4-Star Hotels in Galicia, Spain

I chose this option as we needed to be near the train station during our stay for a number of day trips elsewhere in Galicia and I am quite happy I chose this option as other options dotted around the city would have resulted in long walks, bus journeys or taxis. This hotel is located in Cuatro Caminos so close to the bus station and about a 10 minute walk from the train station. We booked a Premium Junior Suite which averaged €80 a night including breakfast. The room on the top floor was lovely and spacious. Beds were really comfortable and large. The bathroom area was large with separate bath and shower areas. For those wondering about standard rooms the ones on the 5th floor at least are in the same decoration as this one but half the size. The room lacks tea and coffee facilities in the room but there is a vending machine downstairs. There is a minibar in the room but its also cheaper to use the machines downstairs if needed. Breakfast was ok not the best, but not the worst I've had. The hotel is heavily used in winter by Spanish IMSERSO groups. Thankfully the guests being older are all asleep well before midnight so peace and quiet is more or less guaranteed at night. They are also funnelled off into a separate dining area for breakfast so it never feels too crowded. Wifi works reasonably well and is free for guests. Another plus point here is that you can have your luggage stored on the day of departure. A taxi is about €15 each way to and from the Airport and takes about 10 minutes. I would stay here again if given the choice of hotels in A Coruña.

Hotel is very conveniently located near to restaurants, port, shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel itself was very clean with lovely white towels and bedding. The terrace was only available for functions - not for comfort of guests The secret room seemed to have nice saying and tables but again not for guests use Downside - no bar, no restaurant (except for breakfast), no room service! Mini bar was just a small empty fridge No shower cap in bathroom, no cotton buds Not really what I expect from 4 star hotel anywhere in the world!

Chose this hotel due to location, was glad I did as it was perfect for us. The beds are really comfy and the shower good, the staff were all very friendly. It is a great value for money option .There are a few things which would make the stay even better. No kettles in the room, it is only when you don’t have it you realise you miss it!, no iron in the room. The hotel provides an ironing service but no use for last minute ironing. The TV didn’t have many stations and the remote was quite unresponsive. The bar shuts early so you can’t have a night drink, you need to go to a bar outside and bring it back into the hotel. Whilst you will sleep great cos the beds are great the wardrobe doors slide and bang so you will be woken by other guests. These should be soft touch closing All this said I would stay here again

It was not a buffet but a letter request, but everything was very well prepared and in a very generous amount. We appreciate the concern that everything was perfect for us.

Ubicación excelente en la zona del Obelisco, desde donde parten las principales arterias comerciales de la ciudad, y a menos de diez minutos de la plaza de María Pita. Instalaciones cuidadas. Habitación amplia y luminosa. Las vistas a los jardines de Méndez Núñez y al propio Obelisco eran espectaculares. Podía verse hasta la luz de la torre de Hércules (que no la torre) tras los edificios. Buena insonorización para el trasiego de vehículos y personas que había en las inmediaciones. Desayuno calcado de otros Eurostars, con rincón de productos regionales. Nos coincidió con el concurso de saltos de Casas Novas y muchos de los jinetes se hospedaron allí, por lo que debe de ser toda una institución en la ciudad. Fuimos compañeros de desayuno de Cayetano Martínez de Irujo durante unos minutos... Jaja. El acceso al hotel es un poco complicado, incluso con GPS. En cuanto al tema del aparcamiento, es mejor soltar las maletas y quit**** de en medio. Como punto negativo señalaría la falta de mantenimiento del edificio, que es lo que primero ve uno, y la falta de limpieza de los poyetes de las ventanas del desayuno, llenos de cagadas de palomas.

NH is one of our go-to hotel chains and this particular hotel in Ourense did not disappoint. Eva C at the front desk was particularly helpful to us. I had a lot of questions about getting to the thermal baths and she addressed them all. We were very pleased with the room, which was a good size, and a perfect base for two days. The shower was hot with strong water flow. If management is reading this, I have only two negative comments and one minor quibble: First, the rug outside the elevator on the floor our room was on was extremely stained and dirty. It was a little off-putting, to be honest, and should be addressed. Second, the situation with the clear walls in the bathroom should be further rectified. Putting a window shade on one side does not fully solve the privacy problem, as the door is still fully clear. To this end: readers of this review should note that you should check out whether the room you will be staying in has a clear bathroom wall looking out onto where the bed is. If so, it would not be a comfortable room to stay in with another person unless one is on very intimate, not self-conscious terms with that person. The minor quibble is that it would be nice to have a small bar of soap on the bathroom sink. The liquid soap was in a metal holder that was not mounted close enough to the sink. In fact, the lotion was mounted closer to the sink than the soap! It made hand washing very awkward.

The location of the hotel is excellent, you don't need to take a taxi from the airport, you can get there directly by bus, and it only costs 3 euros. The ancient city is just across the road from the hotel, and it’s easy to visit and eat.

In desperate need of some TLC. Studio apartment,no kettle asked and got one straight away. No toaster but not a problem as we decided to take breakfast in the hotel. Bathroom vent full of thick dust and fluff and had to insist that they clean it. Scandinavia type furniture which didn't really work with the pink marble floors. Bed was comfy. Reception helpful and pleasant. Would have had the New year gala dinner in the associated restaurant but at the asking price of 250 euros per person no way. Tremendous promotion of Vigo for Christmas and the illuminations from the Mayor of Vigo but absolutely not geared for tourism. 1st of January and everything closed. Definitely not recommend in winter.

It’s a bit away from the attraction, but it’s more convenient to drive. The underground garage can be directly connected to the floor where the room is located. The room is a suite with an extra bed. The surrounding is very quiet.

Big size clean room along with big bathroom and terrace. My husband and I had to work and we needed a reliable wifi ( WiFi was fast and very reliable, never went out). The hotel is located in outskirts, few blocks you can find restaurants, cafes. Take bus #11 in front of Beer factory(located next to the hotel) and takes around the center of city around 15-20 min.

Beautiful new hotel in this amazing city! Super friendly staff and great rooms. Highly recommended!!! Hünico restaurant has a great atmosphere and the food has an amazing quality. Great for breaksfast and dinner.

The hotel is very comfortable, clean and located near the entrance and exit of the city and near Matograde where there is a wide variety of restaurants to eat or swallow something. The hotel is located in a quiet and noise-free area, very careful and friendly staff, I recommend 100%.

The hotel is deep in the residential area, close to the sea. There is a swimming beach next to the hotel. It is very close to the famous ancient Roman lighthouse scenic spot. It takes about 10 minutes to walk there with sea views along the way. If you go into the city, go in the opposite direction and walk to the old city center square and food district in about 20 minutes. The hotel facilities and bedding are very good. The greenery in the courtyard is beautiful and there are plenty of free parking spaces.

Easy access from the highway and to the garage. Very nice hotel with great staff. They explained where to get a taxi or bus into town which was very helpful. Breakfast selection was great too. Room was very comfortable. Several restaurants and bars close by and a supermarket. Only disappointment was that there was no English speaking channel on TV! Would definitely stay here again!

Ya hemos estado más veces, pero este fin de semana (28 al 30 de junio) ha sido positivamente destacable, tanto por la amabilidad como por la profesionalidad de todo el personal, en especial el del servicio de desayuno y recepción. La habitación era muy amplia y muy bien climatizada.

I really enjoyed this place, it was beyond my expectations. The location is really beautiful, nested between the mountain and the coastline in a gorgeous setting. The establishment doesn´t have the swanky atmosphere of others but a rather casual and relaxed vibe. The facitilies are clean and well kept. My room had a nice balcony facing the sea and the views were fantastic. Simple decor and good beds. My reservation included access to the spa. Although it´s not brand new, its rather big, and there are lots of jets and so on. Jets are strong and the water temperature was really ok. The only downside is that your stay is limited, in order to allow other clients come and use the facility. One of the strong points here is food, not only the breakfast -even the orange juice- was very good, the restaurant service was fantastic, which is an important factor if you plan to go on a half-board regime, as the hotel is located by the road: there are some towns around, but you need to go there by car. Food was abundant, well cooked and presented and soft-flavoured. There´s also a beautiful terrace, ideal to enjoy the sunset views as you have a drink with your friends. Nice and efficient staff.

Excellent location in the center of Vigo. Very close to bus stops. Not far from the railway station or bus station. Nearby a lot of restaurants, as well as bakeries or shops. The room is quite spacious and well decorated. Clean and clean every day. Good silent. Wi-Fi or air conditioning worked without problems. Maybe a few handle gowns I would find (e.g. very small refrigerator), but all compensate for the view of the port and the Vigo estuarium. Fairy. The bathroom is pleasant and functional. For the service of no comments.

Pluses We stayed a wonderful four weeks in this lovely hotel from late July to late August 2022 , using it as a home base for extensive travel around western Galicia. Staff were very responsive and helpful. No request was too much trouble for them. Excellent estuary views on the side facing the ria and partial estuary views on side facing car park. Good, varied breakfast available. Attractive bar with light meals inside facing car park at back of hotel. Main restaurant and Bistro face the ria. Rooms comfortable and pleasant with excellent views from 'internal' glazed balcony with wall-to-wall picture windows. Outdoor pool area facing the ria was well tended with different seating areas. It opens late and closes late by UK standards as it stays light until late in this part of Spain. Bar service available round the pool. Generally, cleaning was good throughout. Staff wore masks. Minus Indoor Spa pool was payment only. I did not use ot as tge weatger was mostly very goid so used tge putdoor pool. It looked pleasant. Was not very big and every time I asked the price at the Spa reception I was told a different answer. It might have been a language problem. I could not see the price prominently displayed but perhaps it was written somewhere in Spanish. Reception had told me to ask at the Spa reception. The dining tables by the pool are for the restaurant menu only at lunchtime. No pool snacks available. However, bar service is available round the pool and there were two or three bar tables with seating next to the ria. Personally, I wore a mask in the breakfast room when not eating. Very few people did so aart from tge staff. I would have liked to see more bottles of alcogel around and disposable gloves to wear at the buffet for handling implements. Everytime I took something from the buffet I popped out to use alcogel or wash my hands before eating. There was no real outdoor area to take breakfast so I opened one of the picture windows a little near me each time to get some fresh air. This contrasted with the situation at the Makedonia Palace Hotel in Thessaloniki where we had stayed recently and where there was a bottle of alcogel on each table and guests had to wear masks and disposable gloves at the buffet.

Buena ubicación y no se oía nada pese a estar en una calle transitada,habitación con cama muy cómodas y personal muy atento ,no es un hotel moderno pero estaba todo muy limpio ,con el coche a 5 minutos del centro!!

The most outstanding quality of the hotel is its attentative personnel, in particular the waiters at the restaurant. The prices for accommodation are very reasonable. The breakfast buffet is quite ok. The food offered for lunch is excellent and its price unbeatable. Much like the hotel, the rooms have the air of the typical hotels built in the 70s or 80s. Even if you don't like this type of architecture, you will find clean and well equipped rooms. The room service is very good. The hotel is located in a quiet residential area a bit far from the centre of Vigo (about 10 to 15 mins. by car or bus). However, the nice and cosy village of Bouzas is in walking distance (about 10 to 15 mins.)! There you find excellent tapas bars, pubs (even a craft beer pub), and very good restaurants. There is also a nice promenade along the sea. Try to get a room located in backside of the hotel (opposite to the entrance). There you have a at least view to the sea and, well, onto the roof of the nearby supermarket, which is quite excellent btw.

Can I give a score of 6/5? This hotel was truly our home away from home for 2 weeks while my mother was in hospital recovering from surgery. Often when you stay somewhere for a long time you start to see the faults of a place. This hotel has no faults. The staff are truly exceptional. They constantly attended to every request we had, from printing and copying documents for us, bringing us wine when needed, calling a taxi for us, maintaining the utmost cleanliness of our room, and providing a great breakfast every morning (even providing a picnic breakfast when we had to leave at 5am). They even put up with us non-Spanish speakers without complaint or problem. The only thing that was tricky was the dimensions of the underground parking… bring a small vehicle!

This was a very clean and comfortable hotel. I had an interior room and the window was very small. Especially if you anticipate jetlag and find light helpful to adjust, this room type may not be for you. In the room there was a refrigerator with minibar items. And an espresso machine. Also a tea kettle. The English of the people at the front desk was good. And I was able to check in early, which was much appreciated after travel.

Inconvenient location. Located next to a Conference Center, it was quiet, even with a lot of young folks milling around outside. We had to walk quite a ways to find us a decent restaurant. Quite far from places. The hotel was dated, the rooms also dated. Except for the Dining Room which had a beautiful view of the seafront! Breakfast was quite a treat because of it. When we arrived, the housekeeping cleaning trolley was right there in the lobby for all to see. We had to go to Front Desk ourselves to get our iron as I guess they really don't have Housekeeping service at night or something. I'm not sure. Although our room was spacious, the dark wood and dated look of it, including the drapes, didn't give the impression that it was very clean. Dull color all around. The photos on the booking sites make the hotel look like it's very new and updated, but it's really old and needs refurbishing inside. When my son went out to walk around at night, an old woman approached him asking for money and when he started to walk away she demanded he give her some money, speaking very aggressively to him. It was disturbing. I don't believe this was a very safe location after all.
