Great value for money, very satisfied overall.
1) Convenience store nearby
2) Ski rental shop nearby
3) Acceptable walking distance to the Shinkansen station
4) Daily room cleaning service
5) The owner is very kind and friendly
6) Laundry room and drying facilities for clothes and ski gear available
7) Would be even more perfect for ski enthusiasts if they had a car
Although this place isn't right on the ski slopes, they offer a shuttle service. The rooms are spacious enough, and the staff are friendly and can speak both Chinese and Japanese. They can also help you rent ski equipment, and the rental fees are much cheaper than at the ski center. The bathhouse has a nostalgic vibe. If you want breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you need to book with the owner in advance. The meals are affordable and come in generous portions. This is the best accommodation choice if you're planning a ski trip without a tour group.
Last time I couldn't stay at the Sanjo Festival because it was full, but this time there was a vacancy and it was saved. I always use it, but there is no complaint.
Although the hotel is a bit old, the room is renovated, bright and clean, and the area is large. The hot spring is comfortable. The hotel is next to the ski slopes. It is very convenient to ski in winter. The breakfast and dinner are buffets. I did not patronize, but there is a restaurant nearby. I am not afraid of nothing to eat.
I chose it with rice and source hanging water in Uonuma.
Anyway, the hot water was good. The hot springs that you can enter while cooling in the open air are exceptional. My skin became chewy and I was happy with the smoothness.
The building is old but the interior is clean and I like it with fashionable furniture. I also like the service between reasonable distances. The rice for dinner was as good as expected and delicious. However, the set meal was fried meat and fish and fried fish oyster set meal, but it was heavy for me. But all the side dishes were delicious with 4! I thought that there was an attractive okazu in the single item, and if there was a set of rice miso soup side dishes, I could assemble my favorite dinner with a single item 〜.
It was a nice inn where you can see the rice fields after harvesting and the autumn mountains 々. The heron was taking a rest on the roof.
Excellent service. You got everthing you need in the room. Also got free coffee, tea, cake in the lobby. Free parking. Recommended for short stay. Huge bed very comfortable.
Xinyi is the kingdom of rice, specialty super delicious white rice. And stone pellets are the premier white rice in Japan.
Very recommended for one berth and two food plans, I have 3 bowls of white rice or more! ! ! !
ski center meals are provided with home-grown very high-quality white rice, crystal clear, grains are full! ! !
Breakfast can have irregular yam mud with raw eggs, soy sauce, rice heart will not absorb too much eggs and sauce, just the right elasticity and Q bullet, the appearance with yam smooth tenderness, soy sauce glycol, fresh eggs aftertaste endless, so that every grain of rice can fully show its own flavor, Serve with local Japanese home-cooked pickles, let the taste buds wake up, bowl after bowl.
In the evening, there will be sea and land double fights, the main dishes are made very carefully, usually a pig chicken cattle with fish. There will also be a Japanese and Western exchange. On the same day, we enjoyed a row of dishes and grilled fish, a row of pork chops, the salty, fatty fat of pigs with a perfect white rice with a light rice flavor, which became the perfect golden combination. The grilled fish is very tasty, the soy sauce is salty in the sweetness of the sweetness of the rice with the white rice, and the aroma of the rice makes the fish feel softer and more flavorful! In the perfect replacement of meat, fish, rice three ingredients, multiple tastes, wonderful taste, very delicious, after the end of the skiing day with this meal draw the best end, as if today's soreness and hard work can be released, regain the new tomorrow's battle.
In the meal and after the meal can choose the new flavor beer, Japanese wine, whiskey, dessert after the meal.
This is the best meal I have ever had in the snow field, and I have never forgotten it!
The ski center is genuine and affordable. All aspects of the accommodation are very Japanese and warm, and the boss family is very nice and very enthusiastic.
Downstairs can adjust equipment, laundry, singing, bathing, and facilities are abundant.
Because on the mountain, in the morning you can be the first to use the just-pressed snow trail, carving practice is super stress free, can be used up alone.
At night, you can use up the entire snow trail when the last group of night skiing. The location is just right next to the green line, and novices need not have pressure.
The only fly in the ointment is that you need to take sunrise express up, then take the chairlift down, and then there will be a snowmobile pick-up (winter), but you need to drag your luggage around the snowy hillside in the middle.
Next time I will prepare all the equipment with my back! ! ! !
Very nice, bunk room good for school group or backpacker, with convenient infrastructure include restaurant, vending machine, microwave and public bath, recommend to drive there.
To get to the reception lobby, you first go up to the 5th floor to check in, then take a separate elevator to your room. The facilities are a little old-fashioned.
The location was easy to find, but the parking lot was hard to find. I stayed on a weekday, so it was fine, but if you stay on the weekend or during busy periods, you have to parallel park on a slope, which is inconvenient. I only stayed overnight, so I had a hard time finding a place to eat nearby.
I liked that there was a large public bath and that the rooms overlooked the Sea of Japan.
Exit at east exit from train station Walk straight ..owner very nice . Can use laundry after asking him . Onsen at 2/F. Can lock up for private use. Family mart nearby
Akakura Onsen is a great little Japanese town in the snow. Akakura Park Hotel provided a large twin room, with AC and a small fridge, small lounge and lots of space (unusual for Japan). Breakfast was a western buffet with japanese options also. Drying room and a nice hot en also. Only issue is that the ski lift is a 400m walk up a slope and then back again at the end of the day. Lots of small japanese restaurants available in the main street but you have to book the day before for some. Lots of snow and one blue sky day for our week of skiing.
This is a family run stay. The owners were so welcoming and friendly, even with my non existent Japanese skills. With a translation app helping out for anything more challenging. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was traditional Japanese and tasty. Location was great. A short walk to the local bus route to all the resorts(5min). There is even the local community but that runs right outside it. After skiing yhey even have a amall onsite onsen to relax in
amazingg really. super close to snow resort and goog view at snow area n snow mountain 🏔️ love it so much 🇯🇵🗻❄️🩵🩵🩵 staff were so nice. cool places. amazing view. so cheap.
This is a truly relaxing place. At night, stargazing under a light-pollution-free sky allows you to completely immerse yourself in natural tranquility. The hot spring water is gentle and soothing, the large public bath is spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast is exquisite and delicious. It's a truly healing journey.
What a wonderful area and made even more special by the owner /cook / hostess and all around cool lady Keiko . Highly recommend the place not only for easy location but great jazz vibes
I really enjoyed my stay! The host was super friendly and made the whole experience even better. The place is about a 15-minute drive from the city center, so it’s not right in the middle of things, but the amazing view totally makes up for it. It’s such a nice spot to chill and take in the scenery. Plus, the WiFi was really fast, which was a big win for me. Would definitely stay here again!
The host were really nice and they dropped us off at the chairlift every day. We skied home to the door after skiing. The place was clean with an onsen before dinner. Dinner and breakfast was traditional Japanese which was fantastic. The town is quiet but you can get a ride to akakura if you wanted to go out but we were happy just resting after a big day on the mountain.
Another hotel which we enjoyed the private onsen as no one was using when we were there ! Highly recommend ! It is outta the way// but part of our journey back to Nagano. Rooms were very big- tatami style…
