Very good location, near the train station, bus stop and Nagazato ski center.
the room is moderately spacious, but not soundproof
Shared bathroom with onsen bath
Very good food
the owner is nice, try to communicate with foreigners, recommend and lend snow boots
It is very suitable for people to go to snow ski snow in Yuzawa Nakazato.
The service staff is very friendly and fluent in Chinese, Japanese and English. They can help you solve various problems, such as taking a taxi or mailing luggage. I will stay here again next time.
The host were really nice and they dropped us off at the chairlift every day. We skied home to the door after skiing. The place was clean with an onsen before dinner. Dinner and breakfast was traditional Japanese which was fantastic. The town is quiet but you can get a ride to akakura if you wanted to go out but we were happy just resting after a big day on the mountain.
Great stay at a Japanese bed and breakfast style accomodation. Owners are an elderly Japanese couple who speaks average English but we get by. Free transport to and fro ski slopes even though they are a 1.2 km walk away from Akakura Onsen main street. Owner was also kind enough to drive us to the train station for our rest day from snowboard. Breakfast was great! Room had attached toilets and were super clean. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Will stay here again next time I come to Myoko Kogen
I stayed at my maternal grave.
There was dinner and breakfast, but both were delicious.
However, the amount is quite large, so those who eat less may not be able to eat it.
The building is old and there are many insects outside because the mountain is close, but it did not come into the room.
Because Niigata was a hot day, the air conditioning was not effective 々, and the common parts such as the corridor were quite hot because there was no air conditioning.
Instead, I'm grateful that you can always put hot springs in.
It was said that there was a possibility that there was a cat, but this time I couldn't meet it because I was bad luck.
This is a clean and tidy hotel. The room faces mountains with great view. The lady in charge is super nice. Although it is not close to central ski centre, it only takes a few more minutes walk. We were offered a free lift to the train station which saved us lots of trouble. Also, the meals prepared were delicious and served in a nicely decorated cafe area.
The owner is fantastic. I've stayed here multiple times, and he's always incredibly helpful with any issues. This time, I opted for a Japanese-style room, and it was really spacious.
Small hotel in the ski resort 🏡 Very friendly owner and couple 👫 Prepared loft room for 3 of us (4 people can sleep up and down), carefully prepared breakfast and dinner 👍 The next day the boss drove us to nearby attractions to play 😎 Thank you.
Check-in and out response was explained as light 々 without affection. I'm sorry, but I couldn't think of it from me who is in the service industry. The futon was thin with a futon 1 sheets and everyone was in the morning, and it was the same impression as !! It was breakfast, but the impression that the meal charge was very caring. There were many kinds, but the amount was small, and neither the husband nor the high school student children were insufficient...
The bath was very good.

GGuest UserThe lady at the counter was so accommodating. Provided everything we needed and was happy to help in any other way. Spoke a little English but used google translate to help. We couldn't use the dining room for dinner, I think that had to be booked in advance. There was only one or two other places open in town at 7.30pm for dinner. So wasn't many options. The room had stains all over the floor, but otherwise the beds were clean, and comfortable being on the harder springy side, and the bathroom was very clean. The onsen was amazing. The room was a good size, and had extra toilets down the hall if we needed them. The Japanese breakfast that was provided was fantastic. We only stayed one night because we were walking the next day just near there otherwise would have stayed in a bigger town, because of the limited outside facilities. But for the price and it was convenient it was good. Would stay again if I had to, but otherwise would go for a bit nicer place.
AAnonymous UserThe location is quite easy to find!
It is very close to Ishidawan Ski Resort, less than 5 minutes' walk away
But the only small drawback is that the whole homestay does not have a strong heating
Therefore, it may be cold when you go to the toilet or blow dry your hair.
Even when blowing hair, it is easy to trip the battery.

AAnonymous UserHotel has good heating so perfect for winter stay. Nice fireplace area and nice holding area before stepping out into the cold. The hotel is down a hill from the main thoroughfare. A bit slippery downhill when it becomes icy. Run like a hotel so maybe a bit cold compared to a bed and breakfast. Onsen bath seems a bit dirty with things floating in there compared to other hotels we stayed at. We needed to move to another hotel which is 2km away and the guy offered to drive us there for 2000 yen! Just 1 luggage each and no skis. So on the whole just cold. Breakfast was 1000 yen seemed simple so we skipped and opted to eat in town instead. Probably won't stay there again.
SStabackThis place is just 5 minutes away from ishiuchi maruyama ski gondola. Great value place to stay which is easily bookable.
Owner provided transfer to and from echigo yuzawa station. Very friendly and even helped to carry the heavy luggage up the car and to our room. No lift access which is very common in smaller places like these.
Two private bathhouse available for sharing.
Rental price is great and he took great effort in ensuring fit. Also discounted gondola prices available.
Breakfast was delicious which was included too.
Overall owner and his wife are very warm to all the customers. Would stay here again!
KKatieKeiko was a lovely host. She was super friendly and welcoming to the area. She was available for any questions we had and was also able to provide a freshly cooked breakfast/dinner at a very small cost. There was free parking behind the accommodation which was great as we had our own entry/exit after hours.
The room was spacious, but while the heating wasn't very strong, the bedding was extremely warm and comfortable.
Would be more than happy to stay here again any time we're in the area!

SSamuel JasonI really enjoyed my stay! The host was super friendly and made the whole experience even better. The place is about a 15-minute drive from the city center, so it’s not right in the middle of things, but the amazing view totally makes up for it. It’s such a nice spot to chill and take in the scenery. Plus, the WiFi was really fast, which was a big win for me. Would definitely stay here again!
