It may be that most of the motorcycles in Athens are modified, and the hotel is located on the main road, so it is quite noisy both during the day and at night. In addition, during the National Day holiday, I feel that it is not as cost-effective as the nearly 3K per night.
The hotel is very clean and the waiters are very considerate. My husband caught a cold and had a fever on the second day after checking in. The hotel staff took the initiative to call and ask if he needed help. On the last day of checkout, they also asked if he had recovered. There are also a variety of beautiful desserts in the hotel lobby for guests to taste. The hotel is also very conveniently located. It is within walking distance to various important attractions. There are also many restaurants and bars nearby. It is worth mentioning that the hotel's breakfast is very delicious. If you come to Athens again, the dolli is definitely the best choice!
We recently stayed here and had a wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment wr arrived. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The location was great, close to everything we wanted to see and do. The breakfast buffet was great with plenty of choices. I highly recommend staying here for a comfortable and enjoyable stay while in Greece. There are a maze of options but you will do yourself a favour by staying here.

Royal Olympic Hotel is a fabulous hotel, beautifully decorated with Athenian marble and offers great views of the Acropolis and Athens especially from the rooftop restaurant. It’s worth it to pay a little extra for a room with a view of the city and The Acropolis! ! Breakfast was very good but not to par with the hotel’s 5 star rating. Though the restaurant service is excellent. In today’s world with so many tech devices, there is insufficient electrical receptacles in the room especially by the nightstand and bathroom and there are no USB type charging receptacles. Perhaps it’s time for a makeover into the tech world while maintaining the classic elegance Royal Olympic Hotel offers.
I was there for three days with family the hotel very safe, and the room is big and very clean, the breakfast is internation buffet, it was amazing. the stuff was. helpful and they made quicker check in, and they give me late checkout, the location is very close to acropolis and to the busy area I was forgotten 1700 USD.in the safe box. and the manager he holds it and keep. that I was very glad for what they do, I am very recommend it. defiantly I will back again

The room is in a great location, in the center of Athens, quiet in the bustling area. It is worth mentioning that their breakfast is made to order, and it is of a very high standard. Their steps are the kind of old-fashioned and exaggerated luxury, but the facilities in the room should be renovated and modern.

The hotel has a postcard-like view. The average-tasting white meals and the same old breakfast options (fried eggs, scrambled eggs, eggs Benedict, omelettes, steamed eggs...) are simply the Auschwitz of eggs. But believe me, when you enjoy all this in the morning breeze of the Aegean Sea and the sunset, you will forgive everything. The hotel has a Michelin restaurant, but it does not accept children under 12 years old, so we were unable to go. I recommend the hotel's Restaurant 37, which is like Yao Ming among dwarfs and Liu Xiang among lame legs. But if I come to Athens again, I will bring my Master Kong beef noodles and stay at the Royal Palace Four Seasons again, because the moment you arrive at the hotel lobby, you will understand the tenderness and gentleness of the Aegean Sea.
Had a few hours between connecting flights from Athens airport, so booking a night at the Sofitel was the best option to avoid non-hotel room surprises and miscommunication with apartment owners after a 14 hour flight. The distance from the terminal gates was literally across the street which was what I had hoped for.
The cons:
I came in with a 25Kg suitcase which was visually apparently heavy after a long flight and the hotel booked me the farthest room on my floor. Ok, no big deal. I’m young and strong.
The first thing I wanted to do was just lie down on the bed to unwind after a long flight. I pulled up the tucked blanket to find that the bed sheets were stained near the pillows. Not something I would expect from a luxury hotel. Now I’m thinking if the sheets were even clean and what was the nature of the stains. Being extremely tired, I let it go and slept far from the stains.
Went to take a shower. Two minutes in, I noticed the water not draining and water level rising. Had to shorten my shower time and abort with soapy feet to let the water drain before flooding the shower.
Exited the room in the morning for my flight and noticed that the door was actually not locked while I was sleeping because the latch was stuck in the door.
I feel that I would have just left the hotel a note on the shower and door and not write this review but the stained bed cover is unacceptable for the price I paid.
Gorgeous and breathtaking location with view of Temple of Poseidon and amazing service and rooms !! A definite must go !! Thank you for an amazing weekend!!

One of the best hotels near the south beach, the rooms are small but designed with care. There is also a professional spa, which is worth recommending. The price is a bit expensive, but this summer, hotel prices in Europe have risen sharply.

GGuest UserThe hotel was renovated from an old building, and the elevator is so small that it can only accommodate one person and one suitcase, but the room facilities are very new and the bed is very comfortable. On the first day, I got a larger room at the corner of the street. Although I could see a little bit of the mountain view, the sound insulation was not good. The sound of cars and motorcycles on the street was endless, and it was noisy until ten o'clock in the evening. Fortunately, the ladies and gentlemen at the front desk were very warm and friendly. The next day, I changed to a room facing the inner courtyard. It immediately calmed down and I slept well, feeling refreshed. The breakfast restaurant is on the top floor. You can enjoy a cup of coffee in the open air and enjoy the mountain view of Athens. However, there is really no choice in food, they are all sweet. There are many homeless people around the hotel and the roads are not easy to walk, but the subway station is nearby and you can easily go anywhere. It is recommended to stay for one day first, then extend if you feel it is good, or change if not, there are many hotels around.

GGuest UserHighlights: beautiful views of acropolis and surrounding area from rooftop bar/restaurant space (also where breakfast served), buffet of good standard and restaurant staff very polite and a credit to the hotel.
Improvements: reception staff generally very helpful but one particular staff member was not forthcoming with information/recommendations for restaurants/ details regarding late check out - we were always referred to come back later/following day to reception to ask someone else; when same questions asked later to a different member of staff, they were more than happy to help with all enquiries.
Room: no ‘do not disturb’ sign available, housekeeping knocked on room at 9am every day, which woke us up; also housekeeping entering room after knocking on door without waiting for guests to respond; need some adjustments to respect privacy or guests; hotel corridors are very stuffy even in winter time
Overall: a very pleasant stay
GGuest UserThis hotel is a hidden gem, amazing facilities, rooms, location, beech, water, food, etc. Surpassed all my expectations.
The Spa is also incredible, ask for Sofia as a masseus (she is world class therapist) and book her for at least twice. Then make sure to chat with Frosina about anything. Elena is also very nice and will help you out.
GGuest UserThe location of the hotel is very good. When you go out, turn left and walk for 3 minutes to Syntagma Square. Turn right and walk for 3 minutes to Attica Mall.
The hotel is small but very exquisite; the room facilities are very new and the breakfast room is good (Pictures 3 and 4); there is also a bar on the first floor and the food is pretty good (Pictures 5 and 6). By the way, opposite Constitution Square is very prosperous, there is [Chunxi] Chinese restaurant, the service and taste are good.
The waiters in the lobby and restaurant are very enthusiastic and respond quickly to your needs. Overall, apart from the high price, there are few shortcomings. There are almost no family facilities. There is a swimming pool on the 10th floor, but we went there in winter, so we didn't use it.
GGuest UserPositive:
- Very clean with a/c and nice aroma around the hotel.
- Breakfast was good which is on the rooftop with lovely views of the acropolis.
- Staff were friendly.
- Location is good which includes a metro station nearby.
- The rooms and bathrooms were clean and spacious.
- Good value for money
Negatives:
- Pool on rooftop is nice but can get busy/crowded.
- They provide early breakfast between 2am - 7am for those with early starts but the options are terrible.
GGuest UserIt is very close to the city and is very convenient to various attractions in the city. There is a 24-hour restaurant downstairs, which is convenient for eating.
GGuest UserExcellent location, right in the heart of Athens. The room was exactly as shown in the photos (family room), spacious and fully equipped. Amenities in the room were of high quality (loved the scent of the toiletries!). Extra comfy bed, duvet and pillows. Highly recommended for stay! The only thing that could be improved is the breakfast. From a famous restaurant like Milos, I expected something better in quality and taste. The quantities were ok, but lacking in quality. The bread was not warm, the fruit plate poor (tangerine, pear and kiwi) and the omelet indifferent, no taste at all. We didn't dine at the restaurant, so not sure whether it had to do with breakfast or with the meals in general. Very helpful staff, though.
GGuest UserGreat rooms location and building. Very clean. It’s such a pity they don’t change some things like the chairs and care to vamp it up a bit.
The gym is sad,
although has all equipment and space needed it’s dark and gloomy. Breakfast is really mediocre, the coffee is baaad but great selection of Greek herbal teas which I appreciated.
Has the potential to really be 5* ( and probably was 20yrs ago)…
but lacks love and attention to detail.
Beds very comfortable. I would stay there again as it’s vale for money though. Staff are polite and smiling.
