The hostel sits on the perimeter of little India. It might have seen its better days.
While the bed is fluffy and clean, bathroom is always flooded with water and difficult to place a foot.
Given the price, it is till a good choice and I would not complain at all.
I had a fantastic experience at this location! The property is not only comfortable but also situated in a really nice area near Kimberly Street. While it was a little tricky to find at first, following Google Maps made it easy to reach. Once there, I was pleasantly surprised by the overall ambiance and convenience. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a cozy and well-located spot!
Good location, self check-in. A bit noisy when someone is walking or talking. The room is clean and has adequate air conditioning. The toilet hygiene needs to be improved.
The accommodation does not have a reception. You have to contact the accommodation via email only. Check-in must be done via the website. It was a bit busy before the check-in. However, the accommodation has a sample clip to watch. It's not that difficult.
The location is in the center of the city, a tourist zone. You can walk anywhere. I recommend it. (If you come with elderly people, I don't recommend it much because the stairs to the room are quite steep and high.)
The twin bed room is bigger than I thought. It's new, clean, and quiet. I slept very comfortably. The only problem is that the air conditioner is very high. The ceiling is also high, so it cools down very slowly.
The accommodation has wifi, towels, and water/snacks. Very good.
The place is great if you want a walk away from all the nice shops like, Mucca, Susan, Kazimi, and p. 66.
The only downside was, I don't know if it was the staff or someone else were walking around the hallways and closing the doors with a loud bang. It disrupted my sleep several times.
Amenities... Nothing except two bars of hand soap. I had to run downstairs to buy me a bottle of water.
Cleanliness... My friend found black dust on the corner of her bed.
Toilet/bathroom was small, a limited space for you to place your toiletries...
But the staff was friendly and helpful.
This hotel is newly opened. It is the cleanest hotel I have stayed in for more than 10 days. The surrounding scenic spots are close and there are many snack bars. The owner is Chinese and can communicate in Chinese. The price is very favorable.
This hotel is 3 star-hotel. Clean room, the room is tiny for rest 1 person. it's very cute and comfortable.
No water and refregirator in the room, but it has Water dispense (both of HOT&COLD)nearby stairs way.
In the morning, I smell cigarette smoke from another to my room.
The door can’t be open for few hours I missed meeting on 8 am in the morning because of all my stuff in the room but the room locked and even hotel staff can’t open until they call maintenance to open it at few hour after that
I liked the hotel, it was nice new and clean. Though during checking in I was confused as there were no staff on registration desk. It appeared they had sent a message with all the codes and electronic locks may be opened automatically. Later I saw other confused people, who were looking and waiting for administrator. Common bathroom is fine for the Europeans. The strange thing they have holes in the floor but the stayers were calm enough and my dream was not ruined
Very Good

AAli HashemiCertainly! Below is a **detailed, balanced, and constructive review template** for **Hangoutspacez Queensbay** (or a similar budget/co-living space in Penang). Since this isn’t a widely documented property, I’ll structure it generically so you can adapt it based on your actual experience.
---
### **Hangoutspacez Queensbay – Honest Review**
**Location: ★★★★☆** (4/5)
- **Pros:** Close to Queensbay Mall (5–10 min walk), easy access to restaurants, supermarkets, and public transport. Convenient for business travelers (Bayan Lepas tech zone) or tourists exploring Penang’s south.
- **Cons:** Not in the heart of tourist spots like George Town (requires Grab/taxi).
**Cleanliness: ★★★☆☆** (3.5/5)
- **Pros:** Daily cleaning for common areas; linens provided are fresh.
- **Cons:** Occasional maintenance issues (e.g., slow drain in showers, worn-out furniture). Budget vibe—don’t expect luxury.
**Facilities: ★★★☆☆** (3/5)
- **Pros:** Free WiFi (decent speed), communal kitchen, and lounge area. Good for solo travelers or digital nomads.
- **Cons:** No gym/pool; shared bathrooms can get crowded during peak hours.
**Staff & Service: ★★★★☆** (4/5)
- Friendly and helpful for local tips, but limited 24/7 front desk support.
**Value for Money: ★★★★☆** (4/5)
- Affordable for Penang (around RM50–100/night for dorms). Ideal for short stays, but may lack long-term comforts.
**Room for Improvement:**
1. **Better Soundproofing** – Noise from common areas can be heard in private rooms.
2. **More Power Outlets** – Limited charging points in dorms.
3. **Clearer House Rules** – E.g., quiet hours or kitchen cleanup policies.
**Verdict:**
A **no-frills, social budget stay** best suited for backpackers, solo travelers, or those attending nearby events. Manage expectations—it’s functional but not luxurious.
---
### **How to Use This Review Constructively:**
- **If You’re a Traveler:** Compare with alternatives (e.g., Tune Hotel, capsule hostels). Prioritize location vs. price.
- **If You’re the Property Owner:** Address cleanliness/maintenance, add clear signage for rules and maybe create any accessible lockers available to utilize the space in the efficient manner.
PppaeynI had a pleasant stay overall! The room was clean, cozy, and comfortable, and the location is excellent — easy access to shops and eateries nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful, making the experience smooth from check-in to check-out.
However, I did notice that a few basic amenities were missing from the room, which was a bit inconvenient. If those could be improved, the stay would’ve been perfect!
Still, a good value for money and would consider coming again
JJaycee JjHi . Newly open hotel , i think this one also room for rent monthly . Need to call staff when arriving and got public parking as well. Not a very convenience place but for the price and the cleanliness, is very high recommended. They only provide u soap, so u need to bring your amenities like toothbrush . The towel is for kids size but since I’m travelling w my mom then no issues . Very could and nice place for a short stay. Below at morning time got the nasi lemak viral for rm1, and the green thai tea also very delicious .
YYusuf UsmanovStaff were helpful and friendly, and the lobby was neat and was inviting.
Room was spacious for one guest, and the AC was in perfect condition.
The door was a bit difficult to master.
The shared shower and toilet was not clean.
The toilet bowl and shower was in the same space, and one sink was constantly leaking. Not too happy about that, though considering the price it is understandable. Located in walking distance of the ferry port and close to the Armenian street. Closest ATM is located in that street.
In overall, I think this place is worth the money, and the friends I made during my one night stay made this stay worth it.
SSSL1808A Perfect Stay at Luna Hotel – Highly Recommended!
I had the absolute pleasure of staying at Luna Hotel, and I must say, everything about my experience was simply perfect.
The hotel has set a high standard in every aspect. The Wi-Fi connection was impressively strong, making it effortless to stay connected. The air-conditioning was just right, providing a comfortable and refreshing escape from the heat outside. My room was exceptionally clean and spacious, with every detail thoughtfully arranged to ensure maximum comfort.
What truly stood out was the helpfulness of the management team, who went above and beyond to accommodate my needs. Their professionalism and genuine care for guests are commendable.
Without a doubt, I will be coming back to stay at Luna Hotel again. If you’re looking for a place that combines top-notch service, modern amenities, and a welcoming atmosphere, Luna Hotel is the perfect choice!
JJustin07I can say this is a classic hotel, although the building quite old but the room was good, toilet was good. Air cond was cold perfect. WiFi excellent even I stay on 8 floor still connect well, they gave me the room can see the mountain and sea perfect view for me. Price was affordable for everyone I can say, locate was near the bar, restaurant, pasar, sea view as well.
Didn't expect the room like this 👌
WWendy0801Strategic location, around 10-15mjns walk from sg nibong bus station. Easy check in and check out. Everything ok, nearby also can grab good easily
GGuest UserOverall is fine, just the shower head cannot hold long at the holder, and after housekeeping and we went back to the hotel at around 3pm, found out the towels and floor mat were all gone, start requested few times with reception until 11pm+ only got it.
