Great place to stay. Super modern amenities, everything goes seamless from the pickup service, check-in, and chatting with the staffs (you need Wechat). While this place is about 30 minutes away from downtown Zhangjiajie and Tianmen mountain cableway station, you can truly feel being at Zhangjiajie as you get to stay at a place that is surrounded by foggy mountains. Breakfast buffet is complimentary and pretty decent and other Chinese menu that you can order at the hotel restaurant are phenomenal. Overall, it was a great experience and I highly recommend this place to other travelers.

Getting to Orange Isle is super convenient; you can either walk across Xiangjiang Bridge or take the subway just one stop. It's also only about 3 stops to downtown areas like Wuyi Square. Environment: The surrounding area is a bit so-so, with a few construction sites, but it's very quiet. Service and hygiene were both excellent, making me feel right at home.

The Tatami River View room has a sofa that folds out into a 1.2-meter bed. The auntie thoughtfully made up the bed with sheets and even put a little yellow duck pillow for the child. The room has a bathtub, and the hotel provides bath bags, steam eye masks, laundry detergent, and more, which shows great attention to detail. The biggest surprise was the laundry room on the 5th floor. We got back to the hotel at 11 PM, and to our surprise, an auntie was still there. She told us to leave our clothes with her, and she would wash, dry, and fold them for us. The next morning, they were left at our room door, all completely free! This was such an amazing value and a pleasant surprise! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Changsha!

For the view of the mountains, this stay is so awesome. If you mainly want to see the Zhangjiajie National Park, I really recommend this hotel. For me, I underestimated the amount of time it would take to get to Wulingyuan and Zhangjiajie city. It was a little inconvenient for me because I had to call taxis if I wanted to go out to eat and it was kind of far. A lot of taxi drivers would ask me for a tip because the location was difficult to reach. Apart from the location issue, I really enjoyed my stay. The breakfast was delicious, the staff were so accommodating and kind and even drove me to Zhangjiajie city on my last day. The dogs were so cute and the view of the mountains was stunning. If you want a perfect getaway from the city and stunning views, then this is the place for you. If you want to hangout in the more lively places, it might be kind of a hassle. This hotel is perfect for those who want a peaceful and relaxing getaway.

Fantastic stay with unbeatable service! We had an amazing time at Valley Love Holiday Home. The location is absolutely perfect, making it super easy to get around and explore. Beyond the great spot, the hotel just has really good vibes- it felt incredibly welcoming and comfortable the moment we walked in. What really stood out, though, was the service. The staff went above and beyond to help us figure out our itinerary around Zhangjiajie. Their local tips and hands-on assistance made navigating the area so much smoother and took a lot of stress off our shoulders. Highly recommend staying here.

We had a wonderful stay here as a family of four and were genuinely impressed by the overall experience. The room was incredibly spacious, giving us plenty of room to relax and feel comfortable throughout our stay. What impressed us the most was the outstanding hospitality of the staff. Every team member was incredibly friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. They even arranged a complimentary airport pickup for us, which made our arrival very smooth and stress-free. The staff also helped us a lot with planning our visit to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. They assisted us with organizing our itinerary, making reservations, and answering all of our questions immediately whenever we needed support. It has been a long time since we experienced such genuine hospitality and kindness. Although our first room had a few minor issues, the staff responded immediately and helped us without hesitation by arranging a new room for us right away. During our departure, we even noticed that the original room was already being renovated and the issues were being fixed, which really showed us how much the hotel cares about maintaining high standards and listening to guest feedback. Another highlight was the beautiful rooftop terrace with a wonderful view over the city. The hotel location is also excellent, with major attractions and important sights reachable within just a few minutes on foot. The free laundry service was also a very convenient bonus during our trip. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our stay and would definitely choose this hotel again if we return to Zhangjiajie. We would also like to sincerely thank the entire team for making our stay so memorable and enjoyable. Sitting by the water in the early morning or at sunset is especially memorable, with only the sounds of birds and the occasional ripple breaking the silence. The rooms continue that same sense of comfort and simplicity. Built with timber elements, they feel warm and grounded rather than overly polished. Inside, everything is thoughtfully arranged—clean, spacious, and equipped with the essentials for a relaxing stay. Large windows often bring in views of the gardens or ponds, making it easy to feel connected to the outdoors even when you’re inside. The service was outstanding. All my needs and questions were answered promptly. What really defines the lodge is its balance: it offers comfort without losing its natural charm. It’s not trying to be flashy or luxurious in a conventional sense—instead, it succeeds by creating a peaceful environment where the surroundings take center stage. Overall, Zhangjiajie Idyllic Pondside Timber Lodge is ideal for travelers looking for a calm, nature-focused stay. Between the gardens, the serene ponds, and the cozy rooms, it provides a refreshing break from busier, more commercial accommodations.

A hotel worth revisiting: The location is excellent and quiet, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. In particular, the front desk service was incredibly professional, thoughtful, and enthusiastic, almost anticipating our every need (they thoughtfully helped us purchase tickets, proactively upgraded our room, and recommended reliable and delicious restaurants... 100 points!)

We got to the hotel pretty late at night, and the moment we got there, someone came out and helped grab our luggage inside. He then proceeded to ask us if we had a set plan, and when we said no, he helped us plan the trip right then and there. After, he helped bring our luggage to our rooms. Great service and the rooms were also super clean. Great breakfast options too. Only downside is that the room layout was a bit strange since there’s only a small part of the bathroom that isn’t visible from the rest of the room, making changing a bit awkward. Otherwise, highly recommend!

Wonderful stay! Everyone was really kind, organized both our airport pickup and the drop off back to the city for free (which we did not expect). And most importantly, spent time to design a one day itinerary for us so we could see the best parts of the park with limited time. The place is only a 5-10 minute walk to the entrance which was awesome! They also kindly upgraded us to the 360 degree view room, which was incredible. I posted the view from the terrace, really lovely to wake up to this view every morning. The one thing I would say is bring an eye mask. With all the lovely big windows it does get pretty bright early in the morning. It didn't bother us since we had to wake up early to visit the park. Overall I'd say it was perfect and pretty much everything we could've wanted
