GGuest UserThe location of the B&B is good, very close to the Big Buddha. The bedding is very good and the sleep is very comfortable. We had dinner here, which was cooked by the owner himself. They were all local dishes, which tasted quite good, with fresh ingredients and considerate service. I will definitely come again next time.

I have stayed in many guesthouses across China, but this one stands out in a very special way. From the very first moment, the communication via WeChat was friendly, quick, and reliable – even though my Chinese is limited and the staff’s English is not extensive. Still, everything worked beautifully. Warm, patient, uncomplicated. It already gives you the feeling that you are in good hands.
I stayed for two days, and throughout my entire time there, everything was perfectly organized. I was picked up right on time upon arrival – an invaluable service in a mountain area that can be a little confusing for newcomers. The guesthouse itself is extremely comfortable: warm, well-designed rooms with excellent facilities, a huge screen, electric curtains, cozy bedding, and all the small details that make travel easier. I immediately felt welcomed and well taken care of.
During my stay, the staff assisted me with everything I needed, always with kindness and without any complications. When it was time to leave, they also arranged transport back to my bus at exactly the time I requested. Truly flawless service.
But the most extraordinary highlight was something I did not expect at all: the free guided tour that the homestay organizes for all their guests. They drove us to the starting point, and then we spent the day walking through the misty mountain paths, visiting nine of the most important temples on Jiuhuashan. It was magical – quiet, mysterious, deeply atmospheric. Our guide took wonderful care of everyone, explained so much about the temples, the mountain, the history, and the spirit of Dizang Bodhisattva, and created a sense of depth that went far beyond sightseeing.
This was not a tourist activity.
It was a spiritual and cultural experience – something you can only receive from people who truly love their mountain and want to share it with others. In the fog, among ancient stones, incense smoke, and the sound of footsteps on wet leaves, one begins to understand why Jiuhuashan has been a sacred place for centuries.
My conclusion:
This homestay offers not only comfort, warmth, and excellent service, but also a genuine connection to the spiritual heart of Jiuhuashan. I can recommend Tanxiangyuan Homestay without any hesitation. For pilgrims, travelers, lovers of nature, or anyone seeking a meaningful experience, this place is simply perfect. I am grateful for every moment I spent there.

The biggest advantage is that it is very close to the Palace of the Flesh (enter from the west gate, it is about 600 meters away. This is a shortcut for those who don’t want to climb the mountain to the Palace of the Flesh. ) However, this B&B is too far away from the center of Jiuhua Mountain Scenic Area, too remote, and life is really inconvenient. The service is also really average. From the time I checked in to the time I left, I didn't speak to the landlord for more than ten words, so I can't say that I was warm or considerate. I can only say that I didn't have any bad feelings. Compared to the price, this experience felt a bit disappointing.

GGuest UserThe guesthouse has a great location, right on Jiuhua Street, next to the Huxingshan bus stop for the scenic area to Tiantai. It's about a 7-8 minute walk to the Jiuhua Mountain main gate (Yingxian Bridge ticket gate), Zhiyuan Temple, and the cable car station for Baishui Palace. It's a 12-minute walk to the core temple, Huacheng Temple. It's very close to everything.
The owner is very welcoming and helped with luggage at the scenic area gate.
The facilities and cleanliness are average. Those with high standards might find it unacceptable. Consider it a typical guesthouse. Its strength lies in its value for money.

The boss can pick you up for free when you get off at Huangzhuang or Dayuan Cultural Park, and it will take less than ten minutes if you are fast. There are streams and rivers around the homestay, and the overall scenic environment is very good. Second, because it is self-operated, there is not much commercial atmosphere, but you can feel the warm hospitality of the residents at the foot of Jiuhua Mountain, without too much restraint. The proprietress will also chat with you, and you can feel the concern that is not very polite, and the local residents are very enthusiastic in providing services. The most important thing is that the basic homestay has everything. In fact, when you finish visiting the scenic spots, a comfortable bed and a hot bath are enough. Finally, a digression, there are food in the homestay, including stir-fried dishes, rice, and noodles, which can be eaten in the store. I ordered green pepper and shredded pork noodles at the time, but climbing the mountain was too energy-consuming and too sleepy to have an appetite, so I ate a little and went to sleep. After the proprietress came to collect the tableware and understood the situation, she took the initiative to boil egg soup for you to eat, which was very humane. The room is clean and well-equipped.
The boss is very enthusiastic and has three tourist maps in his hand, which are very detailed. With these three maps in hand, you can travel all over Jiuhua Mountain! While eating on the first floor, I saw him actively and enthusiastically introducing the best routes to every hotel guest. We were all old and frail and were afraid of going to Tiantai Temple. He enthusiastically encouraged us and even took the initiative to lend us crutches. Thanks to the help of crutches, we all successfully climbed to the top of Tiantai Temple.
I highly recommend his home and will stay here next time I go to Jiuhuashan!

GGuest UserThe owner of the house is warm and thoughtful and free to pick up and drop off. When you come, guide you how to arrange the itinerary reasonably. You can drive to the Dayuan Cultural Park to pick me up. Send me to the Huatai cableway on the third morning. Jiuhua Mountain Bus is convenient to take, do not have to queue up at the visitor center, you can get on the bus at the door of the house.

The room was as shown in the picture. Objectively speaking, it was in line with its price. After all, it was not expensive. It was clean and tidy. The only problem was that the shower door in the bathroom was not closed tightly and the water leaked outside. The water temperature was sometimes hot and sometimes cold.
