Room was great. I thought I read that there was access to a beach. Didn't know towels weren't included. But overall it was great. We were surprised with how busy the street was that the room was so quiet. I would stay there again
Cheap is the main plus.
There is a swimming pool - the second plus.
The owner is quite loyal and helps to decide on the location (ferry schedule, prices for tricycles and tuktuks, so as not to overpay)
Cons:
- The air conditioner makes a terrible noise when working, it is impossible to sleep with such noise, but the second half of the night becomes stuffy
- proximity to the road. Constant noise from motorcyclists, especially those who like to drive recklessly
- no kitchen to cook for yourself
- to Puerto Galera 40 pesos by motorbike or 25 minutes walk along the side of the road. Sabang is a little closer.
Considering that there is nothing to do in Mindoro except for excellent diving, it is worth considering hotels near White Beach, or in Sabang, if you do not want to drag a carcass or spend money on travel. From the hotel to White Beach you can agree on a ride for 80 pesos ...
the food served were delicious, the place is nice . its just that theres no slippers available inside the room but the staff shes kind enough to lend hers. Theres a lot of mosquitos inside the room i could not sleep because i worry about getting dengue. the headboard is dusty. good thing their staff were really nice i hope theyll improve more esp the aspect of mosquitos getting inside the room

As a solo traveler, and first time visiting the Puerto Princesa this hostel never fails me. The room was perfect for those who loved to travel solo and the place was well maintained clean and comfortable to stay. The owner of the hostel is approachable and friendly. I would recommend it for everyone who is looking a nice place and it is also accessible to any destination that you want to go since it’s along the highway. Thank you Balai Vivencio for accommodating me and will surely comeback! ☺️
I don't know who to blame, but the information on this app is very misleading. It was mentioned that our room would have an air conditioner, but it doesn't. When we arrived, we realized that the room only has a fan. The service desk told us that it was Trip.com's fault, but I'm not sure.
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It's conveniently located on a lively central street with plenty of cafes and shops. Nearby is a market and a dock for boat trips on wonderful excursions. Everything you need is there. The staff is very pleasant, friendly, and welcoming.
Special thanks to manager Sharmane for her incredible help and support. Thank you!
Very friendly management and amazing location. Close to the beach, and close to the downtown area of El Nido.
Only 10 min walk to the bus station so instead of getting picked up I just walked to the bus stop
I booked this hotel before. And that time I got another room, it was better.
Now the room was not very clean in the bathroom. The window in the bathroom couldn't be closed, so there were many insects inside.
If you're gonna stay here, you should know that they don't provide soap and shampoo. Toilet paper only.
Internet often disconnected.
Without these problems it could be a nice place. The room is furnished well enough

BBhrandonThe room looks very old, the mattresses are foam, the plugs generate little confidence, the truth is that for the little you pay you could say that it is normal, don't expect much.
The bathroom is another world, the toilet bowl does not have a base to sit on, so it is very unhygienic when using it, either that or urinate and do your business without touching the bowl.
The shower does not have much pressure, so if you are going to take a shower it is better to use the faucet under the shower and fill a bucket and bathe with the bucket of water.
The door to the women's bathroom is broken from below, so it can cause a bit of insecurity, although I honestly don't think people will care much.
MmischiefSai AestravThe Casa's location is just up ahead from the Coron main road which you can take tricycle to go anywhere in the Coron Town Proper, it is also near the St. Agustin Church, and near to BPI, Andoks, Pacifico, Maria L's Cake House and Café.
The Casa is basically and technically near to popular places, you only need to walk down to the Coron main road and grab a tricycle and jist tell the driver the place you want to go.
The room I was in were good to sleep in, the aircondition works, I basically turned off the AC when the room cool enough then open the electric fan.
You can use their kitchen which I discovered late but it's fine since I always out touring, I just wish that the care taker orient me ahead on what can I access or use.
I spoke to the owner ober the phone, he is not here in the Casa but still helped me to be picked up from and to the airport and the Casa.
There are no staff to fully accomodate you since this is not a hotel but more like a house where you rent room to stay in to sleep and bathe, but you can ask people who were staying here probably the care taker of the house to ask for assistance.
The place were not yet known to all because during my stay here and I had a booked tour the van couldn't find the Casa, probably it has no visible sign that the driver or the guide could see. There's a sign outside the gate but it needed more visibility and a repaint so that everyone know what is this place and its location.
The place cannot be seen in Google Maps since it was not yet updated to recent view so even if you virtually travel the streets, the area where this place is, is inaccessible on the map.
So far a good place to stay in to relax after a long day of tour activities and probably one of the cheapest.
VVictoria&JessiMy overall experience is good! I'm the type of person who prefers active travelling, so the hotel is needed literally just for sleep, shower and storing stuff.
My requirements for the hotel were good proximity to the city center and nice room with hot shower. Well, the location is truly good, it's a bit on the hill so to get to the city center you just need to come down. In the same building there is a great cafe DAYO who offer 10% discount per day for the Oceana Bay hotel's guests.
During our trip to Philippines, Coron was the last destination and the 4th hotel we stayed at, and that was the only one with some room facilities issues. When we checked-in it turned out there is no water in the shower, the staff truly tried to be helpful, the receptionist girl offered us to stay in another upgraded room before the problem will be solved. The thing is when one day later we had to return to the room the problem with the water wasn't solved, we had to contact staff all the time which for sure was absolutely inconvenient, especially when water could be cut off during taking shower. At that point nobody cared already, there were no offers to change the room or to offer us a discount. The siphon from the sink was leaking, so every time you wash your hands, the bathroom floor is immediately in water.
The AC is truly loud, but this is absolutely normal for Philippines, as well as the absence of hair dryer. Nice thing that the hotel unlimitedly provides drinking water in the hall. The hotel also offers tours, bike rent, transfer to the airport, but I'd suggest to check it out in the city first, we've found more convenient and better price offers there.
GGuest UserHealth is very good, only then know that there is a special female six-person dormitory, the hotel front desk is free to change. The same people live in Europe and the United States, they are very afraid of heat, the air conditioner is very low, such as 17 degrees. You go to increase them and they will lower. If you want to increase them, you will find that the remote control is missing...waiting to be frozen. The cover on the Philippines side is very thin layer of sheets, so I sleep with my own clutch jacket at night.
GGuest UserSmall rooms, next to a party street. The size, service and even the location are not worth the money, to be honest. But at that moment there were no options, no choice. All the ports were closed, and the hotels were sold out and there was nowhere to go. We took it for one night.
YYizhuliangrenIt is close to the sea, and you can see the sea when you go out. The house is clean and hygienic, but there is no quilt. The shower water pressure is not great. Breakfast is provided. Traveling to other places, the front desk can call a car and book a boat ticket
GGuest UserIf you are just looking for a place to spend the night and leave your bags, this is a great choice! Booked a night for only Php 511 (around US$10). Of course, for that very low price there is no free breakfast, no complimentary toiletries (but it is available at the counter and is for sale), the hostel has its own restaurant and bar, there is a cozy place to hangout outside and there are plenty of hammocks. Location wise it is great because it is just in front of the Robinson's mall where you can practically get anything (you can easily choose to eat there if you don't want to eat at the hostel's resto). If you don't mind having people talking after 10pm in your room or if you can stand the noise of other people preparing very early in the morning, and if you don't have any trust issues with regards to leaving your baggage. Then this is a great choice!
EEKATERINASkyWe spent one night, everything was great. Breakfasts were not bad, it's a sin to complain for such a price. We warned in advance about late check-in, check-in went smoothly. We recommend!
BBudida Matrix IncThe location is good. Remember to prepay everything because they take cash for everything
Furthermore they have tours from their hotel and scuba also but they dont give discount.
Free breakfast included is good.
Lots of mosquitos but its a coron problem. However its not a very big issue because they provide mosquito repellant tubelights
AaldenZhaoCost-effective, cheap during the May Day holiday. Internal hygiene is good, towels and other supplies are dehaired, toothpaste, toothbrush and shampoo are charged, it is best to bring your own. Very close to the beach, 3 minutes walk, there are many diving clubs next to it. Surrounding dining is also OK, Korean restaurants are not bad.
