The boss's service is really good. On the first day, our flight was delayed and we arrived very late. The boss came downstairs to help with our luggage, sent us directly to the room, and ran up and down to help us check in. The store not only has a good environment and a new building, it is located in the courtyard of a villa, with convenient parking, spacious rooms, complete facilities, well-organized layout, and cleanliness. In addition to picking up and dropping off the airport on time, he also enthusiastically picks up and drop off guests when they request to go to a nearby town to eat or play. Breakfast is also provided in the morning. All the food is made by them, which is hygienic, reliable and safe to eat. There are some small automated facilities in the room, as well as a drinking water filter. The owner said that this will prevent long-term guests from becoming acclimated to the water. Why do I think this place is more worthwhile than Shapotou? 🔹 No need to squeeze in crowds: The lines in the desert area of ​​Shapotou were incredibly long, but here, there were fewer people and you could do whatever you wanted without waiting! 🔹 Super comfortable accommodations: I thought desert camping would be tough, but we stayed in an air-conditioned cabin with clean bedding and plenty of hot water. It felt completely different from the desert! 🔹 The owner was super nice: From pick-up arrangements to travel suggestions, he was very attentive to every detail. He even took us to see the stars and watch fireworks at night. 🔹 Better value: For the same desert activities, this place offered a better deal and a much better experience! My Real Experience Day 1: Arrival + Free Sand Play + Bonfire Party After arriving at the camp in the afternoon, the kids immediately rushed to the sand dunes to play. My husband and I lay on lounge chairs waiting for the sunset, and every snap was a masterpiece! In the evening, there was a bonfire party, with everyone singing and dancing around the fire. The owner even set off fireworks. The fireworks in the desert were incredibly romantic! Day 2: Had a blast with the desert activities! The owner gave us a free ride to the activity area. We tried camel riding, sandboarding, and a desert buggy. It was much more exciting than Shapotou! There were fewer people and no lines, and the kids couldn't get enough sandboarding after two attempts. What surprised me most ✅ Good food: I was worried I wouldn't have good food in the desert, but dinner was delicious: big plate chicken, Zhongwei snacks, shredded cabbage, shredded potatoes, and cucumber cold noodles! Breakfast also included hot porridge and eggs. ✅ Beautiful photos: The desert, the starry sky, and the fireworks—any photo looks like a movie scene. The owner even helped me find the best photo spots. ✅ Good sleep: The air-conditioned cabins are well-insulated, the bedding is clean, and I slept soundly. Tips ✔️ If you're visiting Shapotou, I recommend only doing the Yellow River activities (sheepskin rafting, ziplining, etc.) and saving the desert activities for this location for a much better experience! ✔️ Bring a jacket; the desert can get a bit chilly at night. ✔️ Book in advance; rooms are very popular during peak season. Summary: If you're looking for a less crowded, fun, and comfortable desert experience, skip the Shapotou desert area and head straight here!
