Go to Omalu to see the penguins, a motel found on Trip.com , just on the roadside, there is a parking lot, very convenient, the room is fully equipped, clean and tidy, ten minutes drive from the penguin landing and returning to the center, good, the price is also right.
After a strenuous ****** Valley Trail walk on Mt. Cook, a good choice for a break before heading to Queenstown on the next day. The room layout is good and the kitchen facilities are adequate. No handheld shower in the bathroom is the only drawback.
I don't know why other people have low scores, the environment and sanitation are OK, the cabin is in the jungle, there is no light pollution at night, the stars are very beautiful, and the price is much higher than the kiwicamp self-service camp we live in every day. Usually powered site is NZD40-80, the hotel backpacker also needs NZD20-40 per person, this price is very good. The wine at the gas station and the store is very low price, and the South Island is not lower than 3.1 per liter.
The hotel is on the side of the road, the hotel's glass door is very soundproof and not noisy at all. There are kitchenware, tableware, stove, microwave oven, toaster, refrigerator, very suitable for cooking by yourself.
Stayed for 2 nights. Was at Unit K. There were a total of 3 rooms in this unit, located upstairs. Lower floor was shared kitchen and toilet. Shower is upstairs. Only another occupant for the 2 nights. Otherwise shower and toilet might be an issue, when needed.
Kitchen was cleaned daily. 15 mins walk to town centre.
Nice location but the room were old also bathroom really old and some part broken as well specially shower and hand door were broken we stay one night in there. The food is really testy and reasonable price, reception work in order food and room check in as well.
A very retro and stylish hotel. It is indeed very old, and the facilities are also very old. The traces of time can be seen everywhere, and the bathroom is also very small. But its biggest advantage is that it is in the city center, very close to the most popular and beautiful station, the Octagonal Square, and other places. There is a bar and restaurant downstairs, providing breakfast and dinner. In addition, the price is also very cost-effective. It depends on your opinion. It depends on each person's choice.
Very close to the center, convenient transportation, great room facilities, public restaurant on the first floor, large, complete tableware, good boss, highly recommended
I originally booked a hotel at random, but unexpectedly, it was surprisingly good! I wanted to book a hotel in Wanaka, but they were all fully booked, so I settled on the Cardrona Hotel between Wanaka and Queenstown! After arriving, I found it on the side of the highway, which was quite disappointing, but! I was shocked when I entered the hotel! There are restaurants and bars in the hotel, all with very retro decoration. Later I learned that the hotel has a history of more than 150 years! The garden behind the hotel is particularly beautiful! Recommended!
Very good motel with complete facilities, large rooms, very clean, and one parking space per room. It’s an hour and a half drive from Queenstown. You will pass a lot of farms and you can buy fresh fruits.

WWeradechConvenient Location, but Shared Kitchen Needs Improvement
The room was quite small, but comfortable and had everything we needed for a short stay. However, the shared kitchen on the 1st floor was small and often messy. Many guests prepared their meals there and brought them upstairs to eat at 4th floor share space, but unfortunately left the kitchen in poor condition. It was consistently untidy throughout our stay.
The hotel is in a great location—right in the CBD and within walking distance to many attractions, shops, and restaurants. There’s no free parking on-site, but there’s a paid public parking lot just across the street. The rate is NZD 3.5 per hour, with free parking available from 6 PM to 8 AM.
Ssuper酷酷鴨Stayed here for two days in a row. The location is very good. I chose it because the introduction said there is free parking. Currently, this youth hostel has 3-4 parking spaces in front of the door, first come first served. Otherwise, you need to go to Hamilton Road to find one (which is often full). You need to bring your own shower gel and shampoo, which is not very convenient. Other than that, I can give it a very high score. The youth hostel has cooperation discount codes with some attractions, you can ask the front desk to get them. If you are traveling alone, I still recommend them.
AAnonymous UserThe kettle was really unhygienic. And I asked to change for a new one. The bathtub was pretty old as well. But the hotel service was quite good, I would say could be better, depends on which staff, they have a lot of staff. Location 10mins driving from city.

ZZafarul HaqueThe room was cleaned in a rush, so wasn't cleaned properly. We got the room ready way after 2pm. Plates and glasses were dirty from last use! The fridge is big enough but makes a loud humming sound all night long. Apart from that, the place is a wonderful one, the rooms were big enough and well planned. Plenty of facilities for the guests to use like common toilet and shower, shared kitchen etc. will visit again for sure
LLiaozhongdifanniA very satisfying stay experience! The host was very nice and entertained us warmly. He talked about local customs and travel recommendations, and even took us to visit his fruit and vegetable garden, just like we were guests at a friend's house♥️ The house was clean and tidy, with complete supplies and a well-kept small garden, where we could sit Looking at the beautiful scenery on the other side from the balcony, it is comfortable and comfortable💐 Five-star recommendation🌟

GGuest UserKitchen supplies could be improved, because there was no dishwasher and no range hood installed for ventilation, plus there was a scary sign ordering travelers not to cook fragrant food. Travelers arrive from all over the world with different food habits, so not sure what's considered unacceptable to cook. The electric cooking stove was old and kind of broken. The windows have no screens so it was difficult to leave them open without insects crawling in and we got multiple mosquito bites. Room on the small side for families as there was no separation. We appreciated the free washing machine and dryer, and detergent cost NZ$2.

GGuest UserA very nice, clean furnished house with kitchen diner, leading to a small garden. There is also a down stairs loo. Upstairs has two bedrooms with double beds & a very nice bathroom with loo & shower. The place is very peaceful for a good night's sleep, provided you keep the windows shut. Both upstairs & downstairs has air conditioning. A very nice cafe is situated across the road & it's a five minute drive to Wanaka. The staff were very nice & friendly. We will definitely stay there again.
