The hotel is far away from the city center but public transportations are nearby so pretty convenient. I traveled solo and was put in a room with 2 twin beds pushed together so I’d asked to change me to a one queen but the front desk guy said they’re all booked, although it seemed pretty empty on a Monday. The room I stayed in didn’t have a bathtub but the design was really nice with a great view. The lights were very complicated to use because they had too many things going on so sometimes the lights in the room turn on out of no where in the middle of the night extra bright. The room had cool technologies though like automatic blinds that blackout the room, vanity lights, and rainfall showers. You pretty much don’t know what kind of designs the room you get will have so it might not be for everyone who must have certain things-might be better to go with a chain brand. The room had weird things like 3 landline phones-one by the bed, one on the tv wall, and one near the toilet in case you need to order room service while pooping I guess. The hotel amenities like the pool were closed and chairs were covered and certain areas seemed rundown for a 5-star hotel. Overall, ok experience.
The hotel is quite close to the city center, parking is free, and it is also close to the airport. The breakfast is good, the service is OK, there is a special person to greet you as soon as you enter, and there is a bottle of juice on each table. I heard that the spa in this hotel is good, but I don't have time to experience it

I booked this hotel because of its location but after I arrived I think the location is even better than I expected. It is center to everything very convenient. Staffs are very polite and helpful
We were traveling through Madrid over our anniversary and had a lovely stay at the Barceló! The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Although the breakfast felt a little overpriced, it had a good selection of options (even some gluten free items!). We didn’t get a chance to get in the pool, but my husband loved the sauna. Overall the hotel is located in a very convenient area and was easily walkable to the metro along with many other shops and restaurants. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful and we had a wonderful stay. Would stay again!

A design hotel that suits your taste. Excellent location, rich breakfast. Opposite the hotel stands a statue of Cervantes and his family. Walking distance to the Spanish Royal Palace, Puerta del Sol, Gran Vía and Temple of Debod. The bathroom design is novel. There is a separate bathtub and shower in the bathroom. It is very clever and feels like a swimming pool. After the bath, you can take a shower. It is clean and hygienic. The bathroom floor is slightly raised by the glass door. When showering, water will never seep out through the door gap, avoiding slipping on the floor outside the bathroom. The bedroom is spacious with a double bed and a coffee table. The bedroom door separates the bedroom from the bathroom and the tea room, which is relatively independent.

The room hardware is OK, but the front desk is a bit troublesome. The hotel is located in a busy city and is quite noisy. I asked for a high floor for quietness, but they gave me a room on the third floor, saying that the third floor in Spain is equivalent to the fourth floor, and there are no other rooms now. I went upstairs and opened the door and went back to the front desk to ask for a room change. It was right next to the main street with heavy traffic, and there was no light at all facing north. Seeing my firm attitude, the front desk took out another room on the eighth floor facing east. There was a ready-made vacant room, I don’t know who they wanted to bully.
The hotel breakfast was OK, quite satisfactory.
Close to station and metro… welcoming, clean, relaxing and spacious room… simple while nice breakfast… except there was a mosquito in the bathroom which could be acceptable being next to a site opposite…. Highly recommended if the rate could be more attractive… Will check in again next round
The hotel is located in a quiet high end neighborhood. Clise to a few foreign embassies. It is much less crowded than the downtown area. it is not very close to Plaza del Sol but we still walked there enjoying all the high end stores and petty buildings along the way. Our room was clean. Buffet breakfast pwas decent with sufficient number of chioces, better than eating outside for the price.
The hotel is amazing! The location is excellent and the transportation is convenient. The facilities are complete and the service is in place. It feels like the best hotel in this life to the current comprehensive. highly recommended!

FFeitiannvwudingdangmaoThe hotel is in a great location, close to the Puerta del Mar Museum and Retiro Park, and within walking distance to Puerta del Sol.
The room is large, well-equipped, the breakfast is rich, and the service attitude is also very good.
TTraveler 123recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Palacio de los Duques in Madrid, and I must say that it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment I entered the magnificent palace-like building, I was captivated by the grandeur and elegance that surrounded me.
The hotel's location in the heart of Madrid's historic center is perfect for exploring the city's attractions. Many iconic landmarks, such as the Royal Palace and Plaza Mayor, are within walking distance, making it convenient for sightseeing enthusiasts like me.

The room I stayed in was beautifully appointed and exuded a sense of luxury. The elegant decor, comfortable furnishings, and modern amenities created a perfect sanctuary after a day of exploring the city. The attention to detail was impeccable, and I appreciated the little touches that enhanced my stay, such as the plush bathrobes and high-quality toiletries.
One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's stunning rooftop terrace. Offering panoramic views of Madrid's skyline, it provided a breathtaking backdrop for enjoying a drink or simply unwinding while taking in the city's beauty. The on-site restaurant also surpassed my expectations with its delectable cuisine, showcasing a fusion of traditional and contemporary flavors.
Hotel Palacio de los Duques Madrid seamlessly blends historical charm with modern luxury. The preservation of the building's architectural heritage, combined with the impeccable service and attention to detail, creates an unforgettable experience.

GGuest UserLovely hotel, amazingly centrally situated, and so we were able to walk to all the things we needed to see and do. Breakfast excellent with a good choice of hot and cold food. Staff generally very kind and polite. Our one complaint was that the TV in the bedroom we had, kept losing or freezing the picture on the BBC world news channel, and a small icon kept appearing from LG, which after waiting a while restored the screen. We complained about this on the first morning we were there, and the reception noted it and siad an engineer would go and attend to it. This was not done and for the whole stay sadly we were frustrated by the TV which was really of no use to us what so ever. I have read other similar stories on Tripadvisor about the same complaint, and so clearly the hotel is aware of the problem but seemingly chooses not to do anything about it. This is a shame, beacuse something so easy, and expected would make a huge difference to one's enjoyment of the room. Other than that, really we had no complaints, and would certainly stay again.
GGuest UserStaff: They greeted us with warm smiles and a cool drink, which was perfect for weary travellers. And their manners were surpassed only by their charm.
Hotel: beautiful, innovative and classy.
Room: spotless, comfortable and spacious. The chocolate truffles were an excellent addition.

VValadezAlejandraMy stay at the Intercontinental Madrid was an absolute delight from start to finish. The hotel's location is truly unbeatable, placing me right in the heart of the vibrant city, allowing easy access to all the must-see attractions. The service was impeccable - the staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction throughout my stay. The highlight for me was the Club Lounge experience; the exquisite service and attention to detail truly made me feel like a valued guest. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable stay in Madrid.

GGuest UserStaff are friendly and helpful. We had problems in charging our car. We asked for help and they came in a minute to help. Carpark is just in the basement and so we could unload luggages and took the lifts from basement up to our room floor directly. Very convenient.
Room : spacious
Breakfast : not worth, only few varieties.
Cleanliness : looks clean in general. But I think the hotel should pay more attention to the 'little things'. One spoon in the room and a plate in the breakfast restaurant had dirt.
CCaptain1998The hotel is in a very good location. You can walk to most of the commercial areas and famous attractions. The service started from the moment you arrived at the hotel. The breakfast was very rich. The sandwiches and pasta for supper were very delicious. You can also experience the drinks in the bar for free when you stay. I will choose this Hyatt again when I come to Madrid next time
This hotel is very good. I came to the mayor of the city and the food was very good. At the same time, I stayed in the hotel, and the service was very good. I said that this hotel is very good. The sandwiches and pasta for the night are very delicious. I also tried the bebidas at the bar. This hotel is very popular in Madrid, and it is very good.
