Overall a good value for money hotel.
Despite being strategically located in the Ipoh city centre, it's ingress and egress to the reception is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS for all visitors of any age and physical condition and also EQUALLY DANGEROUS for unfamiliar drivers to access due to the extremely narrow drop off area which shares the main road IMMEDIATELY AFTER A BLIND CORNER OF FAST AND TYPICAL IPOH TRAFFIC CONDITIONS.
Even though complimentary parking for hotel guests are limited on site and that the hotel has clearly notify its guests about this after booking (and payment) is confirmed, they do provide offsite complimentary secured parking and an obligatory shuttle service to overcome such inconvenience.
TV channels were excellent and ample choices to choose from.
Views from any rooms are superb.
No complimentary mineral water or drinking water provided in the respective rooms. They tried to circumvent this by providing a multi temperature cheap water dispenser in the common area of every floor... But for the price of the room charged, it's a given in all hotel rooms domestically and internationally to provide complimentary mineral water or RO water for their guests.
Sadly this hotel doesn't provide extra towels when requested nor 24 hour room service.
Will not stay at this hotel again in future.
Convenient basement parking with CCTV and security guard. Free breakfast provided. Lobby includes a vending machine and normal water dispenser. Clean and well-maintained property. Good location within walking distance to many eateries. Staff are quick and friendly. Overall, good value for the price.
I stayed at this hotel which located in the city centre, which was very convenient for getting around. The room size was comfortable, perfect for 1-2 persons, ensuring a cosy and restful stay. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, with the highlight being the cucur bawang, which was exceptionally tasty. Definitely a great place to consider for a pleasant stay!
It was a great stay! The room is clean and cozy, near to many good food, there’s free parking and everything was amazing! It’s my second time staying here and will definitely return again next time I visit Ipoh. Super value for money 👍👍
I recently visited *The Cove Ipoh*, and I have to say — it’s one of the most *relaxing, stylish, and chill spots* in town. The ambience is top-notch, with modern decor and a cozy vibe that makes it perfect for hangouts, dates, or even quiet solo time.
*Atmosphere:*
Beautiful lighting, calm music, and a layout that gives you space to breathe. Whether indoors or at the outdoor seating, it feels relaxing and ”Instagram-worthy”.
We stayed at Hijau Camp & Cabin and had such a memorable retreat. Our villa was very spacious, clean, and comfortable, complete with a private pool, perfect for families who want both comfort and closeness to nature.
The fullboard meals were delicious and served in eco-friendly tiffins. Upon arrival, we received a quick briefing and were informed that the main gate closes at 8pm, which was very useful to know.
Nearby activities are plentiful, from hiking and waterfall excursions to ATV rides and water rafting or you can simply relax by the serene river just steps away. Our jungle trek with Mr. Fendi was educational and fun, and we were so thankful to Mr. Faiz for capturing lovely family photos before we left.
📌 Things to note:
• The road leading up to the accommodation is quick and steep, which might not be suitable for wheelchairs or lowered cars.
• The gate closes at 8pm, so plan your outings accordingly.
• Wi-Fi and phone signal may be limited in certain areas (great for a digital detox, but plan ahead if you need connectivity)
Overall, an unforgettable stay with spacious rooms, excellent hospitality, and plenty of nature activities. In sha Allah, we’ll definitely be back! 🌿
Kingston Hotel 15 @ Tower Regency could be a solid choice for budget-conscious travelers or short stays who prioritize location and space over luxury. The staff is generally helpful, rooms are roomy, and pricing can be quite attractive during promotional deals.
However, if you value well-maintained facilities, modern interiors, smoother logistics (like reception and parking), or a diverse breakfast spread, you might encounter some disappointing elements here.
Overall, the experience was okay, but the cleanliness could definitely be improved — the room felt a bit dusty and not very well maintained. Most of the furniture and facilities look quite old and really need some renovation. That said, the staff were very friendly and helpful, which made the stay more pleasant. Hope to see some improvements in the future!

AAhmad Faheemi Bin Mustafaroom clealiness was ok..but in term of soundproofing can be upgraded to be better. price ok. location a little bit outskirt of Ipoh town but not to far just 10 minutes away. Plus point good shower. have wifi.

GGuest UserCleanliness: Lobby: Dull and unkempt. Lobby toilet: Disgraceful. Dingy and wet floors. Surau: Pathetic. Smelly telekung and sejadah. Baroness: Fair. Swimming Pool: Dirty. Not been cleaned. Shower taps missing and not working.
Location: Excellent. Mins walk to Taman Tasik Taiping. 10-15mins walk to Bkt Larut trailhead. Less than 10mins drive to eateries.
Service: Front Desk: Lack of interpersonal skills. No greetings. No warmth to acknowledge or courtesy to offer guests with a smile, no gestures to offer guests to have a seat while they’re attending to another guests or preparing their check ins/check outs.
House Maintenance: ABSOLUTELY RUDE. He was called to unplugged the faulty bathtub plug.
Housekeeping nor hotel did not inform me that the bathtub can’t be used as a tub. *******!
Bell Boys: Useless. Didn’t offer any service at all.
Baroness Coffee House: Food spread is good but tasteless. They served poor low quality food. Frozen popiah, croissants, cucur badak and potato wedges. Stone cold pandan Cake straight from the fridge. Nasi Lemak Pandan didn’t smell pandan at all and used green food coloring instead. A huge pile of foods especially the Nasi Lemak was left uneaten due to the lack of quality. Food wastage is observed.
They really need to change the chef. Cik Liana 27.6.2025 portrayed professionally while listening to our constructive comments.
She wore gloves while serving, refilling and cleaning the tables. The other servers did not.
Amenities: Fair.
Overall the Grand Baron Hotel needs more uplifting. The entrance and facade is sad, dull and empty. Some greens and lightings would improve the look. The lobby is unwelcoming. I was told the GM Ms Yong hardly comes and obviously couldn’t care less about the well being of the hotel let alone the staffs.
SStenny LIMThis place is quite suitable for a couple's trip. It's an easy walk to town to find food, and the steak at the restaurant was pretty good too.
SSupreeya WongReasonable price, I like the bed is soft and comfortable. Just no parking need to find and park around in front of hotel only. This hotel is seem like building and then renovating to hotel not a proper hotel and it not so much far from the town, easy to find food to eat. Have the ironing available in room but careful when you iron, if not it will spoil like my dress. Lucky I always prepare extra one dress when I travel for work so I still have the dress to wear.
GGuest UserI loved this hotel. Such a comfortable room and bed. Friendly management. The decor is nice. Hot water for making tea. Elevator to the 2nd or 3rd floor. I was able to park my scooter outside the front. Near restaurants - Pekan Lama Cafe was nice for local Laksa and Miker pizza was great too. If I return to Ipoh I would stay here.
GGuest UserCannot remember how many times we have repeat this hotel when going to Lumut. Location is strategic..breakfast got so many choices and delicious..view from our room also great..staff are also polite ang friendly..surely will repeat if we manage to come here again.

SSheremetovWe stayed at this hotel in February 2020, everything was fine, we liked everything. After 5 years we decided to repeat. It turned out in vain. We arrived in February 2025, we got room 102 on the 1st floor, last time we lived on the 2nd floor. Everything was significantly outdated, the bed linen seemed clean, but was very washed out after prolonged use, the fasteners on the glass partition in the shower had rotted, the entrance door and the door to the toilet close and open poorly. At night we woke up in an anthill. Hordes of ants were walking from the wall to the bed. Pros: good location, the sea is across the road, a good pool, water, tea, coffee were brought to the room every day, cleaning was also every day, the water was hot, the Internet was sometimes available.
