The hotel is small and cozy. Good breakfasts. It is convenient to stay overnight while traveling around the region. It's a bit difficult to find a parking space for a car. The hotel does not have an elevator.
Really clean room, good service at the front desk but the aircon is like a cement mixer unfortunately :-( if they sort that out then it’s a perfect stay! Also parking is non existent you need to put your car in a council car park and hope it doesn’t get broken into! Btw don’t stay in a room opposite the travel lodge as you will be away all night! Other than that no issues.
The hotel is ok if you book it for 3 people or less. I booked it for my family of 4 and the description on the booking site was different from what I had. Description on Trip.com clearly mentioned that I will have 1 double bed and 2 single beds, but 1 single bed finally changed to a sofa bed. I did discuss it with the concierge, and she said the hotel policy can arrange a sofa bed if 3 bed’s bedrooms are full. I did check again, I really didn’t find it on policy page and also room description. Lastly, the sofa bed, I actually don’t think it is a sofa bed. The sofa cannot be extended. The arm of the sofa and the back of the sofa are still there.

GGuest UserFrom the moment we walked into the Tilman we were greeted with a big smile and very friendly staff . We were given an up grade which was a lovely surprise. The bath and shower were big and lots room . The beds and linen very comfortable, the towels were thick and fluffy . Lots of tea coffee milk in the room fridge with comp water 👍👍. Very clean room snd hallways . Breakfast my word was fantastic value and great choice 2 courses .
The waitress at breakfast was so nice and very pleasant. We will definitely stay again and recommend. 10/10
AAnonymous UserHotel is where the marina is. So it is nice. It is also the opposite end to where the castle is. Fortunately, Caernarfon is not very big. It's a nice 10 min walk along the coastal castle wall. What's unfortunate is that our toilet smells of urine and that the hotel doesnt really have a drop off drive way. The hotel uses public carpark for guests, so imagine when it rains. Reception is 1 floor up. More like a cashier counter. All in all, stay was fine, just a little ”piss” off with the smell in the bathroom.

RRobbA beautiful building, atmospheric and old, with a great vioew of Loch Ness - really has to be the best. The hotel is a looking a little old and tired. The 4 poster suite is the best in the hotel, but neeeds and upgrade. The food also needs a total makeover. Verdict: a lovely hotel that needs major investment and upgrade. Book through a travel website, as the hotel's own rates are too high.

GGuest UserThe hotel is located in the Snowdon Mountain Scenic Area, about 100 meters away is the Snowdon Mountain Train Station, which is very convenient. The hotel has a large parking lot with free parking. The room is average, relatively small, but clean and hygienic.
GGuest UserAmazing place to stay to those who seek for extra ordinary quite space with superb mountains view in Eryri National Park. . . . . and fall asleep in 12th Century Cottage
GGuest UserBooked room had no bathroom light or bulb in reading lamp but staff moved us to another room , which was ok but no bathroom exhaust fan , the bar manager was awesome
