I stayed here for two nights in a dorm, lodge 1. I had a top bunk and there wasn’t a railing so I was pretty worried about falling out. Also there weren’t any plugs inside the room - only one outside in the washroom area. Apparently the other dorm lodges do have plugs and railings though. Food is only at set times but was pretty reasonably priced! I had the split pea soup for dinner one night (5/5!) and a veggie curry the following (3/5) and a veggie burger for lunch (4.5/5). Complimentary breakfast was pretty basic but good enough! They had soy and almond milk available. There is a cute ethical shop/cafe nearby which is so nice but other than that I don’t think there’s much else within walking distance in terms of shops. The resort had daily activities to get involved with which is a bonus!! The pool was also very nice and the beach is great for snorkelling! My favourite part of the beach house was the shower in the washroom area attached to the dorm/lodge. It was an outside area but secluded and the shower pressure was insane!! And nice warm water. However, the toilet itself smelt pretty bad and I didn’t dare go near it.

A very VERY strange experience here I must say.. I arrived at the 28 bed dorm room (even though trip.com said it was 10 bed) and there was no sign of any other life in the dorm at all. Most of the beds looked like they had been made months ago and nobody had slept in them since because they were covered in a layer of dust and dirt.. I went back to reception to ask what was going on and they said I’m the only one booked in so I just accepted it as it was. However, later on when I was sitting the bar a member of staff approached me and told me I had been upgraded (because supposedly the dorms weren’t clean due to a big group having checked out yesterday) so I ended up spending two nights in a luxurious Bure, the first night shared with someone else who was booked in for the dorms. The Bure was beautiful and spotless and I am very grateful for the upgrade. The outside shower was also very nice! The breakfast was excellent with lots to choose from! Eggs, sausages, beans, bread, cakes, yogurts, fruit, multiple cereals, tea, coffee and juice, one morning there were pancakes. The only downsides to this resort is they don’t have any activities or excursions of their own and they direct you to the hotel further along - I did snorkelling there which costs $75 - the whole thing felt rushed in my opinion and the trip wasn’t worth the money. We got barely any time in the water and there was no time to stop and observe anything, seemed like the guys on the boat just wanted to get it all over and done with as fast as possible.

The biggest advantage is the good location, very close to the port, suitable for passengers who don't have time to go to the outer islands to transfer for one night. The hygiene is OK, the facilities are a bit old, but considering that it is the cheapest hotel around the port, it can be tolerated.

The hospitable elder sister always invites everyone to eat. Fijian specialties: fish, cassava, pineapples, bananas, you name it. The B&B is located four or five minutes by the sea. It is 5 kilometers and half an hour by car to Nadi Town, and then you can transfer to Lautoka or other places, which is very convenient. The most important staff are extremely enthusiastic and the Fijian people are very friendly! Thank you!

The room was clean, and the condition of the facilities was also good. The staff was friendly. I think the food menu is almost the same as other Tanoa hotels, and I basically didn’t find it very tasty. There weren't many options for food at the buffet breakfast.

The hotel restaurant is good. The room is large and the health is OK but not particularly good. The hotel is across the road from the beach to the sea. It is a bit strange that the Fijian people are friendly to the Chinese.

BBeandeaOn arrival the check in went smoothly. In the room there were no towells, or kettle? There were sachets of Coffee, Tea, sugar & milk creama. I went to make enquiries at reception they were checking in a large group. Close by I saw & went to the room-service laundry room, they quickly brought me what was needed, and apologized for the inconvenience. The room is dated as in previous comments, but it is clean, with clean sheets on the beds & very comfortable. Good reception on the TV. Shower altho dated was warm and had a strong water flow. Pool was clean, a little cold but was good enough for hubby to have a little dip. Efficient car parking space. There is no restaurant here but they quickly recommended visiting Gateway Hotel next door, we went there for Breakfast & Lunch it was amazing at Gateway they had 2 local gentlemen singing with guitars, serenading the guests” just beautiful” We requested a late check out till 5pm cost us $10 an hour $60 11am-5pm. At first when I asked reception for a late check out she said $10 an hour, I said ok, she then said oh no its $30 an hour cash??? Really?? She then said come back in the morning and check with reception???? which we did and were promptly told $10 an hour and can be paid via cash or credit card. We were given a receipt on request. Situated 2nd Closest Hotel to the Airport. we had a rental car but it is in Walking Distance from the Gateway Hotel, and the Gateway Hotel is just across the road to the Airport and closer to the Airport than the Trans International Hotel. We used Google Maps, to guide us to the Hotel, it rarely gets the destination wrong, but it did this time it guided us to a Hotel furtherest away from The Airport. So its not at The Big Red Maroon coloured Hotel, its in between & closer to The Gateway Hotel. If you can afford the extra cost, then stay at The Gateway it has a beautiful flow there on entry. Plenty of car parking. Beautiful restaurant, ovely friendly attentive staff. The sour cream for the wedges tasted & looked like standard cream from a bottle? I advised the waitress she took the small dish away and came back with exactly the same thing??? They need to change their brand of sour cream, if that was indeed sour cream. Cost $91 NZD at Trans International and about double the amount at Gateway. After checking out we went back nextdoor to Gateway to relax, be serenaded and wait for our late flight.

SsereleaThe room was clean and comfortable. I stayed in a villa, so there were a lot of locks, which was confusing. The back door was out of place and couldn't be opened or closed. The sea is shallow and very good for walking! The staff were also friendly. It was wonderful to have a welcome drink while watching the sunset. It's a shame that the access is not good, but it's worth staying! I told them that I couldn't eat breakfast the next day because of a remote island tour I had booked, so they gave me a lunch box. In the morning, when I went to the restaurant to get my lunch box, the chef didn't understand what I said, so he made it for me in a hurry. There was only enough for four people instead of five, but I was grateful that they made it early in the morning because I had asked for something.

GGuest UserHotel Toka Toka has a convenient location and offers charming little villas that fit well with the island vibe. However, the rooms themselves are rather basic, which aligns with its pricing in an area where hotels are generally expensive. The pool is decent, though nearby construction work can be disruptive, and the limited number of sun loungers means arriving early is advisable. A notable downside was the cleanliness, as we found hairs on the bed upon arrival. While the staff were friendly, they lacked efficiency and professionalism. During check-out, after leaving our luggage at reception, we faced unnecessary delays when settling our lunch bill—the staff seemed confused despite having processed our departure earlier. The situation worsened when the baggage attendant failed to recognize our suitcases, despite them being properly tagged, forcing us to point them out ourselves. Overall, this hotel works for a no-frills stay if location is your priority. However, its lack of attention to cleanliness and disorganized service make it hard to fully justify the price. Improvements in housekeeping and staff coordination would significantly enhance the experience.

LLow Siong Lye 27052025I recently stayed at Gecko's Resort and had a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. The resort has a peaceful atmosphere that’s perfect for unwinding. The rooms are spacious and well-kept, with a comfortable bed that made for restful nights. I especially appreciated the little touches like free DVDs available to borrow – a nice bonus for quiet evenings in. The location is great too – just a short distance from the beautiful Sigatoka Sand Dunes and the Pacific Ocean, so there’s no shortage of things to see and do nearby. One downside, however, is the Wi-Fi. Access requires a voucher, and if you're streaming videos (like on YouTube), the data only lasts around two hours. This was a bit inconvenient, especially in an age where connectivity is expected to be seamless. Overall, Gecko's Resort is a great option for a peaceful getaway with a few nice extras. Just be prepared to manage your internet usage or consider unplugging and enjoying the serene surroundings.

SsabsabhoThe road to the resort is a bit bumpy and nothing is really near to the resort (restaurants/ convenient stores etc.), so you will need to call a taxi every time you need to go out or get supplies. The room itself is not super bright and the furnitures were a bit wear out. The resort is literally on a beach, so do expect to have quite some mosquito whenever you are on your way back to your room, and it's also tricky for travellers with big luggages to carry their bags to their rooms, since there are few steps of stairs to the door of your room and the pathway is sand. However, if you are here for a short stay, I think it would be ok to look past that. If you are looking to stay for a night in Nadi, and going to the islands for the next few days, I suggest looking for other accommodations in downtown Nadi, such as Nalagi Hotel. As we drive past other hotels such as Mercury Hotel, it seems like a motel as well, so it might be best to look for something downtown.

GGuest UserWhere do you start. Greeted us with sincerity and had bn upgraded. The Bures were beautiful, everything you need. But could have used a bigger fridge .Gardens were immaculate. Staff were amazing, kind, genuinely friendly. Went out of their way to know our names. At dinner we were welcomed with their welcome song. We stayed twice. We had already booked our timeshare for our second week and were very sad to leave. All the staff came together to sing Fijis good bye song ‘Isa Lei’ which brought tears to our eyes. Only spent three nights at our timeshare and rang Crusoes to say we were coming back. They welcomed us back with open arms. Snorkeling was great. Activities were pre organized for the next day. We loved every moment and we will def be coming back next year. We made lifelong friends

GGuest UserThe location was excellent, and the cleanliness was great however I did see the white sheets were not as clean at all. I advised the staff to clean my room when I came back to the room I could see that they only made the bed but the same dirty sheets were used they did not even change the sheets so that was very disappointing. What also was disappointing, I ordered a Veg Pasta on one of my nights for dinner and within 5 mins I called upon the staff to advise that the Veg Pasta was not great at all however no apology or acknowledgement was made. They didn't even offer to make another dish for me or compensate another dish for me instead they charged me the whole amount which I paid for. So that was disappointing. The rest of the stay was great no issues
