4-Star Hotels in South Sumatra, Indonesia

Overall, it's still good, just like before. However, the soundproofing between rooms is quite poor, so noise from next door was a bit disruptive. Also, the rooms are directly opposite each other and very close, which means any conversations happening outside the doors are quite loud and disturbing.

I stayed at Aryaduta Palembang for 3 nights and was very satisfied with my entire experience here. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and always provided excellent service. The pillows and mattress were also very comfortable, allowing me to sleep soundly every night. The breakfast provided during my 3-day stay was delicious and offered a wide variety of options. I can honestly say that almost all the food I tried was tasty and satisfying. The hotel's strategic location near the mall made things very convenient. I will definitely choose this hotel again if I visit Palembang in the future.

The hotel boasts a beautiful environment, with comprehensive facilities. It's clean, tidy, safe, and quiet, making it ideal for business travelers. The service is excellent, with friendly staff, and the restaurant offers good food.

The location is great, very convenient in the city center. There are singing, dining, and shopping plazas right outside. It's only half an hour from the airport. The service is very good, although the front desk is a bit small. Breakfast is just average, but it's good value for the price. Recommended.

Cleanliness and sound insulation need improvement. Some areas also require maintenance, particularly the flooring and shower.

I stayed with my wife and 2 children (2 rooms) at the hotel. The hotel service seemed unprepared to handle the large number of guests. The breakfast room was very small and unable to accommodate guests, as well as the limited food options. We had to wait 15 minutes in front of the reception with other guests to get a seat for breakfast. Towels at the swimming pool were also unavailable. The parking area was quite spacious behind the building, but there was a lot of trash and construction debris. Otherwise, it was standard for a 4-star hotel.

Since I went during the holidays, it was super crowded. The pool was like a bowl of cendol (a traditional Indonesian dessert, implying it was packed with people), but the water was clean. The only downside was there was only one shower/rinse room, and out of the four elevators, they were slow for going up and down.

The food tasted good, but the menu was a bit limited and standard. What really surprised me was that I was charged an extra 140,000 IDR for breakfast. It was me, my husband, and two kids, and I only had a few sips of coffee and tasted some fish soup from what my child had ordered. We only took two adult portions of rice and one bowl of fish soup, which we didn't even finish. This is the first time I've ever stayed at a hotel and been charged extra like this. Even at 4 or 5-star hotels, there's usually no extra charge for breakfast as long as you don't take more than two adult portions of rice or go overboard with other dishes. I was charged 140,000 IDR just for tasting a bit of coffee and soup, without even eating any rice. If I had known, I would have eaten my fill! After that, I completely lost my appetite. It's just so odd; I've never been charged 140,000 IDR before for not taking more than two adult portions of food.

The place is okay, and the location is great. Unfortunately, sound travels easily between rooms. My neighbor's alarm went off early in the morning and they didn't turn it off, which was really noisy when I was still trying to sleep.
