It's worth it for a short stay while waiting for your flight. The hotel provides a free shuttle (till late) to and from the airport. The reception is also 24h so you don't have to worry about checking in late. IHG members (free membership) can also check-out late at 2pm (if available) so that's a plus point especially if your flight leaves in the later half of the day. The building is not incredibly well-maintained but for this price point, beggars can't be choosers. It can get a little noisy at night- The walls are not very soundproof. But otherwise, the room was clean and had all the amenities needed for a short stay. Breakfast buffet was good- I'd recommend getting it :) Hotel staff were incredibly helpful and polite as well.
There are many bus and tram stops near the hotel, and it is also convenient to take the ferry to West Terminal 2. The hotel has a sauna, which is open from 6pm to 11pm. There is breakfast, the time seems to be from 6pm to 10pm, I don't remember it very well.
The hotel is very quiet and I slept very well. The hotel provides a refrigerator, iron, safe, TV with English, and toiletries are all Dove. There is a large supermarket opposite, you can go in and have a look.

Very friendly staff in all departments, 10 minutes walk from downtown shopping area and in the heart of the Design District. Delicious breakfast buffet. Extremely comfortable bed, quiet room and contemporary design. Delighted with my stay and highly recommended.

This time I stayed in Helsinki for two nights and took a trip to Kuopio (a city in northeastern Finland). It is very convenient to live here. It is next to the train station and a relatively large shopping mall. It is very convenient to go to the city and the airport. , the distance is not very far.
Our experience wasn't off to a good start, dealing with Jason when dropping our bags in the morning. He was borderline racist, assuming we were with the other Asian groups, making presumptions about our requests, and had difficulties understanding our requests on arranging for early to-go breakfast boxes.
But everything else during our stay was perfect hence the 5 stars. Everyone else we dealt with, including the house keepers, restaurant staff and cleaners were all great - very helpful and friendly.
The hotel is strategically located right next to the Central railway station.
The room itself was large and clean and beautifully decorated. We also tried out the facilities including sauna and cold plunge (a Finnish culture), which were top notch. The gym was also world class and properly better equipped than some other commercial gyms out there.
The other highlight was the breakfast. So many options even for vegetarians like us, all allergens clearly labelled.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who's ever in Helsinki.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Valo Hotel in Helsinki, and it was an exceptional experience! The modern design and warm atmosphere made me feel right at home. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that all my needs were met. The amenities, including the gym and wellness area, were top-notch, providing a perfect way to unwind after a busy day of exploring the city. The location is also fantastic, making it easy to access local attractions. I highly recommend Valo Hotel Helsinki for anyone looking for a comfortable and stylish stay in the heart of the city! Five stars all the way!
location was super convenient, we were a 3 mins walk away from the Central Railway Station which connects you to other places in Helsinki quickly and efficiently. breakfast selection can be varied as we stayed for a couple of nights but the selection remained the same everyday. but overall, really enjoyed our stay! :) thank you for the amazing service provided especially at the reception where we experienced difficulties with our flight and they were kind enough to assist us throughout.
I have no idea why some complains about the customer service, it was nice.
The location is not really far from PK area, but there are not many restaurant options nearby.
The worst part for me was just that the room is quite bad though the hotel was not really expensive.
I have not seen any hotel that does not have a shampoo or body wash...
Ofc, no toothbrush, no toothpaste..
No fridge, even no glass for drinking..

The hotel is situated a bit further from the city center, but there is no need to worry because the public transport around the hotel is excellent and efficient. The breakfast offered is great, and while the bed is quite soft, I would prefer it to be a bit firmer for better back support. The housekeeping staff was very helpful. Overall, my stay was pleasant, and I look forward to staying at the hotel again in the future.

HheidiOverall, my recent stay with Bob W was disappointing.
I booked the 4-person penthouse room primarily for the use of the sauna on my last day of the trip.
Firstly, pin code provided was only valid for door access to the stairs, not door to the elevator side at night. This became a significant inconvenience, especially for a female traveler like myself who arrived at night after a tiring flight. Having to carry a 20kg luggage and a 10kg carry-on up five flights of stairs was both physically demanding and frustrating. Clear arrangements on how to access the elevator at night should have been considered for guest.
Secondly, check-in process was not clearly communicated, causing panic upon arrival. Unfortunately, I had to seek help from customer service on a third-party booking site and reach out via email to obtain a check-in link, which added unnecessary stress and confusion.
Furthermore, instruction for turning on the sauna were unclear, and I was unable to enjoy it until the next morning at 8am, just few hours before my checkout time. I had specifically chosen the penthouse room with the sauna for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. due to the lack of clear instructions, and had to seek assistance to figure out how to operate it properly, which ate into the limited time I had available to enjoy the amenity.
In conclusion, my stay with Bob W fell short of my expectations. The limited time to enjoy the amenities, issues during the check-in process and accessing the elevator, made for a less than satisfactory experience. I hope that Bob W seriously takes feedback into consideration and makes the necessary improvements to ensure a more enjoyable stay for travelers in the future. Thank you

PPuvinPretty decent hotel, comfortable bed and clean room! Breakfast spread was good! Very near the airport and offers free shuttle! Gym was excellent! About 30-45mins commute to the city for sightseeing but u can take the shuttle to the airport and then train to the city!

GGuest UserThe hotel is located very close to the central station with many restaurants and cafes in the surroundings. The facilities are very new and clean. However the rooms are not quite like the pictures, the standard double room we booked is so small that we can only open one luggage at a time and we ended upgrading to another room type. It's not a big difference in terms of money but we feel scammed and the perception isn't great.
Another thing when we tried to use the sauna their staff told us we needed to pay for it and book a session in advance (at least two hours in advance I believe), which no one mentioned before not even when we check-in nor printed anywhere in the hotel.
Overall the hardware is og high quality and I'm quite happy with it, however, the software in terms of service and communication has plenty of room to grow.
GGuest UserThe location of this hotel is unbeatable. Just turn left out from the door of the restricted area. Walk along the passageway until you reach the lift and staircas leading down to the basement. The few minutes walk is all indoor, so you don't even need to hand carrying the water jacket with you. The first stop of the hotel is a self check-in iPad station. Yet, the actual check-in counter is in the bar next to it; which they called it a Barception. The room is tiny. It might be difficult for 2 persons to share their twins room. The bathroom is tiny, too. It might again be difficult for an adult man to take a shower in that diamond shape shower room (because one of the corners was cut to free up space). Only all in one shower and hair washing liquid is available.
CChai29Hotel is lovely and the room is spacious and very clean. It’s very close to Helsinki city centre, about 15 minutes and just across the river. Buffet breakfast is delicious and fresh with plenty of options. All the staff are very friendly and helpful and in particular, the lovely lady in the kitchen is always smiling, warm, cheerful and greets everyone good morning on arrival for breakfast. It really makes a difference to the start of the day. If you don’t have a lot of luggage and arrive by train from the airport, this hotel is a short 15 minutes from from Helsinki Central station. Otherwise there is a train stop underground just a little to the left of the hotel and tram stop right in front of the hotel which is currently under renovations.
