IntercityHotel Heidelberg

Unfortunately, the bathroom in the first room smelled of urine after showering. The smell probably came from the drain. The room was immediately swapped by reception without discussion. Otherwise, I was extremely satisfied! Thanks to our membership in the H Rewards Club, we received a day ticket for public transport in Heidelberg every day!

IntercityHotel Karlsruhe

A nice hotel near Bahnhof of Karlsruhe, the rooms are nice and clean, you have everything you need in your room, complimentary water waits in the room. You have a kettle to make coffee and tea. The bathroom was clean as well, the shower was spacious. The bed was clean including pillows and mattress. Pillow and blanket were thick and cozy to sleep on. Near the hotel you have parking free of charge after 8 p.m until 8 a.m from Monday to Friday. Free of charge the whole day on the weekends. You have inside the Bahnhof building bakeries, subway and McDonald. And a very nice vegan spot for porridge that is made fresh for you, the price is better than the bakery which was very overpriced. A tram station is very close ( when you come out of the hotel on your right as well as the bahnhof) , you can reach any further destination you need.
Aparthotel Adagio Heidelberg

Strategic location right in the heart of the town. Did not get breakfast but there is a supermart within walking distance and managed to get some sundries. Railway station just beside the hotel but was not noisy. Room sound proofing is very effective. A Burger King restaurant attached to the railway station. Room and bed are comfortable. Good ambience. Parking garage is shared with Intercity Hotel and does get a bit confusing because there designated zones. Spaces are limited. So, good luck with finding a spot.

Hotel room was a little dated but so very clean and the bed was very big and comfortable. It was perfect for what we needed. The breakfast was great also. Reception staff were so kind and helpful. We came to visit the Christmas markets in Basel. Taxis into Basel were quite expensive but we expected this but coming back in an uber saved some expense. Overall a clean and quiet hotel with lovely staff and quite close to airport. I would recommend to anyone intending to visit Basel.

Reception person was nice enough. Spoke to the ”Chef” a day or so prior to check-in - requested and was given a front facing, lower floor room. Upon check-in given a 3rd room floor with NO couch (where the couch should be) and no chair. Back to reception; given a 5th floor room with SAME result; back to reception. Given a 6th floor room which at least had a chair where the couch should have been - I'll stay here buuuuut mini fridge inop as was the Thermostat. Bathroom water pressure was dismal with no condiments; good I always bring my own. BTW exiting the elevator on the 6th floor: lights were out in the hallway and as I always check the stairway, also dark, told reception who called maintenance who solved the problem.
Hotel Federwerk

We had a pleasant stay at this hotel. Our room was spacious, and the bathroom was equally roomy. The design of the room was new and trendy, which made our stay quite enjoyable. However, it can be a bit noisy at night if your room faces the road, as cars occasionally pass by quite fast. If your room faces the other side, though, you will enjoy a beautiful view of the small villages and trees. The breakfast offered many choices of food and drinks, and there was even a juicer available. The restaurant itself looked very modern, although there were some flies in the room. Overall, we appreciated the spacious and well-designed accommodations and the wide variety of breakfast options.

Cute hotel with tangible concept. I liked design and the idea of the facilities and interior of room and open spaces. The gym is small but well equipped with 2 cross trainers and one bike plus basic exercise equipment. I missed yoga mats. The breakfast is quite good with high level of variety and quality, only little disturbance is that some of the food looked not that fresh anymore (Obatzder, Cheese, sausages) due to laying out and uncovered for longer time (maybe better to refill more frequently). I can definitely recommend this hotel and I’ll come again. A plus is also the parking garage with electric charging capability. The local sole pool is accessible directly from hotel.

Like a house in a fairy tale, everything is retro, there are hotels of the age and history, the elevator is small, and the two big ones are very crowded. There are not many breakfast options, but the croissant here is the best I have ever eaten. It is crispy and tender, not oily or greasy, super invincible and delicious. I have been back to China for half a month, or I am thinking of the croissant here. . The parking fee is very expensive, ten or twenty euros ~ you can find cheap parking nearby
