The highlight of our stay at Bad Hotel Überlingen was definitely the spa area. It felt very new, clean, and thoughtfully designed. The sauna resting area, in particular, stood out—it connects directly to a garden, and from there you have a beautiful view over Lake Constance. Stepping outside for fresh air between sauna sessions, with that view in front of you, was genuinely relaxing.
The gym, on the other hand, felt a bit disappointing. It’s quite small, and strangely, there were no weights available. It seemed like all the equipment was locked away in a physio or personal training room, which made the space feel incomplete for anyone wanting a proper workout.
Breakfast was a much more positive experience. The selection was excellent, easily better than what I’ve come across in most German hotels. Everything was well presented, and the refilling was always timely, so nothing ever felt empty or neglected. That said, the service was a little inconsistent. One staff member—a dark hair runner in the restaurant—handled a small issue with a pepper grinder poorly, initially dismissing the concern instead of checking it. Thankfully, another server stepped in quickly and resolved the situation before it escalated further.
Parking is available either at the hotel or at the car park across the street, both at €17 per day, which is straightforward but something to factor in.
What really ties everything together is the location. The surroundings are beautiful—the lakefront promenade is just there, perfect for a walk, and there’s a nearby park with a charming tower that adds to the scenery. The Bodensee-Therme Überlingen is also just around the corner, making it easy to extend that spa-like feeling beyond the hotel itself.
In the end, Bad Hotel Überlingen is a place where the setting and spa experience really shine, even if a few details—like the gym setup and some service moments—don’t quite match the overall potential. This is one of the very few hotel I would love to stay over again.

LoulouyudashuExtremely satisfied! The location is great; you can walk through the park right to the Old Town. Just a heads-up about parking: if you don't reserve a spot, you might not find one and will have to use a nearby parking lot, but it's not too far, so it's acceptable. The room has a kettle, and the bed is very comfortable. The staff are incredibly warm and friendly; everyone we met was welcoming and even enthusiastic. Breakfast was excellent. I absolutely love this hotel!

ZhiailansedemaoThis is a truly perfect hotel, spacious and bright, with a striking design. It has two rooms, one inside and one outside, and the sofa bed in the outer room is incredibly comfortable and high-quality. The window overlooks the street, and the sound of church bells drifts in the breeze, evoking a sense of ethereal peace and tranquility... It's a style my children and I absolutely adore. The room also comes with a generous selection of food and beverages, all included in the room rate. The service charge accepts both credit and cash, which is very flexible. The bathroom sink plug was broken, so I called customer service. Upon opening the door, the handsome front desk guy came to fix it. Without a word, he took off his suit and quickly fixed it. This multi-person experience isn't limited to domestic use. My children said they probably waited for the repairman to arrive, and they didn't know when.

Francesco ChillinoThis hotel is clearly designed for business travelers, but even as a couple, we had a good stay. The city center is a 10-15 minute walk away. The on-site parking is a bit pricey; however, on Sundays, street parking in the surrounding area is free. If I were to return to Ulm, I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is relatively old, the door is scratched, there is no exhaust fan, and it is difficult to dry clothes. It is next to the Danube River and the scenery is good. Breakfast was okay, but there were no hot drinks

Guest UserFirst off, the apartment is very spacious. The bedroom is separate from the kitchen and bathroom. The bathroom is large, and while it doesn't have a separate shower and dry area, it's fully equipped with everything you need, and the hot water is fast and plentiful. The soundproofing for sleeping is also excellent.
Secondly, the amenities are comprehensive. It has all the pots, pans, dishcloths, brushes, knives, forks, and cutting boards you could ask for. There's also a kettle, coffee machine, induction hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, range hood, iron, and hairdryer. A quick tip: you must turn on the range hood before using the induction hob – just pull it out, and it starts automatically.
Lastly, the bedroom is large with plenty of tables, and the bed is a good size too, with a comfortable mattress and lots of pillows for a great night's sleep. Everything feels very new and in excellent condition!
There are a few drawbacks: The laundry room costs extra, though the gym is free. Check-in is strictly at 3 PM, which might be due to high demand on weekends, but you can store your luggage and explore beforehand. Oh, and check-out is at 11 AM! It's right next to Heidelberg's main train station, which is super convenient for catching trains. We checked out half an hour early and still ended up waiting 25 minutes at the station!

I had a lovely stay at this hotel. The staff were very helpful and kind. I was able to.check in early without extra cpsts and could leave my luggage at reception the next day. They could suggest sights to see and gave me a sightseeing map.the room.was vig enough, clean and tidy, but it did not have a kettle and cups for making tea.

I recently stayed at this establishment and, overall, I’m quite satisfied. The location is simply perfect — close to everything you need for an enjoyable stay. It’s definitely a major asset!
However, one important downside: the noise at night. The rooms, although nicely decorated, suffer from insufficient soundproofing. You can hear not only people walking outside but also noise from neighboring rooms — sometimes even objects falling in the rooms next door! This clearly affects the quality of sleep, especially for light sleepers.
As for the decor, nothing to complain about — it’s modern, tasteful, and well put together. I’d easily give it an 8/10. Regarding the bathroom facilities, they’re functional, but would benefit from a more thorough cleaning, especially the toilet bowls. While it’s a minor detail, it does impact the overall impression of the place’s standard. I’d rate this aspect a 7/10.
In summary, despite a few minor issues, the overall comfort is satisfactory. It’s a solid choice if you’re looking for a well-located place with good value for money. Overall rating: 8.5/10, with hope that a few improvements will be made soon to reach excellence.
