Osh Hotel Cartagena

The Osh hotel has such an amazing vibe. As you enter the lobby, you are greeted by their lovely staff with a welcome drink. Check in was really smooth and they offered options for my room category, and the location was great. Literally walking distance to local bodegas, bars and restaurants. Osh is located 10-15 min from walled city, which made dinner options and tours easy to get to in the area. Prior to my stay in the Osh hotel, I stayed at the Hilton with my travel group for four days. In comparison although most tourist stay at the Hilton or the Hyatt. I would opt to stay at Osh every time. Beautiful pool on the main floor and rooftop. While there is not beach access, I believe you can simply book a tour for a beach day at Aqua Azul or Makani Luxury Wanderlust. During my stay also schedule a massage in my room which was a nice add on before I traveled back home. I highly recommend you experience The Osh in Colombia. Suites are also available to splurge a bit and treat yourself.

Absolutely fantastic. This is a quiet small resort with maybe 14 rooms. 1.5 hours from Cartagena City. A bit of a harrowing drive, but definitely worth the trip. Once you get in through the doors, it’s beautiful & peaceful. Balinese type style. Not a five-star resort but they do a really nice job. Very well staffed so you have somebody to help you if you need anything. Very quiet. No telephones, no tv’s in room. Rooms are spacious, private, very comfortable. Two small beaches on either side of the main area. All open-air reception, Restaurant. One restaurant iwth 2 levels. Food was actually terrific. Best food we had in Colombia. We were there for three nights and absolutely loved it. lots of daytrippers, people coming in from Cartagena on boat to spend the day at the resort. Was nice. Will definitely come back. Thank you to Lordy who took such nice care of our family. Special place.

My wife and I stayed here for the last 4 days of our honeymoon. We had a wonderful experience. The hotel is quaint and provided the intimate feel that we were looking for after staying in other larger hotels earlier in our trip. Our accommodations were quiet yet right in the middle of anything we wanted to do in the Walled City. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. The entire hotel was immaculately clean. The location also made us feel very safe. The pool was a perfect escape from the mid day heat. The bed was a comfortable ending to great days exploring the city. The bathroom was elegant with high ceilings and a large mirror. The shower was spacious but lacked water pressure due to the head being located so high. However, this did not negatively impact our stay. The only improvement to the hotel I would offer would be to develop the rooftop observation deck to become a more welcoming space. We ventured up there to take a look at the city and found a lovely space that with a little work could be a great draw to see the ancient architecture of the Walled City. It has been a week since our trip and I still catch myself dreaming about our time at the hotel. Wonderful place to stay.

You can have a really good time in this hotel, the food in the restaurant is really good and the service is even better, the rooms are comfortable and the employees are kind, friendly and good at doing their work. Congratulations to all the employees, especially Alonso from the restaurant who was charismatic and professional.

The hotel in nice and the rooms are huge with sea view balcony! This hotel no have private beach so anyone can swim in hotel front beach. When you want to go to front beach and get seats and umbrella you have to pay COL PESO 30.000! In front beach there is a lot of food sellers drink sellers which every 5 min someone gonna come up to bother you that was the only - issue! Rest hotel is great and specially the pools was amazing! Breakfast is good enough! Good for family and group of friends!

La Boquilla
Location: City Center (Old Town Cartagena) is 15 min- 25 min away depending on traffic. If you don't care about seeing old town, then this may be ok. The hotel is located at La Boquilla next to a bad neighborhood, so be aware of people harassing you at the beach at all times, and keep an eye on your belongings. When you leave the hotel always walk to the right towards the city, don't go left or you may find yourself in a very bad location really fast. This is a special note to women traveling to Colombia. Hotel: Clean, food is ok not great, staff was friendly except for the people at the front desk. They seemed to be always busy, and behind their daily duties, so they will rush you, and not give you proper attention, they need at least another person at the front desk at peak hours. Pool is ok, service at the pool was good. They will ask you to provide a pass to get a towel, so don't loose the pass or the towel, you may get charged for it. (Not a fancy systems) Reminds me of hotels in Colombia back in the 80's when towels were a luxury. Beach: Biggest disappointment of the trip, water is dark, and the sand is gray/brown. You cannot see your feet with a foot of water on them. Note that as soon as you come out of the hotel towards the Beach there is a security guard from the Hotel at the door, part of his job is to advised you to watch your belongings, and not to buy anything from beach vendors. This gives you an idea of this beach. Forget about bringing your own umbrella or beach chair, there are vendors that have taken possession of the beach by renting umbrellas and chairs, if you don't rent from them, you will be left out to use a small portion of the beach very close to the water. My advised is to pay the $5 dollars and rent from them. Beach vendor will harass you all day long. Avoid buying food and always ask prices up front before ordering drinks or anything else. There are horror stories of people paying $25 for a Coke. I don't recommend this place for families, or for single women visiting the city, much better options in Bocagrande or Old town. The place is ok for single guys or business. Hope this helps,

A great congrats to the Interconti in Cartagena ! My whole 22 people family spent 10 days in the hotel ! Everyone was amazing (specially the bar, restaurant and Pool ) they were lovely ! The chef came few times to ask my mum (who is unable to eat many things due to her health ) and discussed with her her food and always came out with something amazing ! Erika in the restaurant was friendly and always had suggestions on the menu ! Beside Ricardo ! The reception team needs to build some genuine smile, some of them treat guest like they are doing them a favour ! My room was massive and always impecable ! Location amazing ! Taxis, right at the door and shopping centre in the same buiding ! We r definitely coming back ! Thank you for such great holidays

So, let's start with the good. Our room was large, comfortable, and clean. Everything else about this hotel is awful. First, the pool is far too small for the size of the hotel. The available chairs are often full and there is no shade. Second, the breakfast experience is miserable. Once again, the room is far too small for the size of the hotel. Everything is cramped. Some days it was hard to find a table. Some days we noticed staff were not replacing the paper placements between guests. Third, service leaves quite a bit to be desired. When we checked in, we confirmed with the clerk that we were being charged in Colombian pesos. However, when we checked our bank account, we realized we were charged in dollars -- which cost more due to their awful exchange rate and service fees. When we spoke to the front desk, we were first told they couldn't do anything about it. Then, we were told their credit card machines don't even allow them to charge in US dollars. Then, we were told that the clerk would speak to management and get back to us -- we never heard back. This is a terribly run IHG property and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Quite a gem of a hotel in the old walled city of Cartagena. The staff was welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them to make our stay pleasurable. The hotel was within walking distance of all the important areas in Cartagena. Room was spotless and the bed comfortable. Cartagena is a happy and happening city so there is music and laughter sometimes in the evening but nothing to cause a bother. I guess if you are looking for peace and quiet a hotel in the middle of the old city is not for you but we enjoyed every moment of our stay.
