Very good four-star hotel, the service is very good, there is free parking at the door, it is very important for us to drive by car, it is very convenient to transfer at the highway intersection, there is a very rich breakfast, there is a mini refrigerator, we stayed for two days very satisfied, will stay again next time
Super warm hotel, must be five-star praise!
Hotel location is very good to go out is the castle, a few minutes walk to the attractions super convenient.
The most impressive thing is the service of the staff. Especially a lady at the front desk (sorry, I didn't remember her name), asked her how to take the bus to The Hague. At that time, there were other guests waiting. We were not embarrassed to delay. The staff probably checked and we left first. As a result, when she returned to the hotel at night, she specially handed over three notes, which clearly wrote the address of the car, the time of each train, and even how long to get to the station in advance! This detail is really heartwarming! Location plus points, service is full marks, next time you come here!
A fantastic hotel with an excellent location right by the canal. The hotel has two entrances: one accessible by vehicle on a back street, and another directly opening onto the canal. Tour boats stop almost right outside the hotel, making it incredibly convenient to pop back to rest our feet after exploring. The front desk staff were very friendly. The canal view was absolutely worth it; opening the window revealed a postcard-perfect scene. You could happily spend a whole day just enjoying the room. There's a supermarket nearby where you can buy fruit and water, and complimentary water was also provided in the fridge. The spacious bathroom was well-equipped with an iron, hairdryer, slippers, and a shower cap. Marriott's quality standards are definitely upheld here. Highly recommended!
Because I joined a domestic tour group halfway through, I stayed at the hotel. It feels good. The hotel is relatively new and not big, but it is clean and the bed is comfortable. The pillows are weird, square and not good for pillows. , The front desk service is very good, and also helped us to arrange a taxi to Brussels Airport.
Outstanding hotel and without hesitation I can say this is the best hotel I’ve stayed at in Europe to date. Wonderfully friendly staff, superb facilities and refinements and the rooms are presented to an exceptionally high standard. I would not consider anywhere else when returning to Ghent as this place was incredible
Beautiful hotel with perfect view of a cathedral from our twin room. Hotel is in a historic building with lovely architectural features by the canal and the room we were in was a cleverly designed ”duplex” with the bathroom and sinks on the upper floor (ie loft) which made full use of the almost double volume ceiling in the smallish twin room we were in. The only drawback was that the steps were narrow and steep and would pose a problem if one had mobility issues. The toilet was located by the door next to the entrance but there was no sink for handwashing. Alcohol gel in a pump bottle was provided.
There is a café, lifestyle / clothes shop and supermarket in the same building. Very convenient and the hotel's location was walkable to all the sights in Ghent central.
The front desk staff were very polite and gracious and allowed us to store our luggage when we arrived before 11am, since check-in was strictly at 4pm. We were happy to find that our suitcases had been already delivered to our room when we returned to the hotel at 4pm.
There are 2 bars in the hotel - one which is open to the public which was buzzing in the evenings and a guest-only ”Honesty Bar” (1st photo) in which hotel guests could purportedly help themselves to liquor and pen down what they had imbibed - but I never saw anyone in it ! This could be due to a lack of ice or mixers. Or glasses. 🍸

GGuest UserWhat a beautiful hotel! Rooms were very nice. The restaurant was completely booked online. Even when check-in, it was still asked if it was possible to book a table for 2. This was fortunately possible! And what a nice restaurant (adviser!) Also breakfast next morning was well arranged. Friendly staff and a good location (5 min and you are heart center) We will certainly come back here again!
GGuest UserThe room is very large, the balcony room is set, and the only one is on the road. Room number 141, everyone avoids lightning. Because the car sounds at night. I also encountered construction in the morning and couldn't sleep well.
Reaction with Trip was also solved.
There is always a fox smell when the room opens, and the window needs to be opened for ventilation.
It takes3-5 minutes to walk from the old street in the main district.
The hotel environment is great.
BBaeSueWe specially enjoyed the bath tube in the room we stayed. The location was also great, as you can connect directly to the shopping district. Staffs were very friendly and helpful.
GGuest UserThe hotel room was neat. The breakfast is very good. We were here between Christmas and New Year's Eve and that meant that the bar on the ground floor was closed. The sky bar has a limited offer at much higher prices. The view (highway, industrial estate) is not a reason to choose the sky bar.
