5-Star Hotels in Sichuan, China

Pros: Wifi was really good here with super fast connection as compared to some other hotels I have been in China. Breakfast is decent. Pool looks nice. Location is good and easy to get a taxi. Overall pretty clean. Nice to have washing machine in the room. Robot for food deliveries. Cons: We did not seem to be able to adjust the aircon temperature to our desired level and had to resort to opening the curtains and windows fully at times. Sometimes, the food delivery driver is not able to use the robot so we had to collect it downstairs ourselves. Overall: Would recommend!

A good service from the hotel. Added the 小管家 on wechat, you may request anything from wechat. I would say this is worth the money. I book between usd $140 to usd$150 per night. But the breakfast isnt that tasty, you might wish to think twice before booking one with breakfast. There are westen (after 730am) and chinese (before 730am) to choose from.

I stayed at the Tianfu Airport Enjoy Hotel during my layover, and it was a perfectly seamless experience. The biggest surprise was how convenient it was: I just followed the signs from Terminal 2 and walked straight to the hotel lobby in 5 minutes, without even having to go outside. For early morning or red-eye flights, this distance is an absolute lifesaver. The room was more spacious than I expected, and the soundproofing was excellent – even though my window faced the jet bridge, I could barely hear any planes taking off or landing once the window was closed. The bedding was comfortable, and the shower had great water pressure. After a quick hot shower, I finally got the most restful sleep I've ever had during a layover. The front desk offers 24-hour service, and the staff were very efficient. Even though it was just a short stay, the convenience and comfort were truly relaxing. If you need to stay overnight or have a layover at Shuangliu Airport, this is definitely the top choice; the value for money is far better than other hotels around the airport.

The location is good, but the hygiene is just okay, and the facilities are quite old. The funniest part was the service. I called for water, and it didn't arrive for an hour. I had to go to the front desk myself to get it. The front desk lady apologized very quickly, though. It felt like the front desk and housekeeping were completely separate departments with no communication. During check-in, they sweet-talked me into signing up for a membership by promising a fruit platter – specifically a fruit platter. A day passed, and it never arrived. After multiple reminders, the front desk lady maintained her apologetic attitude, promising to arrange it immediately, but nothing came of it. On the second evening of my stay, the housekeeping auntie brought me an orange, a pear, and an apple, saying that a pomegranate that was already on the table yesterday was the 'fruit platter'... Okay, I've had fruit platters before, and I even accidentally saw what kind of fruit platter they delivered to the room next door – at least it was cut fruit, right? I immediately told her that the front desk promised a fruit platter, not a few whole fruits, and returned them. The auntie gave an awkward smile and said, 'It's fine, just take it and eat it.' Do I look like I'm starving for fruit? At this point, I was getting angry. I felt like I'd been conned. A single pomegranate is a fruit platter? I called again, and the front desk lady, as usual, apologized and promised that since there was no fresh fruit today (what was the housekeeping auntie bringing me then?), they would arrange a fruit platter first thing tomorrow morning. I repeatedly confirmed with her if the 'fruit platter' was what I understood it to be and received an affirmative answer. Fine, I'd wait... The next day, I was already preparing to check out when it finally arrived. I gave up. It was just one banana more than the previous collection. I admit defeat. It's not that I absolutely needed to eat their fruit platter, but I really dislike feeling like I've been fooled, especially when they tell me a single pomegranate is a 'fruit platter'... (See attached photo) In the end, I didn't eat any of it. I just felt that the service was absolutely terrible.

Who says the Ritz-Carlton Chengdu is subpar???!!! I especially want to commend Manager Meria Pan Liping. She is, without a doubt, the most satisfying lady I've encountered across all the Ritz-Carltons I've stayed at! First, before check-in, she meticulously confirmed every detail, never shirking or giving vague answers, and implemented every one of my requests. Second, throughout my entire stay, she was always responsive to my needs. Her efficiency and professionalism deserve a huge thumbs-up! As an ESTJ who values efficiency and attention to detail, I couldn't find a single flaw in Manager Pan's service! I'd even say Manager Pan sets the benchmark and is the epitome of Ritz-Carlton service! Finally, I'd also like to commend the Concierge and Executive Lounge. The Concierge always arranged transportation perfectly; the cars were clean and tidy, and they were prompt in opening doors and handling luggage. The Executive Lounge's food and beverage offerings are far superior to those at the Ritz-Carlton Nanjing, Tianjin, and Pudong, among others. Every time my child went to dine, the ladies and gentlemen in the lounge could accurately call out my child's name, and Alisa is not only beautiful but also understands my child's preferences, providing incredibly thoughtful service!

## Facilities All the essentials were provided, including welcome candies in the room and a well-stocked mini-bar. Basic facilities like the swimming pool and gym were also available. However, the standard room type did not have a smart/bidet toilet, and the bed felt a bit small. ## Cleanliness Excellent, ensuring a very comfortable and reassuring stay. ## Ambiance & Location The hotel itself is beautiful, and its location is quite good, offering convenient access to various places. ## Service Overall, the service was good. However, I noticed from previous reviews that guests are usually contacted beforehand to confirm their check-in preferences, which didn't happen in my case. Additionally, food deliveries are not brought up to the room; guests need to collect them from the designated delivery locker. On the positive side, the front desk staff were very welcoming upon check-in, and the concierge took the time to thoroughly explain the room's facilities.

Our first stop on this family trip to Chengdu, Sichuan, was this long-standing five-star hotel. We initially booked it for its prime location, but we were pleasantly surprised by the exceptional service. The rooms are well soundproofed, ensuring a quiet stay despite being in a bustling downtown area. The comfortable mattresses allowed the seniors in our family to sleep soundly. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of choices, and the pastries and desserts were excellent, a big hit with the kids. Upon arrival, one of our rooms wasn't fully prepared, so we had to wait briefly. However, the very next day, the hotel proactively upgraded our room. When checking out, we accidentally left behind a thermos and some food from the mini-fridge. The hotel customer service proactively arranged for these items to be sent via free fresh delivery to our next hotel – truly above and beyond service! The whole family was thoroughly impressed, and we'll definitely choose this hotel again for our next trip to Chengdu.

While I've stayed in Chengdu before, this was the first time I brought my parents to a hotel located so conveniently close to Chunxi Road and Taikoo Li. Both the facilities and service were excellent. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Parking was also very convenient and complimentary for guests. We even received a small gift upon check-out. My parents were very impressed with the hotel as well. We'll definitely be back, and for a longer stay next time!

The hotel boasts a great atmosphere and a prime location, right in the heart of the Chunxi Road Taikoo Li commercial district. There are plenty of fantastic dining options nearby, and getting around by taxi or metro is incredibly convenient. The breakfast spread was extensive, and the food was quite good. The room was spotless, and the water pressure in the shower was particularly excellent. A special shout-out to the complimentary travel photoshoot – both the photographer and stylist were very professional and dedicated, and the resulting photos turned out wonderfully!

The front desk at this five-star hotel completely messed us around! After checking in and getting to our room, I eagerly opened the curtains, only to find there were no pandas 🐼 anywhere in sight. I immediately called to ask where my promised panda view was! The staff member replied that they would transfer me to the person in charge and asked me to wait. After waiting for a while with no callback, I went directly to the front desk to speak with the staff who had checked me in. They informed me that there were no panda view rooms available. I insisted that I had specifically booked a panda room, and my reservation was confirmed successfully. I argued that if a room is successfully booked, it should be allocated to me, and if there truly were no such rooms, it shouldn't have been available for booking in the first place. My booking confirmation meant a panda room was reserved for me. (I was very upset and firm in my stance). They tried to suggest it might be because I had previously requested three adjacent rooms and smoking rooms, which I quickly clarified I was willing to forgo, but the panda view room was non-negotiable. Still, they kept repeating that there were no rooms! Then another staff member came over to ask what the problem was, and I repeated my entire story. This staff member, seemingly trying to be helpful, suggested that the elevator lobby windows offered a view of the pandas, and I could go there if I wanted to take photos! Are you kidding me?! The whole point was to see the pandas from *my room* 🐼, and you're telling me to go to the elevator lobby? I vehemently disagreed and, extremely angry, told him that he absolutely had to give me a panda room today (raising my voice significantly). 😡 Eventually, they finally gave me a panda 🐼 room, and without any further wait! (smiley face emoji) What kind of game were they playing? Why couldn't they just assign it to me from the beginning instead of making me jump through hoops and argue? (They had told me twice in between that there really were no rooms). The facilities were just okay – they seem to have been renovated, but I hope they can improve the bathrooms.
