Whenever I visit Chengdu these past few years, I always stay at the Grand Hyatt. It offers excellent value for money. Firstly, the rooms are well-appointed, the beds are incredibly comfortable, and they even provide complimentary beverages. Secondly, the location is super convenient, just a 5-minute walk from the subway station. Thirdly, it's perfect for shopping: located in the heart of Chunxi Road, with the Ginza Mall right downstairs and just a 5-minute walk to Taikoo Li and IFS. Fourthly, the breakfast spread is extensive and delicious. Lastly, the service quality is top-notch; everyone from the front desk staff to the restaurant servers and the doorman on the first floor is warm and attentive. All in all, I'll definitely be staying at the Grand Hyatt again next time!

On the second night of our stay, right before bed, we noticed a few mosquitoes. We initially thought it was just one or two, but then we looked at the ceiling and saw them everywhere – many weren't even mosquitoes, probably over 30 in total. We called the front desk at 1 AM, and they seemed quite dismissive, not even coming to check the room. After two calls, the hotel suggested we switch rooms. To our dismay, the new room also had a lot of mosquitoes. Only after strongly insisting did they find a can of insect repellent. After half an hour of spraying, the duvet and floor were covered in dead mosquitoes and other flying insects. We asked if they could change the sheets and pillowcases, but that was a whole other story – there was no housekeeping staff available, and even though the security guard was diligent, he wasn't trained for housekeeping duties. I honestly recommend installing mosquito screens; it's astonishing to have so many flying insects and mosquitoes on the 23rd floor.

In May, I booked my stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Chengdu via Ctrip. The first four nights were paid in full and non-cancellable, while the last night was set for 'pay at hotel' due to an uncertain itinerary. Upon check-in, the front desk associate requested payment for both the last night's room fee and the deposit upfront. The guest repeatedly tried to explain and requested to pay them separately, but the associate couldn't decide and called over a female manager. After understanding the situation, the manager agreed not to collect the last night's room fee immediately, but then demanded a higher deposit. During the conversation, she was adamant about the amount, leading to a 15-minute standoff where voices grew louder. This attracted the Director of Rooms. After the guest re-explained their request, the Director not only further increased the deposit amount but also emphasized that it was 'company policy' and 'unalterable'. The guest had previously stayed at several other Ritz-Carlton properties and always had excellent experiences, which is why they chose The Ritz-Carlton, Chengdu. They were completely unprepared for such a scene. The Director insisted it was 'The Ritz-Carlton, Chengdu's own policy'. Although he verbally offered 'Is there anything else I can help you with?', he completely disregarded the guest's requests, displaying an arrogant and rude attitude, behaving as if the guest either had to pay the demanded deposit or simply not stay at the Ritz. Of course, he knew the guest had already paid for four non-cancellable nights! This standoff continued for another ten minutes. Exhausted from traveling for days and in urgent need of rest, the guest eventually gave up their demands and paid the 'company-mandated' deposit to check in. After entering the room, the guest noticed the alcoholic beverages provided (as shown in the picture), with prices ranging from hundreds for liquor to tens for soft drinks. It made them wonder if most guests actually have a demand for hundreds of yuan in alcohol consumption, and if the hotel's deposit policy was somehow related to these beverage costs. This experience at The Ritz-Carlton, Chengdu significantly diminished the guest's perception of the Ritz-Carlton brand. While the hotel's hardware was commendable and the room cleaning service satisfactory, the rude and uncivil behavior of the front desk staff was truly off-putting.

Staying at the Shangri-La was an amazing experience. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the hotel's unique signature fragrance, which was incredibly comforting. The front desk staff were warm and attentive; check-in was efficient and quick, and they thoughtfully upgraded me to an Executive Suite. The room was spacious and very comfortable to stay in. The hotel is located in a prime area, making it convenient to get around, yet it's far enough from the hustle and bustle of the city center that it was exceptionally quiet for a good night's sleep. The breakfast spread was rich and varied, and the view from the window was absolutely beautiful. Overall, my stay was perfect. The staff were all friendly and approachable, always smiling, and their gentle, enthusiastic, and thoughtful service made me feel incredibly welcome, as if I were right at home.

I recently stayed at the JW Marriott Chengdu, and I can honestly say it was one of the most memorable hotel experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I walked in, the warmth and professionalism of the staff made me feel like I was returning home, not just checking into a hotel. Every touchpoint—from the seamless check-in to the delightful breakfast service and the ever-smiling lobby staff—was filled with genuine care and attentiveness. It’s rare to find a team that consistently goes above and beyond, but the JW Marriott Chengdu truly embodies the spirit of heartfelt hospitality. What elevated our stay from wonderful to absolutely perfect was Xiaoxiao (小肖). Her communication was not only professional and timely but also incredibly detailed and caring. She took the time to understand our needs and thoughtfully coordinated every little detail to make our Mother’s Day trip smooth, stress-free, and unforgettable. Thanks to Xiaoxiao, my mother felt truly celebrated and cherished throughout our stay. This is actually the hotel I regularly stay at when I am in Chengdu, because of its central location. It never disappoints.

Woo... an absolutely fantastic stay at the upscale Joyhub Air Hotel! On April 20th, 2026, check-in was a breeze – quick, no deposit required, just a passport registration. The staff were super friendly and incredibly helpful. The location is excellent, and the room was spotless with a cozy duvet on the bed – everything I could ask for. The room itself was very spacious, offering a relaxing garden view outside, which I captured in many photos. After settling in, I explored the hotel's facilities, which were also stunning. I thoroughly enjoyed the buffet dinner; there was a huge variety of delicious food. I paid CNY 298 / RM 178 (for 2 people) in cash, as Alipay wasn't accepted. There weren't many tourists dining, and every dish was incredibly tasty. The next day, April 21st, I tidied up my room before checking out. I left the room at 4:45 AM and returned my key card at the reception, and check-out was also quick. It's about a 10-minute leisurely walk from the hotel to the airport terminal – you just cross a bridge to enter the airport. At the airport, female customs officers scan you before entry. The hotel is directly opposite Terminal 1. I would happily recommend this place to my family and friends. Joyhub Air Hotel (non-smoking rooms) Joyhub Cheer Hotel (smoking rooms) I took so many photos that I don't think Trip.com will let me share them all; Trip.com will select which photos to include with my review.

The hotel's location is excellent, just a kilometer from Taikoo Li, easily walkable. The free underground parking is very convenient. You can take the subway directly to the 33rd-floor front desk for check-in, and they even upgraded my room. My favorite part was the 7th-floor pool; the water temperature was comfortable, it wasn't crowded, and I could swim and work out both morning and evening. The breakfast had a great variety, the dining area was spacious, and the service was impeccable. The high-floor view was expansive, overlooking the Jinjiang River (including Jiuyan Bridge and Anshun Bridge), which was stunning in both the morning and at night. Overall, I was very satisfied with both the value for money and the comfort!

The new hotel had no formaldehyde smell, the rooms were large and beautifully decorated, and exceptionally clean. The bed wasn't the super soft type, and the pillows—one high and one low—were a thoughtful touch. Most importantly, being on the second floor, it was quiet at night, and I slept very well. The surrounding environment was great, perfect for taking photos, and the service was excellent. It's rare to find such a satisfying hotel.

The hotel is really close to the scenic area's entrance, which is super convenient. They let us store our luggage, and even after checking out, we could still relax in the lobby and have some tea, which was a nice touch. Breakfast was good. My only minor complaint is that the room felt a bit small, making the air feel a little stuffy. Other than that, everything else was fine.

My stay at The St. Regis Chengdu was a journey enveloped in warmth and delightful surprises. What touched me most was the St. Regis's signature butler service. The butler, keenly noticing we had a child with us, proactively and swiftly set up a bed rail in the room. This kind of thoughtful, forward-thinking care made us feel incredibly secure and at ease. Beyond that, we dined at the hotel's Chinese restaurant, 'Yan Ting,' for three consecutive evenings. Every meal was an ultimate culinary delight, with exquisite and heartwarming dishes that completely captured our hearts. From the reassuring comfort of our room to the captivating food, The St. Regis Chengdu provided us with an impeccable stay—not just a physical rest, but also a balm for the soul. Highly recommend, five stars!

GGuest UserThis is an older five-star hotel right by Tianfu Square, and because of that, the room amenities definitely show their age. Also, the room cleaning wasn't very thorough; there was visible dust in many places. The staff service was decent though; check-in and check-out were both quick and efficient.

JJoseatstheworldWhat made this Hyatt truly stand out was the warm and friendly staff, especially at the concierge and front desk. Interacting with them felt more like reuniting with old friends. If you're lucky enough to be assisted by their Experience Curator, Jasmine, your stay will be twice as wonderful. She's incredibly thoughtful and attentive, accurately anticipating my mood and needs, which made me feel very comfortable and special. The hotel's location is fantastic, right at the intersection of Metro Lines 2 and 8. There's a shopping mall downstairs and plenty of restaurants nearby. Taikoo Li is just a 10-minute walk away – super convenient! The in-room amenities and bedding are excellent and very tasteful. Besides a restaurant, there's also a rooftop bar. And if you don't feel like dining at the hotel, the mall downstairs has so many restaurants you could eat there for a week and not repeat a meal. I'll definitely be staying here again next time I'm in Chengdu! 💪🏻

GGuest UserA very peaceful stay with a beautiful view. Breakfast is included, which is a nice bonus. After check-in, the staff will drive you to your room by car since it’s a bit far from the main reception. If you need transport or a personal driver to travel around, you can also request it from the hotel before heading to Jiuzhaigou — they will provide a trusted contact so you’ll feel more secure. Overall, everything was good and perfect for a quiet, relaxing getaway.

GGuest UserThe hotel's overall environment design is excellent, with lush gardens and water features surrounding the rooms. A morning stroll is incredibly refreshing, and the ecosystem is thriving. Soaking in the hot springs while listening to birdsong is truly relaxing. Regarding the facilities, the rooms are clean and hygienic, with good quality bedding and towels. There's a wide selection of pillows, and the hot springs are radon-rich, leaving your skin feeling smooth – I heard it's great for your skin. There's also a fairly large play pool in the hot springs area that kept the kids entertained for ages, so much so that we didn't have time for any other activities. The breakfast quality is also very good. As for the service, a butler contacted me even before my arrival to ask about any special requests. The hotel's service is very flexible; they try their best to accommodate guests' needs and enhance their experience, as long as it doesn't disrupt hotel operations. Since fewer people were using the hot springs due to the hot weather, they upgraded my room and extended my check-out time, allowing me to enjoy a very comfortable soak.

XXiaoluThe hotel rooms are individual houses, each with a balcony offering a beautiful view of the distant snow-capped mountains, especially stunning when foggy in the mornings. The hotel grounds themselves are also lovely, perfect for a relaxing stroll. The natural environment is great too; I even saw some cute little birds. The hotel is located within the Jiuzhai Huamei Holy Land Resort area, with plenty of shops nearby, making it very convenient for shopping. Within the hotel, you get around by electric buggy. If you're coming from the high-speed train station, take the Jiuzhaigou bus and get off at the General Supermarket stop; the hotel can send an electric buggy to pick you up. Overall, getting around is very smooth. There's an in-house restaurant, a Western one, but I really didn't enjoy it – it was both expensive and not very tasty. However, you can go to the Chinese restaurant at the neighboring Hilton, and the hotel's electric buggy provides round-trip service, which is very convenient. What I was most satisfied with were the room facilities and the service. The Conrad bedding is the most comfortable I've ever slept on. I tend to be a light sleeper in new places, but I slept quite well here. The service was also excellent, not overly enthusiastic but very efficient.

JJourney90A family of 3, we brought our one-year-old baby on a trip to Chengdu. Initially, we chose to stay for 5 nights, but we extended our stay by another 3 nights! The hotel service was good, and the room was quite clean. In the room, they provided a baby cot and a high chair upon request. However, the high chair did not have a strap. The breakfast area also has baby high chairs. They come with straps, so they are baby-safe, and the chair has a table for babies to eat from. I enjoyed the breakfast a lot, mainly because there was a wide variety of baby-friendly food. On the same floor, they also have a baby-friendly kids’ playroom. We used it often during and after breakfast so that the parents could take turns eating. Haha. The staff were also helpful with general enquiries, Taobao deliveries and parcel returns. The location is strategic too. It is next to a mall full of food options, and there are also malls opposite the hotel for shopping. It only takes about 15 minutes to walk to Tianfu Square. Great for walk during springtime! We had a great stay and would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

There are several small pools for soaking, nothing fancy, but they have all the essentials. The strong sulfur smell suggests it's natural hot spring water. The breakfast selection was also decent. Service: The service attitude was excellent, the front desk lady even helped me with my luggage, thumbs up!

GGuest UserThis was a truly secure stay! The most impressive aspect was the hotel's shuttle service. They picked us up for check-in, took us to the attractions, and then brought us back to the hotel afterwards. When I felt unwell due to altitude sickness, they immediately arranged a transfer to the town hospital. Of course, all of this wouldn't have been possible without the excellent coordination of the butlers. I'm incredibly grateful to all the hotel staff. Despite their young faces and perhaps less 'seasoned' approach, they were still meticulous and accommodating, and their genuine sincerity was palpable. I've included a few photos of the hotel. Everything was simply wonderful. Wishing everyone safety and a better life ahead!

GGuest UserStaying at the Louis Castle Qingtong Hotel in Chengdu was an absolutely amazing experience, a perfect blend of French romance and luxurious comfort! 🏰 The hotel is located on Jiannan Avenue in Wuhou District, a 1:1 replica of the Palace of Fontainebleau in France, with its pure white carved exterior walls, spires, and courtyard fountains, instantly transporting you to a European palace. The lobby's domed ceiling, crystal chandeliers, and vintage oil paintings exude luxury, making every photo-op magazine-worthy. 🎉🥤 The rooms are spacious and elegant, featuring French arched designs paired with King Koil mattresses, soft and skin-friendly bedding, smart home controls, and a separate wet and dry bathroom – every detail meticulously thought out. The soundproofing is excellent, ensuring peace and quiet. The service is attentive and efficient; check-in at the front desk was quick, and the staff were warm, accommodating, and always ready to help. Breakfast offers a delightful mix of Chinese and Western options, with freshly baked bread and freshly prepared noodles among many delicious choices. 🎉🥤 Conveniently located yet tucked away from the hustle and bustle, the hotel is within walking distance of Jiaozi Park and the Twin Towers, and close to the subway, making travel easy. The 'castle' also houses restaurants offering hotpot and afternoon tea, creating a fantastic ambiance. It's perfect for vacations, romantic getaways, or business trips, and the value for money is incredible. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Chengdu! 🎉🎉🥤🥤
