Posted onAug 25, 2026|270-Degree Scenic View Double Bed Room - All-Inclusive
CNGuest User
The room was excellent, boasting a 270-degree view. A highlight was the perfectly angled air conditioning that didn't blow directly onto the bed. The TV mount was adjustable, and the balcony was spacious. However, with a 270-degree room, there didn't seem to be a full 'ring' view, so the scenery mainly consisted of other rooms and the outside, which was still quite good. A little tip: choose a room that faces the hotel's main entrance. You can watch the fireworks from the balcony at night, and it's just as good as watching from outside. The service was excellent, with staff being very friendly and patiently answering all our questions. The rooftop bar was great, and they were able to make drinks not on the menu – we ordered 'See You Tomorrow' drinks for both today and tomorrow. Now, for areas of improvement: Upon check-in, no one introduced us to the hotel's various amenities and benefits. In this regard, it falls short of Disney, where they explain everything you can enjoy during your stay. Here, I only found out about ice skating, roller skating, and playing Switch after seeing them. I even had to ask where the restaurants were, though I admit I didn't do my homework beforehand. Also, in the 270-degree room, all six lights could only be fully on or fully off, which is inconvenient. Many families with children stay in these rooms, and it's common for adults to need to pack or get ready while the child sleeps. It would be better if the three lights near the bed could be turned off while the sofa area lights remained on. Furthermore, the second lamp by the bed, designed for aesthetics, was too low; I bumped into it when getting up in the middle of the night (there will be a photo). Finally, considering the significant price difference between room types, and the different colored wristbands (I'm not sure if they indicate length of stay or room type), I suggest further segmenting the privileges. For instance, restaurant seating is truly a scramble, and advantages for things like the Yuesha Island mini-train queue could be granted to certain room types.

Cleanliness: Even though it's an older, established Chinese brand hotel, the cleanliness has always been exceptionally well-maintained. The room was full of thoughtful touches; as soon as I entered, I noticed the turndown service with milk 🥛, which immediately made a great impression. Service: The service was exceptionally gentle and friendly, truly making guests feel at home. When the security staff needed to move my car, they were also very polite and courteous, not making me feel uncomfortable at all. This hotel truly exceeded my expectations. Next time I'm in Hohhot, I'll definitely stay here again!

The breakfast and Horizon Club offerings were extensive, featuring specialties like 'jianbing guozi' (savory crepes), special milk tea, and lamb 'shaomai' (dumplings). The Shang Palace restaurant had good food. However, the room was extremely small; there wasn't even enough space to walk around once my suitcase was open. The lobby, on the other hand, was very luxurious and grand. The service from the Horizon Club staff was mediocre. During peak dining hours, they allowed customers to block off tables without actually occupying them, preventing new arrivals from sitting down. This is no different from someone using their body to save a parking spot, and it needs further staff training.

1: The beef jerky and instant noodles had no prices marked. Don't assume they are complimentary from the hotel. 2: I informed them of my license plate number during check-in, but still had to pay when exiting the parking garage. I had to call the front desk again for them to let me out. 3: I brought two children under 1.2 meters. They were really strict about checking for breakfast, making me go to the front desk to confirm I didn't have breakfast included. 4: When checking out, they gave me a 'Shishiruyi' (Everything goes as you wish) keychain. You're a five-star hotel. You don't have to give anything, but to give out something that looks like it's from a street stall... Summary: It feels like a business hotel. It only caters to high-end business travelers, and families like ours with kids don't seem to be the right fit.

This hotel in Ordos exceeded my expectations! The lobby is grand, and the room is spacious and bright, with comfortable bedding that guaranteed a good night's sleep. The breakfast offers a wide variety, with the Mongolian milk tea and dairy products being particularly unique. The staff were warm and attentive, proactively recommending local attractions. The location is convenient, making it easy to drive or take a taxi to Genghis Khan Mausoleum and Xiangshawan Desert. Good value for money, I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit.

Highly recommend! This was my first time in Hohhot, and I came specifically for Zhou Shen's concert. Upon check-in, they gave me so much merchandise: two beautiful Keke Mongolian robes, a stack of transparent cards, and a great energy pack. The hotel's facilities are super new, and breakfast was also excellent. It's very close to the Inner Mongolia Museum and the airport. Due to my tight schedule, I only managed to visit the Chifeng Grassland. I'll have to come back another time to explore other grasslands, and when I do, I'll definitely stay here again!

Traveling with my child during the summer for the first time in Inner Mongolia, I unexpectedly had to work overtime, pulling all-nighters and dealing with travel fatigue, which led to a bout of acute enteritis. Thankfully, I chose this hotel. Both the facilities and services are excellent, especially the staff – they are incredibly thoughtful and enthusiastic. They truly consider guests' needs, from recommending dining and entertainment to helping with extending my stay, it was very comforting. The room was also very comfortable; my child and I slept until almost noon, getting some much-needed rest. Thumbs up! 👍

Facilities: Although a bit dated, they are well-maintained. Sheraton used to be a guarantee of quality. Hygiene: Decent enough. Environment: This was a bit disappointing. After reading reviews for hotels in Hohhot, many mentioned strong cigarette smells, so I specifically asked Ctrip to arrange a non-smoking room before arriving. Upon check-in, I asked the front desk if it was a non-smoking room, and the young lady immediately said, without hesitation, that all their rooms were non-smoking. After a long journey, I thought I could finally relax. Unfortunately, as soon as I entered the room, a strong smell of smoke hit me. The frustration I felt at that moment! 💢 I immediately contacted the front desk to see if I could change rooms, and again, without hesitation, they said there were no rooms available. It was only after I contacted Ctrip that they said a change could be arranged. But I had already unpacked my luggage and didn't want to bother with moving again. I'm very grateful to the bellboy who helped with my luggage and accompanied me to see a room on the 16th floor. Honestly, I didn't want to trouble the cleaning staff to clean again 🧹. If the hotel had carefully considered the guest's needs from the beginning, all this hassle could have been avoided. Service: The service was satisfactory. The charging stations outside the hotel entrance are also convenient for electric car owners to recharge. Little horse doll (random color): Brown 🐎

My recent stay at the Howard Johnson Plaza Erdos (Civic Center Branch) for my trip to Ordos far exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend it. The hotel is conveniently located near the Civic Center, making it easy to get around for appointments. The surrounding area is quiet and clean, offering a peaceful retreat in the midst of the city, ensuring a good night's sleep. The lobby boasts an elegant and grand design, and the staff were incredibly warm and attentive. From check-in to check-out, the process was efficient and smooth. Any requests were handled promptly, which made for a very comfortable experience. The room itself was spacious and well-designed, with good natural light and ventilation. The bedding was soft and comfortable, leading to an excellent night's sleep. The bathroom was clean and odor-free, with stable hot water and a full range of toiletries. The facilities were well-maintained; the air conditioning and internet worked perfectly, showing great attention to detail. The breakfast spread was extensive, a mix of Chinese and Western options, with fresh ingredients and delicious flavors, catering to various tastes. The hotel as a whole was spotlessly clean, and the soundproofing was excellent. The value for money is top-notch in the area. It's an ideal choice for both business travelers and families. The service, environment, and comfort all met my satisfaction, and I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Ordos.

Coming to Ordos to see a play, I chose this renowned five-star hotel, and I truly felt it was worth the trip. The room was very spacious, and the view outside the window was absolutely beautiful, with a seating area perfect for a short rest. The long table under the TV was also very convenient to use. The yurt-style canopy over the bed immediately gave it a strong sense of ethnic and regional charm. It’s also worth mentioning that they provided welcome fruits and a souvenir gift. The breakfast restaurant is on the 2nd floor and can accommodate many people dining at once, so there's no waiting for a table. Breakfast was incredibly rich and varied, with many Inner Mongolian regional specialties like milk tea and meat shaomai. The taste was authentic, allowing me to enjoy breakfast while also experiencing the unique culture of Inner Mongolia. I would definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit.
