This stay didn't disappoint either. The staff were friendly and handled requests quickly, making for a very smooth check-in experience. From the front desk service to the room's cleanliness and the overall environment, everything felt comfortable and reassuring. The location is convenient and the price is reasonable. Every time I stay here, I can count on consistent quality. It's definitely a hotel I'll choose again in the future.

This is my 5th? 6th? time staying at Atelier. They are my top choice as I always have business at Pelangi. This time, I tried booking the Junior Suite, an upgrade from my usual SQ/SK option. Specially for their bathtub as I needed a nice mental break. However, I noticed the bathtub does not even fill. It drains as quickly as it fills so that not only waste a lot of water, it doesn't even fill beyond 10cm of water. It was such a shame I looked forward to enjoying this amenity. The toilet drains really slowly also at one point I panicked because i thought it will flood. All other amenities were amazing. Aircon, bed, tv, perfect. I had an amazing stay I didn't want to go out after my business appointment. I just stayed in and ordered takeout meals. I love Atelier!!! Please consider fixing the bathtub plug so will waste less water and enhance bathtub experience.

The location is excellent. Near supermarket and restauranta. So convenient and close to everything I needed, The room was clean but its quite small. Friendly staff and you can do your self check in. So easy. Considering the very reasonable rate, this hotel offers great value for money.

Clean room and good location. Can walk anywhere and lots of shops around. Good sound insulation from human neighbours. Birds outside is cute but need to get used to bird chirping and road sound.

This hotel is great, conveniently located near R&F and the JB immigration office, as well as JB Station. It's also easy to find food nearby. However, the hotel's current name isn't yet discoverable on maps. So, if you're using Grab or setting your destination, you'll need to use the old hotel name: Fives Hotel Meldrum. That name is accurate on location maps. If you search for the current hotel name, the address isn't correct. So, please use the old hotel name, Fives Hotel Meldrum. Hopefully, the name and address will be updated to match soon, to make it easier to find.

The room was very clean, and the owner's design was thoughtful. They even had an electric mosquito repellent device outside the room (though I still recommend bringing an extra one, as I did encounter some mosquitoes). You can tell if the bathroom is occupied by the light. If you're taking a taxi, the location might feel a bit remote, but there's actually a gas station with a convenience store just a short walk away. Considering the low price, this is truly excellent. However, there are a few things to note: doing laundry costs 7 MYR per cycle, and air conditioning is 13 MYR per day. Also, since the entire building is single-story, there's still a possibility of encountering small insects like ants in the room.

The place is okay and surrounded by small shops. I also enjoyed going to Aeon Mall to buy some gifts. The only downsides were that there was no hairdryer and I could hear noise from the adjacent rooms. Overall, it's nice, but I was hoping for more consideration. At this price, it doesn't seem too cheap, and JB might be a better choice.

The hotel staff are friendly and ready to attend to your request. The room has aircon and instant water heater for shower. There is WiFi in the room. It provides kettle, ironing board and iron, shampoo and bath soap, small fridge and bath towels. Complimentary tea and coffee and bottled water daily. The window has blackout curtain as well as a day curtain for extra sunlight into the room. Seating area, big mirror and dressing table, TV, side table and lamp. I like it that the room is spacious and water pressure is good. It provides Muslim prayer mat and Quran translation in the room. Hang the card at your door if you want the room to be cleaned. Short walk to Larkin bus terminal and eateries and shops. For those who drive, there is parking space within the hotel.

The hotel's location is pretty good. From the Johor Bahru CIQ exit, you can follow the connecting bridge all the way to R&F Mall, and the hotel is nearby. Google Maps' directions aren't great; it's easier to come out from R&F Mall, pass Da Shanghai Dim Sum and Jaya Supermarket, then cross the road to reach the hotel. Plus, there's an elevator, which is convenient for travelers with luggage. The hotel's hygiene is good; it's quite clean. Check-in is done via machine, which is very simple. The dormitory rooms don't have air conditioning, and you can't open the windows, so you rely on a fan for cooling. It was fine in May, but in August, it would definitely be a bit uncomfortable. Otherwise, everything else is completely worth the price. It's suitable for those traveling to Singapore and staying in Johor Bahru. I would stay here again next time, and I hope the dormitory rooms will have air conditioning then.
