We just passed two great nights in this lovely hotel in the heart of Mount Fuji. I highly recommend coming here, specially if you love Vietnamese food like me haha. The rooms are big with a good size balcony (unusual in Japan) the amenities are excellent, the bath is big and very functional and the staff is very nice The location is perfect with just 14 minutes walking from the station and just 10 minutes away from a big shopping mall, supermarkets at just 4 minutes and obviously Mount Fuji just in front of you, everybody wants to wake up with Fuji-San and a coffee. Also very family friendly from what I saw with multiple families with kids.

The environment is clean, and the service attitude is great. The owner is very kind; they upgraded me from a quad room to a single room. Plus, you can rent bicycles, which is super convenient.

Good - The cabins are well insulated for weather & noise. Well appointed with pyjamas, towels, various bathroom supplies (extra can be obtained from snack room) complimentary noodles or frozen meals & bottled water/beer. The beds were soft & comfortable. The cabins were spotless.Equiped with a/c, air purifier & fan heater. In a quiet area of the neighbourhood. Great view of Mt Fuji from the rooftop balcony. Short walk to restaurants & 7/11. Average - I had difficulty completing the pre arrival registration however the staff quickly responded to emails helping me through the process. There are e-bikes & scooters for hire onsite. But you must have access to a Japanese phone number to register the app to hire them. Tourist Sim & pocket wifi don't allow a phone number it is data only. Bad - it is further away from the train station than shown on Google maps - allow 1.6klm to either Fujisan or Fuji-Q stations. The carpark is dirt. The cars or wind make a lot of dust. When raining or wet the dirt turns muddy making your shoes & suitcase dirty.

The lady boss is friendly and speaks good english. Our room is on the 2nd floor. When we opened our window we could see Mt Fuji, how nice! There are yukata clothes and green tea set for us. We used the shared bathroom on the same level and went to the top floor for hot spring bath (men and women separated places). Note that there is no lift. There are table tennis and board games on the basement. It is very convenient to have lawson (5 min away, many ppl take photo) and eating places nearby and walkable 12mins to the lake. We paid 750yen each and had our western breakfast at the restaurant below., good coffee, see picture. The location is excellently convenient 2 mins to kawaguchiko Station and bus station. I recommend it!

The room is very old and it is a hotel run by an old lady. Entering it feels like traveling back to the Japanese dramas of the 80s and 90s! The room has a view of Mount Fuji! The rooms are actually as clean as those of an ordinary home, and the public baths use hot spring water. Normally there aren't that many people staying in the hotel. You can take showers at off-peak hours and still enjoy a large bathroom all to yourself. There are several toilets on both floors. There is no need to worry about fighting for the toilet. The hotel is less than 10 minutes' walk from Lake Kawaguchi. It can be said to be very friendly. It is recommended that those who want to experience an authentic Japanese-style hotel can try it. The hotel has free wifi and air conditioning. There is a private car shuttle to Kawaguchiko Station every morning at 8:30 and 9 o'clock. If you miss it, you can take a bus nearby and walk to Kawaguchiko Station, which takes about 20 minutes.

Even though it's a ryokan-style hotel, the private room was quite large and spacious. It had its own bathroom and sink inside the room. The bedding was a futon on the floor, and yukata robes were provided. The shared bathrooms, separated by gender, were outside the room. They were large enough for 3-4 people to shower at once and could be locked. There was also a large soaking tub in the bathroom. But the view of Mount Fuji? Absolutely unbeatable! Especially in the morning with the golden light, Fuji-san looked incredibly beautiful.

It was an incredible stay. The staff were very kind and welcoming. They offer pick-up and drop-off from the nearest station, which makes getting there very convenient, and it’s easy to rent a bicycle to explore the area. The town itself is quite quiet at night with not much to do, but during the day you can walk around or rent a bike to visit nearby places. Overall, I definitely recommend staying here.

Although the facilities are old, the sanitation is very clean. There is a young man and two older men at the front desk who are very enthusiastic. One of them wears glasses and speaks English. It is only 1 minute away from Asahigaoka Station, with convenient transportation. There is a convenience store in 2 minutes on foot and the lake in 3 minutes on foot. However, there are almost no restaurants nearby. There is a Fujiwara Izakaya, which is best booked in advance during the peak season. The hotel has a bathhouse, which is not big, but very comfortable. There was basically no one on the second day of my stay, so it can be considered a private bath. The hotel has a curry dinner in the shape of Mount Fuji, but you have to wait for 20 minutes. The breakfast is raw egg rice and miso soup. Because I was going to participate in the marathon, the hotel decided to provide free dinner that day and breakfast the next day.

It's has very cosy feel local Japanese Ryokan(BB) style and we love it. Not luxury, not to expensive but suitable if you looking for Ryokan in Fuji Mt. area. Included nice easy breakfast, not big for Americans but it's delicious. The location is not recommend for walking to, if you drive a car it will be perfect (free parking) Some may say it looks old, but to me I would say it looks vintage and classic you couldn't find in the city. *Only 10mins drive to famous cafe”paper moon”

SspicaningAbsolutely, absolutely, absolutely loved it! We were the only guests that night, so we had the whole villa to ourselves. Grandma drove to pick us up and took us to the Kaba bus stop, and when we found out there were no tickets, she drove us to a restaurant instead. Later that night, feeling a bit scared of the dark, we asked her to pick us up again. When we got back, our luggage was already in the room, the beds were made, and the bath was filled with hot water. Grandpa gave us a detailed tour of the room's amenities and shared many stories about photographing Mount Fuji. He even offered to take us to a viewpoint in the morning if the weather was clear. Although it rained too heavily to see the mountain, we slept wonderfully and enjoyed a comfortable soak in the hot spring. In the morning, Grandma prepared a delicious Western-style breakfast from scratch. The scrambled eggs were made with milk, and the yogurt came with homemade strawberry jam. We were so full we could barely move! Eating breakfast amidst the fog, accompanied by music from a music box, was incredibly relaxing. Grandpa, seeing that we couldn't see Mount Fuji, suggested we go to the museum for the VR experience and drove us there. The VR was totally worth it! We'll definitely come back to Lake Yamanaka next time we have a chance. Ten stars! The entire house was super clean, with so many lovely little details. Room 207 has the best view, though the only minor drawback is the shared bathroom, which might be a slight inconvenience if there are many guests.

PPpemikaI arrived late at night from Fuji Station and had to pay 3,700 yen for a taxi. I was surprised when I got there because the house was located on a hill and the road was very dark. I asked the taxi driver to wait while I walked down to check. Luckily, the lights were on and I found the host waiting to welcome us warmly, even though it was already late. Owner had already prepared hot water and asked what time we would like to take a bath. She even guided us to a small onsen. The host was very attentive and kind. Although the place looked a bit scary at night from the outside, the inside was very warm and cozy. When I woke up the next morning, I felt completely rested. The room was clean, and the host’s hospitality made the whole experience feel so worthwhile. I felt like the money I spent was totally worth it—it gave me not only comfort but also beautiful memories. The atmosphere was like staying in a countryside vacation home—quiet, peaceful, and heartwarming. If you’re planning to rent a car, this is definitely a place I’d recommend. There’s a parking space, and it’s not crowded at all. I truly want to recommend this place!

MMilo013The old gentleman at the reception was very kind and sweet. We figured he was the owner. He only waits until 10 PM, then he goes to bed to rest. The hotel closes at 10 PM and reopens at 6 AM, so make sure to arrange your arrival/departure times beforehand if you need to come and go between those hours. We couldn't use the bathhouse. The room was really nice, with clean tatami mats, comfortable and warm futons, and clean, soft blankets. Each floor has a hot water dispenser, cups, and a trash can. The atmosphere is very pleasant, we recommend it!

EEmmanuel chan 8One of the characteristics of a traditional hot spring hotel is that the shower time is from 4 to 9 o'clock. If you don't pay attention, it will be awkward. Among other things, the food is quite good and relatively average, but it is more difficult to communicate. The hotel is relatively remote and there is no shuttle, but it is probably one of the hotels closest to Lake Kawaguchi. You can walk to Lake Kawaguchi in 3 minutes. The scenery is beautiful and you can see Mount Fuji directly. He has special red slippers, they are so special There is a convenience store across the road, how convenient is it? If you have a car, there will be no problem. If you don’t have a car, there will be some inconvenience.

SSam SentshiHuge thanks to the incredibly hospitable owner! This guesthouse isn't too far from Lake Kawaguchiko or the train station. There's a 7-Eleven nearby and also a ramen shop (though it's always packed). The room was clean and tidy, and the AC worked great. Everyone staying here was really friendly. Love & Peace!

GGuest UserAn excellent experience! The environment is elegant and comfortable, and the guests are all high-quality. There's an open kitchen with great hygiene. Coffee is available daily from 8 AM to 10 AM, and other teas are self-service 24 hours a day. Guests can prepare their own meals here, and everyone is very considerate about washing and returning used utensils. The water pressure is strong, and there's plenty of hot water. The toilets are fully automated. You must change into slippers upon entering. The common areas are quiet, and people rarely speak loudly. The front desk lady, who is *********, speaks Mandarin and is very professional, friendly, and attentive. There are large and small supermarkets nearby, making it very convenient to buy food and other necessities. Bicycles are also available for rent.
