The room is big with all the amenities. Our room is facing the sea, we were able to see the sun rise, super gorgeous! The onsen is also great, free for us, and it is open to the public with surcharge. The hostel location is 10/10, close to the Aoshima island, and there is a big park nearby! We enjoyed our stay.

The service staff is friendly and the breakfast is rich and delicious. It is a very Japanese-style hotel, so there is no bathroom in the room, and you have to go to the public bath to take a bath. Takachiho is a small village, and the shops on the street close very early at night. You can walk to the shrine to watch the famous Yokagura, which is worth seeing.

Perfect for Families - Spacious and Comfortable! We stayed in the residence-type room and it was perfect for our family trip. The room was very big, giving everyone plenty of space, and it felt more like an apartment than a standard hotel room. It was clean, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. Amazing view and quiet. Super clean and well managed. Feels like camping with a real bed. Or a retreat. Bathroom is shared but extremely clean. I thought it would be more noisy on weekends but surprisingly it wasn't. If you are walking it's an hour away from the JR station. Food options are rare closeby, but you can use a fridge and microwave.

Yunomoto Onsen has everything a Ryokan offered. The staff try their best to explain to us in English. The Kaiseki Dinner and Breakfast was very good.

You check in at the office and get assigned a cabin in the complex. The roads look a bit tight but you can get to them in a small car and careful driving. Got given a discount ticket to a nearby local bath which was nice. Great view from the cabin I had.

The service was good; one of the receptionists spoke English. The rooms were very clean. The only downside was having to leave the key at the front desk when leaving was a bit inconvenient. The breakfast was decent.

You get to experience a tatami room here. I'm not sure about the soundproofing; the rooms are separated by just one wooden door. If you're looking for a room like those in Japanese dramas, this is it. It's a bit old, but it feels like visiting grandma's house. However, since it's a tatami room, it's a bit cold. Maybe that's why they provided thick blankets, and with those, sleeping wasn't an issue! Oh, and the bathroom only had hand soap and shampoo! I brought my own, so I didn't ask for more, so I'm not sure if there usually isn't anything else.
