The staff were all very nice, good, n professional. They never missed to wish me good morning, thank you, and good night everyday. The staff also kept saying sorry sorry sorry when i came earlier than check in time. The hotel was very clean, complete amenities, and located in a quite strategic location. I will ever miss Sapporo and hotel Hashimoto forever. Terima kasih from Malaysia.

There's a pub on the first floor, and the sign at the entrance says ”Sapporo Lodge,” so they'll guide you there. They're super friendly, and you can stay on the second floor! There's no elevator, so carrying a large suitcase might be a bit difficult! Also, the bathroom and shower are on the first floor, so it's a bit tricky because the store is open until 1:00 AM, but I think it'll be fine for those who want to shower outside of store hours :) It was fun to experience a warm and new kind of accommodation. I'd love to stay here again!
Very cute family-style small hotel, very close to the JR station, thanks to the previous review to know the elevator location. The room is actually much better than the picture, typical Japanese family hotel, clean and warm. Breakfast is coffee milk toast and eggs, milk is very good. The old man's English is very good and communication is no problem. We went after breakfast time on the first morning, and I am very sorry ~
This is a youth travel that is not large in scale, mainly closed bunk beds, very clean, everyone has a small table for easy writing, if you need to borrow a folding stool from the outside, the facilities are still very complete.
The service was very warm. I didn't speak Japanese. I also talked a lot with people with the translation software. The eldest sister at the front desk once taught bead calculations. I loved playing table tennis in my amateurs, haha. The next day, the eldest brother drove to the travel destination, thank you very much.
Continue to stay next time, it is necessary.
Guest house Hakodate Bay is super nice and well located it’s an easy walk over to the train station and the owner is super kind and friendly, he’ll even give some really good restaurant recommendations the rooms are a bit packed but well worth it. I highly recommend it for those on the go solo travelers, and if you’re a huge one piece fan there’s a picture frame in the stairwell that has a one piece puzzle fully put together and framed.

The location is fantastic! It's super close to the subway station. The front desk staff were really welcoming, and the lounge area is quite spacious with good facilities. The only downside is that the multi-person dorm room is too small; there's hardly any space to open your luggage if you have a lot of bags. It feels very cramped.
The counter staff is very polite, you can send it early, the room is very clean, this family is very good, except that it is a bit far from today, there is no problem, there is also a supermarket nearby

Despite having only stayed one night, this place surprised me. Not only is the front desk available 24 hours, they are also friendly and able to help. I found the individual beds itself were spacious enough and they also had so many beds available, you had no need to worry for it being overcrowded or worry about noise. Each floor was equipped with enough toilets and showers and they were all super clean and fully stocked with soap and even disposable toothbrushes and shavers for you to use. Onsen was also available and open from early to late night. They even had a gym and sauna! Washers and dryers were also available to use but at an additional cost.
Would recommend it for individual travellers staying for short periods (1-3/4 days)
Need to walk around 20 minutes from Sapporo station. Hard to find since there is no sign or poster on the entry writing hostel . Rather cafe , after going 3 times round the block I finally read in small print ten to ten .
10 minutes away from any seven eleven or family mart, 30 minutes away from Ōdōri park , I found the location to be not ideal . On their website they write they have a laundromat , which is wrong . No washing machine , I find it disappointing in Japan where every hostels or hotels have one . The lady at the desk told me to go and wash clothes is quite far . Also don’t believe the photos on their website or promotions pictures . There is no park down the building . It’s a small hostel in a small street isolated from the rest of the neighborhood.
For the hostel itself , classic , nothing to say except some of the curtains on their bed don’t close properly , the bed is very comfortable , bathroom clean and you can change towels every day . Breakfast is for free every morning at 8 and it is a coffee and a small bread . Still delicious . Staff is not always on the premises, morning and evening .
In a nutshell. Was good for a short stay but will definitely look for another one with better equipment ( laundromat ) and better location ( closer to a family mart ) next time .
Thank you so much our hostess who was so friendly helping us carrying luggage, making local calls and with everything. ほんとにありがとうございました。

エエゾシカ伝道師The staff at the inn were warm and moderate, and I was very comfortable.
While there were many non-smoking rooms, the companion who was a smoker was very happy.
In addition, the correspondence of the odor remaining in the room is also firm, and I think it can be comfortable.
It's a hot spring, but you can get the power of the source.
It is a hot spring of great satisfaction!

GGuest UserAs a ryokan I believe is run by a family, you would expect they will by offering good service rather than lots of facilities. This is exactly the case. I want to commend the owner, Mr. Tsuchiya, because without his help, my excursion to Lake Toyoni would not be as smooth. After discussing my concerns in the risk of missing the bus on the way back, he agreed to drive me to Lake Toyoni early in the morning, so I would have plenty of time to spend at Lake Toyoni, and minimized the chance I would miss the only scheduled bus back. Indeed, I did get to the bus stop ahead of time and caught the bus. I bought some snacks from a local bakery for his help. Not sure if he liked it or not, but hopefully yes.
In terms of facilities, I was surprised to find there is an onsen there. To be honest, it's more like a hot bath, but that is still nice to have. Also, you will have to drag your luggage to 2nd floor, as obviously, there won't be an elevator. The only complaint I would have is the wifi, which is dodgy at best. Just continue to use your own data if you want to avoid frustrations.
Cleanliness is ok, given only three people run the whole place, including cleaning and cooking. Bathrooms are shared, and I have no problem with the cleanliness. The place is old, so don't expect too much.
In summary, their service is top-notch; everything else is what you would expect of a ryokan.
AAnonymous UserIt's a self check in hostel but the check in procedure is easy to understand after reading carefully the email upon booking confirmation. Our room is bunk beds type with private toilet and bathroom, the water pressure is awesome. The overall cleanliness is great. There are a lot paid parking areas nearby, I believe the nearest opposite one is the cheapest. So sad that we didn't manage to find any cutlery in the common area that we couldn't have our hot cup noodles. Deodorize spray is provided and air purifier humidifier is also provided in the room. It's a plus plus plus that the charging ports are everywhere near the each bed.
11866879****Very, very satisfied with a family of four. The room was clean, tidy and comfortable. We stayed in hotels all the way. Although there were three beds, it was still crowded. When we came here, everyone had a separate bed and the quality of the bed was also very good. It was the first time for two children to stay here. I am very happy about the youth hostel. The distance between people here is very close. There is 7 Eleven across the street. I can buy a bunch of meals from the supermarket and heat them in the kitchen. It is not great and save a lot of money. We used to have thousands of Chinese dinners every day. A family of four has decided to stay in a youth hostel from now on, haha

GGuest UserIt's really good. I highly recommend this hotel. It's a 2-minute walk from the ski resort. It's very clean and new. The breakfast is very warm. I can really stay here again for one night.
VVSTExtremely great stay! We stayed here for five nights. We would highly recommend Plat hostel Keikyu to all friends and family members. It's so clean and comfortable. We booked a twin bed room and we slept soundly throughout the five nights because it's quiet and pleasant. It is also located nearby Hosui Susukino subway station, yes, 150m away and just two minutes walk. Easy and convenient to explore Susukino as well as other attractions in Sapporo.
This hostel also has a clean and well-equipped kitchen and dining area for in-house guests.
The counter staff are all friendly and helpful, too.
If we come again, we will definitely choose to stay here again.
Thank you very much.
GGuest UserCan not beat this location for this price. Stayed here 2 out of 3 trips to Niseko, and the only trip we didn't was because they had not reopened post covid when we booked. That trip was tough for us to carry all ski/snow equipment and lug a toddler around. This place, even without ski-in/out anymore is still super accessible to the slopes behind. Short walk down the hill, cut right between some buildings at you're at the foot of the hill with ski shops, schools and lifts.
There's a large convenience store that sells toiletries, bentos, snacks and a huge range of wines just across the street. Next to that is a very popular ramen shop with a 2-3 hour wait time. It works for us because we head there after the slopes, get a queue number, head back to the hotel to sit in front of the wood fireplace, have a shower, take a nap even then head back just in time for our queue number to be called. Couldn't ask for more.
O yes, the traditional wood fireplace is just amazing too.
WWanLing1005I had a wonderful stay at Pension Setsurin! The tatami room was an amazing and authentic experience, making my trip truly special. The host was incredibly kind and thoughtful, even asking about food sensitivities to accommodate my breakfast, which I really appreciated.
The breakfast is definitely worth trying—it’s rich, diverse, and full of traditional Japanese flavors. There’s even anime playing during breakfast, which adds a fun cultural touch to the experience.
All toiletries were fully provided, so I didn’t need to bring anything extra. I stayed on the second floor, so just keep in mind you’ll need to carry your luggage upstairs.
A special thank you to the host for going the extra mile—when I checked out, they even helped clear the snow off my car, which was such a kind and thoughtful gesture. I highly recommend Pension Setsurin for anyone looking for a warm and authentic stay!
GGuest UserLocation is great. Close to nakajjma koen subway, 3 stops away from sapporo station subway. From airport, if by bus, there is airport bus that requires additional 13 minutes walk from bus stop to hotel. Definitely not recommended for those with heavy luggage with slippery/thick snow, to walk that far. It feels like 1 hour and risk of falling.
Lawson is just at the corner.
Checked in using code given, self service.
Communication F2F was tricky, as using lots of google translate.Messages through tips, take a while for them to reply.
Microwave at lobby and level 2.
Extra amenities can pick up by yourself at lobby (hair brush, towels, razor, cotton buds)
Washing machine at level 2 (5 kg load - 300 yen for 30 min), but dryer not working at all (100 yen for 30 min)
Overall, if you just need place to sleep, not too fancy, this is great place to stay
