The hotel's location is great, about a 10-minute walk from Susukino subway station. The front desk is on the 8th floor. There's a strange smell in the elevator and on the 8th floor near the reception, possibly because guests have to take off their shoes, which might contribute to an unpleasant odor. Every night before bed, I enjoyed a hot spring bath, which was absolutely wonderful! Thumbs up!

The three of us stayed in a quad room with bunk beds. It was a bit small, but the beds were large and very comfortable, similar to what you'd find in a YHA, making it great for families and friends traveling together. The common areas were a real highlight; I enjoyed sitting there alone for a while when I couldn't sleep, sipping tea or coffee – it was lovely. Excellent value for money, perfect for budget-conscious travelers.
There was an issue with my capsule hotel booking, and to top it off, Sapporo experienced heavy snowfall, causing the JR airport line to shut down. By the time I finally made it to the city center, the subway and buses had stopped running. Luckily, I spontaneously booked this place, and it's within walking distance of Sapporo JR Station. Given the price, I didn't have high expectations. I just pulled the curtain, put in my earplugs, and slept soundly until morning. It's a decent option for a solo traveler needing a last-minute overnight stay.

This hotel is excellent overall, with a superb location just a 4-minute walk from Susukino subway station. All facilities and services are satisfying, and the environment is exceptionally clean. The hotel features separate floors for men and women (including separate elevators and floors), significantly enhancing privacy and safety. The self-check-in system is also very convenient, minimizing unnecessary human contact. ☃️
The hotel provides disposable slippers daily. Although there's no daily room cleaning service, it doesn't affect the overall experience at all. I stayed in a deluxe room on the 7th floor. Guests on this floor are generally very considerate, always tidying up after using public facilities, making the entire floor feel clean and comfortable. The bed in the deluxe room is spacious and can comfortably accommodate two people.
The only minor drawback is that you have to continuously press a button to keep the shower running; it doesn't provide continuous water flow once turned on. You need to press it every few tens of seconds, which is a bit inconvenient. 🥹

There was a fine layer of black dust on the duvet, but the bedsheets underneath were quite clean. The location is excellent, right next to Tanukikoji Shopping Street and Sapporo TV Tower. The public bath feels a bit dated, and the towel on the floor by the entrance was a little damp. Overall, it's decent for the price.
The hotel's location is excellent, right next to a subway station 🚉, and there's a Lawson convenience store downstairs. For dining, you can walk all the way to Susukino. Nakajima Park, which is beautiful in winter, is also nearby.
However, the room had a strange smell. When I reported it, they wouldn't let me check out, so I was stuck with the smell for two days. Ctrip's mediation service was very helpful, but the hotel's response was just unbelievable.
Checked in on their official opening day and was treated with some surprises. Overall the hotel was great. Uses self check-in which for foreigners, actually still need some helps. Room is spacious, and amenities are good. multiple AC outlets and USB C charging ports available in the room. Something that is hard to get in most hotels, and its great when you have 2 persons in the room needing to charge all their digital gadgets.
only gripe is toilet partition is wood and when some one poops at night and draws the toilet paper, it makes a booming thunderous noise that can be heard outside the room and wakes up light sleepers 😜
Breakfast is great though a bit pricey. But the settings in dining is comfortable with Japanese books to browse.

This was probably the best value hotel on our trip from northern Japan to Tokyo. Everything was clean and tidy, the beds were large and comfortable, and the room was spacious. The lobby was cozy and comfortable, with board games and a bar.
Breakfast isn't a buffet—you get a fried egg and bacon sandwich, a light salad, and a drink. It was rather small, but still better than the buffets at some other hotels.
I'd happily stay here again if I'm ever in Sapporo again.

It was getting late so I decided to stay at the Susukino. I was impressed with how clean and well-equipped the capsule hotel was. For breakfast I went to the Route Inn, which is part of the same chain, and it was delicious and satisfying. I think I'll use it again.
This is a youth travel that is not large in scale, mainly closed bunk beds, very clean, everyone has a small table for easy writing, if you need to borrow a folding stool from the outside, the facilities are still very complete.
The service was very warm. I didn't speak Japanese. I also talked a lot with people with the translation software. The eldest sister at the front desk once taught bead calculations. I loved playing table tennis in my amateurs, haha. The next day, the eldest brother drove to the travel destination, thank you very much.
Continue to stay next time, it is necessary.

Very Good
นนักเดินทางอินโทรเวิร์ตThe accommodation is much better than I thought. We went in the winter and the snow was really thick. The villa has 2 floors. The ground floor has a kitchen, a dining area, and a backyard area. The upper floor is a bedroom with a large window for sleeping and watching the snow. If you go in the winter, you have to push your luggage in a cart yourself. It's fun. The atmosphere around the accommodation is good, but it's more suitable for people with cars because it's quite far from the city.
エエゾシカ伝道師The staff at the inn were warm and moderate, and I was very comfortable.
While there were many non-smoking rooms, the companion who was a smoker was very happy.
In addition, the correspondence of the odor remaining in the room is also firm, and I think it can be comfortable.
It's a hot spring, but you can get the power of the source.
It is a hot spring of great satisfaction!
I want to enter again ♪
YYEN SINThe house design is beautiful, but the location is a bit far unless you have a car. The guesthouse serves food, and you can mingle with other guests. You can also play with the cats, though be careful with the three-legged one. The room is clean and comfortable.
GGuest UserAs a ryokan I believe is run by a family, you would expect they will by offering good service rather than lots of facilities. This is exactly the case. I want to commend the owner, Mr. Tsuchiya, because without his help, my excursion to Lake Toyoni would not be as smooth. After discussing my concerns in the risk of missing the bus on the way back, he agreed to drive me to Lake Toyoni early in the morning, so I would have plenty of time to spend at Lake Toyoni, and minimized the chance I would miss the only scheduled bus back. Indeed, I did get to the bus stop ahead of time and caught the bus. I bought some snacks from a local bakery for his help. Not sure if he liked it or not, but hopefully yes.
In terms of facilities, I was surprised to find there is an onsen there. To be honest, it's more like a hot bath, but that is still nice to have. Also, you will have to drag your luggage to 2nd floor, as obviously, there won't be an elevator. The only complaint I would have is the wifi, which is dodgy at best. Just continue to use your own data if you want to avoid frustrations.
Cleanliness is ok, given only three people run the whole place, including cleaning and cooking. Bathrooms are shared, and I have no problem with the cleanliness. The place is old, so don't expect too much.
In summary, their service is top-notch; everything else is what you would expect of a ryokan.
AAMALINA DIYANAI love our room its complete and big! Plus point its nearby metro station around 5 mins walk. The instructions given by the host are perfect and easy to understand too.
WwaynethepaintTrip.com has always been my go to for travel bookings. Similarly this time to Niseko, decided to extend for an additional week and MyEcolodge came up in the search.
I have to mention the checkin was seamless, but what I thought i booked, vastly differ from what was allocated for me. I thought what i booked was a room to myself however it turns out as a shared room. Its not a big deal but the feeling of misinterpretation leaves an awful taste.
(Trip.com CS stepped in and helped to clarify things but theres nothing that could be done. peak season, and everywhere else is fully booked or without paying a premium)
That said, the stay was good. MyEcolodge sits in a very convenient location just couple stops from Hirafu. Theres various buses including free shutters so thats really an ease off the mind)
7eleven, a small cafe, hotpot/shabushabu restaurant just sits across from you. The hostel also has their own cafeteria though ive never eaten there (food looks good though).
They have a huge storage room for your gears, pretty safe so no worries. pantry, laundry room, washroom are pretty spacious and kept tidy.
The room itself is fine, nothing to wow about. nothing to complain either. Towels are free and clean. Everything else you need to pay.
Overall good stay.
Pray hard you get nice room mates if youre sharing!

Iian duenascon: no free amenities (i knew beforehand, i'm just pointing it out)
pro: the nightly rate is very cheap, especially if you compare it to hostel/hotels in central sapporo during winter festival
con: far from sapporo city center. it takes an hour more or less. also, be ready to add budget for bus rides (550 yen from hostel to sapporo station)
pro: there are restaurants, ramen shops, supermarkets, 100 yen shop which are just 1 bus ride away (max 30 minutes) there is also a skii resort (fu's snow area) nearby.
con: i just wish they install additional heaters in the common area. also, the hot water on the sink stopped running which was inconvenient
pro: i had a comfortable stay. the other guests who stayed at this hostel were quiet. my roommates were japanese, korean and chinese and they were very nice.
in conclusion, i chose this hostel because the price gap between hostels in sapporo city center and this hotel was huge. even with the additional bus fare, it was still much cheaper to stay here.
GGuest UserYuni No Yu hotel has amazing staff, who mostly spoke Japanese. They went out of their way to communicate with us in English. They sent hotel staff to pick us up from the Yuni Station and when we left they drove us back to the Yuni Station and from there we took the local train to the New Chitose Airport. The hotel is 1.4 miles from the Yuni Station. It was snowing and cold outside and we would not have made it to the hotel if we had to walk in the freezing and wet weather. There was no taxi in sight when we arrived at the Yuni station around 5 PM on January 26, 2026. We loved the authentic food prepared by the hotel restaurant chef! Delish! We took off our shoes at the hotel door, like other guests. They have shared, gender-specific showering/bathing/onsen. The winter wonderland scene outside the hotel was spectacular to see. Marvelous hotel, excellent service. A polite and beautiful people! Highly recommend this hotel!
AAnonymous UserThe owner of this hotel is very enthusiastic, especially Every day will cook breakfast ~ mother-in-law, ~ every morning I greeted warmly, once I returned to the hotel the night before, ~ the second morning called me to rest and invited me to eat fruit and bury dessert , especially heartwarming ☺️, It feels like a Japanese home, so I will definitely stay again next time.
