The hotel room is good, the bathroom have foul smell and no bidet. Hotel is located literally in Ximending walking district

I stayed here the most. Friendly and helpful receptionists, Clean beds, however I suggest to organize a deep clean as some of the boxes have gaps and I found a local train ticket that was purchased last year’s July. Now it’s March. Overall I’m happy to comeback here. Love the concept of this place  And Finally! Lockers are outside of the room. I can use it freely during the night!

If you’re looking for an affordable place to stay as a solo traveler around Ximending, you must try wow hostel Ximen. It’s literally in the center of ximen walking street and 2-3 minutes walk to Ximen MRT. Very accessible. The comfort and shower rooms are clean. I booked a single bed and it’s spacious. I think (not sure because I haven’t tried) you can heat your food because they do have a small kitchen. They also allow late check in just inform them via email.

Overall I had a good experience there. In most of the hostels I can stay in the lobby after check out and even use their laundry service, but here the receptionist just asked.. “do you have the card?? No.” I don’t get it, I was about to throw some additional money to this hostel by using their laundry service, so maybe consider some option in the future as I believe the business exists for purpose on making money.

This is a good place to stay if you need to be very near to Taipei Main Station and Taoyuan Airport MRT, with the latter just less than 5 minutes to the ticketing and platform area. Few steps only from Y13 exit of Taipei City Mall underground, to get to the MRT exits Y16 and Y20 is easily reached on the opposite side below. Word of caution though, the hotel does not have any lifts which maybe troublesome for those with heavy luggage. However, once you reach the reception at level 2 via stairs at the main entrance, the rooms inside are relatively big enough at a low price compared to nearby hotels on this area. Safe locker and fridge is also provided with a sofa near the bed, though having a room with no windows means the dirt might accumulate on some of the corners. The amenities are at level 6 such as the laundry area and main breakfast/eating area. The breakfast included on this booking is good enough to start the day, consisting of dumplings, baos and bread with spreads. Vending machines for coffee and tea is present, and I appreciate the hotel’s initiative for us to self clean the utensils, plates and mugs after use. Housekeeping though is only done once unless requested. Instead of key card, actual keys are used to access the rooms. The card included is for the main entrance for use when arriving late at night. Overall I still experience a comfortable stay and might consider it again.

This hotel offers the cheapest price for a solo tourist who likes to stay in a single room as always. Besides, the location is super convenient. It's right next to the taipei station. Toilet and shower are shared with other guests, but they are very clean. I will stay here next time when I visit Taipei. Thanks a lot

The location of the hotel was excellent. Although it is a basic hotel we slept well and the room was spacious and clean. The hotel also makes effort to reduce wastage by limiting the amount of hotel room amenities. I just hope that the hotel could have put a sofa or a small dining tables and some chairs at the void corner. Overall, we are satisfied with the hotel.

The location is very convenient to MRT and a few Places of Interest in Taipei. If you can walk aprox 4-5km you can reach places like Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall, National Palace Museum, Lunghsan Temple and many more. In actual fact i walk all the way to Taipei 101.  The hostel provide adequate facilities and privacy. At the end of the day it's very much depending on your expectation.  It's my first visit to hostel, I think what you really need is just a pair of ear plug to sleep at night. And since we are sharing room with a few people, if smell is a concern you can always place air freshener near your bed.  If you intend to check in between 8pm to 10am, pls make sure you know how to enter the hotel, as there aren't any hotel staff there. You need to now how to press the number to come in. Or wait for other Guest to pass by before opening door for you. 

It's actually good and pretty much cheaper for a group of friends travelling together. Having a common area for the toilet and bath is okay, since it's being cleaned everyday, plus it gives us a lot of time travel compared to our other group of Friends booked with a nearby hotel with only 1 toilet and bathroom. FEEDBACK: It'll be better if they have a microwave and a fridge at their pantry area to at least help guests heat up something for snack specially during midnight

Great location near the Outlets Mall for luxury shoppers and conveniently close to the airport. The staff are friendly and approachable, making the stay pleasant. Despite shared bathrooms, the place is quiet, comfortable, and well-maintained. Overall, a fantastic option at a reasonable price!

We had a pleasant stay at this self-check-in hotel. We booked a room for three people, and it was clean, including the bathroom. The comforters and towels provided were also fresh and tidy. The room had a heater, which was a nice touch, and the water pressure in the shower was good. However, there was no bidet, which may be a consideration for some guests. The check-in process is automated through a machine where you enter your booking number, and it validates your reservation before issuing a key card for your room. We encountered a minor issue during check-in (which starts at 4 PM, with check-out at 11 AM), but there is a landline to contact the hotel owner. However, due to the language barrier, it’s important to listen carefully when communicating. There is no staff on-site, but the lounge area is well-equipped with a water dispenser, coffee, tea, a table, and a microwave, which adds to the convenience. Since we arrived early at 7 AM, we left our luggage in the lounge near the reception area. The entrance to the hotel is secured with a pin code, adding an extra layer of security. Although the hotel description mentions that the walls are thin, we didn’t hear any noise during our stay. The area was quiet, making it easy to rest. The hotel's location is also great—just a 5-minute walk to the night market and close to 7-Eleven and other stores. Overall, it’s a good option for those looking for a clean and convenient stay with self-service amenities.

Very nice and friendly hostel. Well furnished dormitory and very nice common area with small kitchen. Bike friendly. Had a good stay there!

Overall a fine stay. The lobby is chill and very relaxing. Water dispenser is available with teabags but no coffee. The staff is good. Limited toilet and shower booths.

The aunt at the counter was very nice and helped us with many introductions. She also helped us upgrade to a corner window room. Overall, we had a very clear view of the land and sea, the Kaohsiung Central Park Christmas tree, and the Yinxi drone. If the toilet could be larger, Really perfect❤️

The location of this hostel was a major highlight—just a 7–9 minute walk to the Formosa Boulevard MRT Station and 5–7 minutes to the bustling Liuhe Night Market. However, the room felt noticeably smaller compared to the bathroom, and there wasn’t even a chair, so I had to sit or lie on the bed the entire time. Another downside was the poor soundproofing. For light sleepers, I’d strongly recommend bringing earplugs to ensure a good night’s rest. Overall, it’s a convenient option if location is your priority, but the lack of soundproofing and limited room space might be a dealbreaker for some.

Things I like: Nice atmosphere: I met a new friend in this hotel and chatted with him in the common area. Spacious: the rooma and the bed are spacious. Convenient: super near to the metro station and the night market. Got plenty of breakfast shops nearby. Socket: 2 sockets for international plug and 2 for local plug. Things to improve: Security: The ”locker” in the room cannot be locked(even if you bring your own lock). The small locker outside is too small for laptop(only available for phone and wallet). Cleanliness: I don't think they change the blanket everytime but they don't provide blanket cover. Water: no cold water refill, only hot water.

The environment is nice and clean, the room is quite big, the location is convenient, it's in the alley of Liuhe Night Market, the price is cheap, the service staff can't be said to be enthusiastic but the attitude is not bad either, I will stay again if I have the chance!

For three consecutive years, I have chosen Huayuan as my home before returning to Hong Kong during the Chinese New Year. It is obvious that the service quality has declined this year. 1. After checking in, the room was not ready yet. I needed to store my luggage first and then confirm the room number when I came back. The front desk was not aware of the matters I had explained in advance when checking in. Obviously, the handover was not done well and the luggage was not put in the room. 2. Because the check-out time is 6:20 in the morning, in the past two years, the front desk has packed breakfast for me to take to the car. This year, they directly said that because I checked out too early, there is no breakfast. 3. I have always wanted to suggest that hotels should not assume that all guests come by car. For guests walking in from the mall, can there be an aisle that normal people can pass through? The above experience sharing

Very close to the high-speed rail, 10 minutes walk. There are only 7-11 and two or three local breakfast shops around. I don't know if it is good or not, but there are long queues every morning. The surrounding is very quiet, morning and evening are very quiet. The room was large, but the bed was a bit hard, and I got up the next day after sleeping all night. The soundproofing of the room was very poor. The couple next door quarreled at night, and I heard it clearly. The curtain shading effect is not very good either. The front desk service was very thoughtful and took me to find the laundry room and room. Overall, it's not bad. 👍😊👏

It’s good to be back in Kaohsiung and not stay in a hostel this time. This hotel is worth the price you pay for. It’s walking distance to Taipei Main Station and Liuhe night market.

Requested a quiet, non-smoking room, but when I entered the room I found urine stains on the toilet and the room smelled of cigarettes. I opened the window to get rid of the smell and found 4.5 cigarette butts on the windowsill. After I reported this to the hotel, they immediately helped me change rooms. After that, there were constant sounds of people coming in and out of the room next door, and a stranger knocked on my door in the middle of the night. The noise lasted all night and didn't stop until 2 a.m. . It felt like several consecutive rooms were occupied by people who knew each other and played until late at night, so it didn't feel very comfortable staying there.

The room is large enough and newly decorated, making it comfortable. I booked a room with windows, but was given a room without windows when I checked in. I notified the lady at the counter and she changed it. The surrounding transportation is convenient, and Taichung Station is close by, making it convenient for eating and shopping. There are many foreign workers around, and many Southeast Asian restaurants.

Located on Qinghai South Road, the location is pretty good. Unfortunately, there is no free parking. The room is large and bright. The staff at the counter are friendly, polite, and thoughtfully prepare disposable supplies. They are very attentive. I will stay here again if I have the opportunity. I will also recommend it to travelers who want to stay overnight in Taichung. Phew!

very convenient location as it's about 1 minute walk from kaohsiung main station. it's a self checkin guest house, and you get your check-in information by either email or line messenger after you send your passport photo (for foreigners). i stayed here a few times. it's clean and comfortable and has good value for the money.

It is located right next to a Catholic Church, easy to identify. Staying there was a nice experience, cost effective. Will consider to choose again.

Pros: This place has a fantastic rooftop garden where you can hang out - massive plus. The design of the whole hostel was really quite special - quite architectural and so much thought has gone into this place. Free drinks and instant noodles if that’s your bag on the top floor - help yourself. The staff were pleasant and helpful. You can store your luggage in lockers by arrangement. Pretty good downtown location. Cons: Only one toilet and shower in the dormitory we stayed in downstairs - if occupied you had to go onto the street in your pyjamas, swipe your card, and  enter into another doorway next to the one where your dormitory is. All in all a fantastic hostel!

This is my third stay. There are not many people staying here. It is quiet and comfortable. The environment is clean and the space is large. The transportation is also very convenient. There are convenience stores and the second market nearby. I made the right choice.

There are multiple room types to choose from, ranging from one to four people. This time we booked a double and triple room. The double room feels more spacious and comes with a sofa. Each room has a bidet and a refrigerator, which is very comfortable. There is a washing machine on each floor, which is very suitable for people traveling for many days. There are many choices for breakfast and a variety of drinks to choose from. The owner is very friendly and willing to chat with guests. There is a pharmaceutical museum in the basement of the hotel, which can be visited for free.

I have been to Qianshui before. This time I chose accommodation that was very cheap even though it was not in the city. I came with my friends in bunk beds. It had a separate toilet and two personal TVs. There was a water dispenser and a refrigerator outside. Overall, the bourgeoisie girl was quite satisfied. I will continue to stay here next time I come to Taichung. The only drawback: the sound insulation is not very good, it is recommended to wear earplugs

The second stay, the overall is not bad, close to the city, the CP value is high. The bathroom has a large bathtub for bathing and water columns; there is no way to spray water in the shower room, and there is steam. Friends nearby visit to drink and chat, to charge cleaning fees, it is recommended to inform directly, do not call to urge, hurriedly ask the other party to leave, not very embarrassing.
