I stayed for 6 days, and it was my first time staying in an overseas hostel! Regarding amenities, nothing is provided, so you need to bring your own shampoo, body wash, etc. There are only showers. The cleanliness depends on the room you're in. My room was a bit messy because I was sharing it with someone who had been staying there for a long time. The hallway had boots and shoes from guests, but it wasn't inconvenient to walk through. The communal kitchen and lobby were great for relaxing, which I really appreciated. There's also an exclusive guest area on the first floor where you can play games or eat. Since I was traveling solo this time, I didn't usually use it, but I found out about it when I had dinner with my roommate once. The reception staff were polite, energetic, and made for a pleasant experience. It was also possible to store luggage after check-out; it was set up so you could put your bags in a luggage room yourself.

Place is old, and somewhat outdated, and u do hear the traffic from the freeway. But, for the cost for the night, which was $120, overall, it was good value for money. When I first arrived, as it was after hours, I dealt with the caretaker, who was friendly, and also helped me get into my room, cos I was having trouble with the door lock, which was my fault! I didn't use the kitchen facilities, except the fridge, but kitchen was equipped with enough items to be able to cook a meal easily. Bathroom was good, with shower over bath, (and big size bath too), so with not having a bath at home, I soaked for ages! I was informed before arrival, that only mini soap and toilet paper was provided, so I knew to bring body wash, hair conditioner, and other toiletries. Bed was comfy, and bedroom is quite large. TV maybe a little small, but the room had a couple of cupboards, and some hangers for clothes. Place was fairly clean, keeping in mind that it is an older property. Check out was easy, and I was met by a friendly receptionist behind the desk. I would definately stay again, if the price was as good, I'd just bring some earplugs for sleep, cos of traffic noise, which is no fault of the apartments of course!

Geraldton backpacker is a nice little historical building that has been repurposed for backpacker stay! The lady at the receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. The shared kitchen is big and well equipped for almost any cooking!

Stayed here for two nights in a 4 bed dorm with bathroom. It was very clean. There was one bunk bed and then two separate beds, which seemed a bit weird. There was enough room for everyone. The kitchenette did not have enough room for food in the fridges. Also there was not a lot of amenities available besides toaster, microwave and airfryer. Location was decent close to central.

I had a lovely stay at The Local Hotel. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. We had plans to spend a night on Rottnest Island before checking in for two nights at the hotel, and they kindly allowed us to store our luggage a day early. It was such a big favor and made our trip much more convenient. When we arrived, our luggage was already in our room, which was a nice touch. The room itself was stylish and modern. We opted for a corner room, which had three large windows, filling the space with natural light. The lighting in the room was also well done, creating a pleasant ambiance. Although the toilet and bathroom were shared, and there was some noise from the bar's music, the overall experience was enjoyable. These minor inconveniences were overshadowed by the positive aspects of our stay. Overall, I think The Local Hotel as a lovely place to stay. We had a nice experience.

Was greeted quite rudely by a woman who snapped ”There are no vacancies”. Told her my name and she said a person of that name had already checked in. Told her my accommodation was already booked and paid for and showed her my phone with the information. Strange as ”vacancies” sign was up outside this establishment. Accommodation was quite good other than this person's abrupt greeting.

The room is nice, parking is convenient, there are many places to eat nearby, the back door can be opened for ventilation, there is also a swimming pool, and it takes less than ten minutes to walk to the pier, which is a good experience.

A nice hostel not too far from Perth city center. Good things I liked: - Comfortable mattress, with a small curtain for a little privacy - Staffs were nice and helpful - common areas, kitchen, and showers/toilets were cleaned daily - Plus point: Breakfast included (simple toasts with peanut butter/Jam/choc spread) - Free coffee and tea (not the best quality but ok) - near bus stop and grocery (Woolworths) Not so good things: - rooms are quite cramped - no signage outside, bit confusing & hard to find for first timers - Most of the furniture and kitchen facilities are quite old - front porch & yard seems messy & unaesthetic - Price-to-quality ratio: ok The free breakfast, nice & helpful staff, kitchen space and social areas make this hostel recommendable. However, needs for hostel signage & revamping of all spaces & furnitures would make it a highly recommended hostel.

Booked double chalet as friends were there in a caravan as well!  Cabin was really well kitted out with everything expected.  I should have asked if there were any without steps to them and also using a mobility was difficult on the woodchip surrounds as a cement path would be easier to traverse the park.  Site was large with good parking space.  Could have more plates, cutely etc as cannot cater for any additional guests to visit for drinks or meals.  Would recommend to all

GGuest UserThe reception staff are all incredibly friendly. They accommodate most requests, like towel rentals and exchanging bills for coins, and handle them quickly. Plus, with staff available 24/7, emails and other communications are checked promptly. The facilities were satisfactory, and there are many amenities nearby, so I highly recommend it for backpackers.

EEd_CaitCons: parking a bit limited, unsecure. Elevator is functional but a bit scary for my partner. A microwave or similar would have been nice? Or even just cutlery? In places, property is showing age but within reason. Noise through floors/walls from other guests, even closing doors a floor above is very audible let alone TV/etc Shower head needed descaling and was a bit erratic Pros: On beachfront, although our view was a bit obstructed. Dining next door has always been excellent, great food. Room was large, functional, and quite clean and pleasant. Bed was comfortable, pillows pleasant and linen clean. Check in and out was easy and simple. Overall, I'd stay here again and plan to book a room again in December. Our 2 nights here were great, and watching the water from our table having dinner in the rain was fantastic. If you're expecting a 5-star resort, you'll be dissapointed. If you want a clean, large, comfortable room, in a good location and easy access to good food (recommend the fish and chip shop 5 mins away), and just a pleasant beach front stay? Book here.

BBNYYGreat location at the heart of Albany, I drove so everywhere accessible, next door is a French patisserie, beautiful food and place. Good public parking, limited private parking (so dense I must give praise to those who parked). Despite the older infrastructure, it is well maintained and clean. I like how they ask for feedback. Good free pancake breakfast, coffee and first 2 slices free. Receptionist is live in, made it an easy check in at my late arrival.
