Wonderful hotel at the top of the ancient town. Set around a lovely courtyard in a traditional style building, this is in the heart of beautiful Lijiang but away from the noise and relentless tourist throngs. The rooms are simple, clean and comfortable. The bathrooms are showing their age a little but everything works as it should. The best thing is the wonderful manager, Zhu Haifei, who welcomes you with endless tea and never stops helping with all sorts of advice and support. He booked us a brilliant driver to visit Tiger Leaping Gorge and made our stay very special.

One thing about booking hotels in China is that you can't usually find the name of the accommodation in English and on Google maps. And that was the main reason for choosing an international brand like Ibis (although the location on Google maps is slightly off. Location is perfect. Near to the main walking street, and just minutes away from subway station. It is about 20-30 minutes walk from Green Lake park if you prefer to be staying near there. But the park is nothing special. Room is comfortable, and like all hotels in China, very reasonable for the price. But I find the pillows too soft. Shower is strong and separated from the toilet. They even have a Japanese-style toilet 😄 Breakfast is ok only. Staff was very helpful and accommodating.

Highly recommended hotel with very caring staff. I had an excellent stay at this hotel. Everything was perfect, including the location, cleanliness, service, and facilities. The receptionist was very welcoming and helpful. She kindly showed me the way to the famous Starlight Market, which is very near the hotel, making it very easy to visit. What impressed me most was the staff’s honesty and support. I forgot my facewash, which I had brought from my country, and the hotel staff helped send it to me by parcel. I really appreciated this thoughtful help. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I strongly recommend this hotel.

My stay at this high-rise, ocean-view hotel truly exceeded my expectations – it absolutely deserves a five-star rating! The hotel's location is superb, offering expansive, unobstructed views from its upper floors. The moment I stepped into the room, I was mesmerized by the sea view. The huge floor-to-ceiling windows perfectly framed the entire azure ocean. During the day, the sunlight sparkled on the water; in the evening, I watched the sunset paint the sky crimson; and at night, I drifted off to sleep with the sound of the waves. The ambiance was absolutely perfect, and every photo I took looked stunning. The room's decor was simple yet elegant, and the facilities were complete and well-maintained. The bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a perfect night's sleep. The bathroom was clean and tidy, fully stocked with amenities, showing attention to detail. The hotel service was also incredibly thoughtful; from check-in to check-out, the process was efficient and thorough. The staff were gentle and patient, always responding promptly to any requests. The public areas were elegant, and the hygiene was impeccable. The entire hotel was quiet and peaceful, creating a truly relaxing holiday atmosphere. It's perfect for family trips, romantic getaways, or even just some solo relaxation. To enjoy such a magnificent sea view from a high floor at this price point offers incredible value for money. It was a comfortable and restorative stay. I will definitely choose this hotel again for my next visit and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone planning a beach vacation!

Located just outside the north gate of Lijiang Old Town, the location is a big plus — you’re just a short walk into the ancient town, but without the noise and crowds. More importantly, since it’s not inside the old town, it’s very easy to take a cab directly to the doorstep (cars are not allowed within the ancient city), which makes arrival and luggage handling much more convenient. What stood out most was the hospitality. The boss, who is from Tianjin, is incredibly friendly and welcoming — the kind who chats with guests, offers tea, and makes you feel right at home. The courtyard is full of greenery and flowers, creating a calm, cosy space to relax after a day out. Rooms are clean and comfortable, and some areas even offer nice views over the old town.

Got a free room upgrade booking through Trip.com and the room ambiance and facilities were wonderful. The staff speak enough English to get by for your basic needs. There is a small courtyard on the roof where you can eat breakfast, have complimentary tea and chat with other travelers or the staff, and get an amazing view of the nearby snow mountain. The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly, able to assist any of your travel needs and very open to making connections with travelers on a personal level, even after you're on your way to the next place.

Fabulous hotel. Stylish room with high standard amenities in the room. Great shampoo! It's a bit hard to find but we managed to get a Didi from the high speed railway station for 32 RMB. There is an elevator inside the 99Y clothes store that brings you to the 4th floor. A woman in a very simple room will give you your key. The hotel seems to have a different name in English: Aina Hotel. Regardless, it isn't so easy to find for an English speaker. The room is spacious and cosy. Comfortable bedding. Very well designed sitting area. Ceinling fan and Air-conditioning. Large flat screen TV. I loved the teapot and cup set. The hotel gives a nice tea and honey as a free gift. We weren't disturbed by noise despite it being in a popular tourist area. Everything is close by too. Fun to visit the park along the river. We went 2 nights there. I highly recommend.

The hotel is very intelligent, self-check-in throughout the whole process, and there is an intelligent customer control system. You can control the lights and curtains while lying on the bed, and the sense of technology is full. Xiaodu/Smart speakers are sensitive, and the takeaway is also delivered directly to the door by robots. It is both privacy and convenient, and the experience is full.

I had an amazing stay here which was my favourite after travelling to China for a month. Well located in a quieter and more peaceful section of the ancient town. The design of the hotel itself was stunning! Despite the traditional design, the hotel contained completely modern amenities like smart toilets, bed heaters, AC and fast wifi. The highlight though is the exceptional service from the attentive staff and the lovely hotel owner. They are helpful with recommendations, provide pickup service so you don’t have to carry your luggage through the ancient town and overall provides a very homely and comforting atmosphere. I was even invited to dinner and shared fruits, tea and snacks with me! If that isn’t enough to convince you, they also have four super cute cats! Would definitely recommend staying here if you’re coming to Lijiang.

The room was very clean, and my room wasn't facing the street, so it was quiet. It's less than a ten-minute drive from Kunming Changshui Airport, which is super convenient. The hotel offers an airport pickup service. Even though the car was a bit hard to find, the lady at the front desk was very patient and responsible, keeping in touch with me about the location and the driver's arrival time. The hotel features a smart toilet, a Dyson hairdryer, and a projector, which are all big bonuses. Very satisfied! Changshui Airport 24-hour worry-free shuttle service.
