GGuest UserThe hotel facilities are exceptionally complete. The entire room was clean and tidy, with a full range of toiletries and stable water pressure in the shower. The air conditioning worked very well, and all the furniture and appliances were provided. It was a comfortable and hassle-free stay, an absolutely fantastic experience.

GGuest UserOut of our 9-day trip along the Qinghai-Gansu Loop, this homestay was our family's absolute favorite. It's a place with real heart and soul, where every detail is thoughtfully considered. Even our five-year-old said he'd give this hotel 30 stars! The homestay has a great design aesthetic, and the rooms are spotless, perfectly matching the tastes and ideas of younger travelers. We always bring our own disposable toiletries when we travel, but here, everything was already provided in the room. I also really loved the landlady – she's just one of those people you instantly like, and it was so comfortable interacting with her. From the moment we checked into the homestay in Dunhuang, we had such a positive impression of the city. Even though our stay was brief, it's full of beautiful memories. When we were leaving, she found out my child liked apricots and even gave him some from her own yard, which was incredibly touching. The breakfast offered a wide variety, and it was all very enjoyable. I truly recommend this homestay if you're coming to Dunhuang. I hope everyone gets to experience the genuine warmth and hospitality during their travels here. Their raisins are also highly recommended!

GGuest UserThis is a fantastic hotel with excellent amenities. They have a huge parking lot in the back, and there are many restaurants nearby. But the absolute highlight is their breakfast. My wife and I have been on road trips for years, staying in hundreds of hotels, and we've never seen a breakfast like this. They offer over 50 different items, including both Chinese and Western options. They even have things other hotels don't, like salmon, 'Buddha Jumps Over the Wall' soup, boiled prawns, fried chicken nuggets, and fried fish. Everything is incredibly fresh; when the salmon runs out, they immediately bring out more. And all of this for just 28 RMB per person! The owner is truly thoughtful. I highly recommend staying here!

GGuest UserFacilities: Most amenities are available. The duvet cover has patches and holes. Cleanliness: Cleanliness is acceptable, but the dead mosquitoes on the walls should be cleaned up. Environment: The room is small with wooden partitions, so you can hear conversations in the next room clearly. External noise is low. It's located in a food street with many food stalls downstairs. Service: Not particularly noteworthy. Breakfast was average. The millet porridge was decent, but could we have our own dedicated stainless steel bowl for it? Please don't serve porridge directly from a freshly washed plate.

GGuest UserStaying at Shazhou Wild Luxury Camp in Dunhuang was an amazing experience. Tucked away on the edge of Mingsha Mountain, it offers private access to the vast desert. Unlike the crowded Crescent Lake scenic area, this place is tranquil and relaxing. In the evenings, we played cards in the cool shade of the terrace, watched the sunset, and then the sunrise in the mornings. At night, we could step out anytime to gaze at the starry sky and the Milky Way. It was a truly unique experience, highly recommend! Just a couple of suggestions: 1. It would be great if you could recommend a few spots and paths for sandboarding. Otherwise, kids with sandboards run around everywhere, and some dunes are too hard to slide down, wasting a lot of energy and time. 2. Could you consider installing a rope ladder to the highest dune, similar to Crescent Lake? It would make climbing much easier. Otherwise, the women and children in our group couldn't make it up, which was a shame given the beautiful views.

AAnonymous UserChecked in on New Year's Eve. Two wind towels were given as a gift when I checked in. I took a photo of it specially because it was my favorite color, hehe. Cleanliness: The room was surprisingly clean. No weird smell. Facilities: Free toiletries are provided. The bathroom is spacious. The eco-friendly slippers are comfortable, but you can’t take them away. Environment: Entering the hall, it is cozy, warm and the heating is very good. Service: The beauties in the lobby are enthusiastic and warm. To emphasize, heating is very good in winter. The bedding was clean and tidy. We stayed for two days and went out to the scenic spot on the second day. They cleaned and tidied the room without any request. It is convenient to eat. There is an authentic beef noodle restaurant opposite the hotel, a convenience store next door, and a large supermarket around the corner, which is open on New Year's Eve. A perfect trip to Dunhuang! Dunhuang of the world, where my heart longs for!

EE. Ch.Very impressed with that hotel and the staff. Good location relatively close to the fortress and on the way to the wall. Plenty of food options around and more within 1 Km around. The staff at the reception were so helpful. No English spoken but with all the apps communication is not a big issue. It just take more time 🤔😅 The room was big. Great bathroom. A lot of space and storage available. Good air conditioning system. Breakfast was simply delicious and every day there were different items available. Not much western food but anyway Chinese food is healthier. Staff there was lovely. The fitness area is a bit minimalist. Self laundry is available and works great. I will return for sure. A Personal tip to people visiting Jiayuguan: I suggest getting to the wall first thing in the morning after breakfast. Taxis is the only option. In July 2024 the price I paid (Meter as usual) was 26 Yuans. After visiting that place take a taxi to the fortress (Jiayu pass) as it is on the way to the city anyway. The cost was 11 Yuans and it is very close to the fortress unlike the main ticket office located 2 Km away (where the bus nr 4 stops). Further tip if you like HotPot restaurants the NanjiaXiang is a great choice at a very reasonable price. It is 800 meters away from the hotel.

GGuest UserThis is a REALLY nice hotel. Unfortunately, although it is practically right next to one of the city's two train stations, the location is far from ideal. Yes, there are many restaurants close by. But Tianshui is an oddly laid out city. Look on a map and you will see two distinct parts to the city. This hotel, along with the two train stations and the airport are in the eastern city. But all the most interesting city attractions are within the west part. And the two parts are very far from each other. Again, this is a nice, quiet, comfortable hotel. And I often try to stay at hotels near transportation centers such as train stations. The view from my room was fabulous- mountains and a train station. But for anyone visiting Tianshui, I'd suggest you look closely at a map and take a close look at the sites within the city you are likely to visit! (To add to within-town transportation challenges, not even a single time was I able to get a ride using the normally useful ”Didi” application. This meant that it was a constant ”old school” process of trying to flag down available taxis. Anyway, again I will emphasize, the hotel is great. It is the layout of the city itself that presents challenges that make this location difficult.

GGuest UserAfter comparing several accommodations for my trip to Zhangye Danxia, I chose Kaoshan Daying (Back Mountain Camp). The Starry Sky Yurt was what truly captivated me, and my entire stay exceeded expectations – highly recommended! Location-wise, the camp is right next to the West Gate of the Danxia scenic area, making travel incredibly convenient. No need for roundabout detours; I could step out early in the morning to catch the Danxia sunrise. This fantastic location also saved me a lot of effort when it came to stargazing at night. Now, let's talk about the Starry Sky Yurt. Before I arrived, I was a bit worried about roughing it in a tent out in the wilderness, but my stay completely changed my mind. The yurt was spotlessly clean and tidy, well-ventilated with no strange odors. The bed was soft and comfortable, and despite the large temperature swings in the Gobi Desert between day and night, the interior was well-insulated and never felt cold or damp. The en-suite bathroom was excellent, with 24-hour hot water and a full range of toiletries. It truly offered a luxurious wilderness experience that blended comfort with ambiance, without compromising on daily conveniences. However, the panoramic skylight at the top of the yurt was the real highlight and the biggest surprise of my trip. The camp is far from the city, meaning almost no light pollution. As night fell, the entire sky was unblocked and spread out above me. I didn't even have to step outside into the wind; I could lie in bed and gaze up at the countless stars. The Milky Way stretched clearly across the mountains, with stars so bright and dense – a magnificent night sky rarely seen in the city. Lying there quietly, watching the celestial river flow and listening to the distant Gobi breeze, all my travel fatigue slowly melted away. It was incredibly romantic and healing. The camp's amenities were also very thoughtful. In the evening, you can enjoy a starlit BBQ and hotpot. After dinner, there's a bonfire party. Then, after a stroll, you return to your yurt to continue enjoying the tranquil starry sky. The self-driving parking area is spacious, and RV resupply facilities are comprehensive. The staff were warm and meticulous in their service; they thoughtfully informed me of the best stargazing times and were always on hand to help with any issues. The unique Danxia mountain light show at night, coupled with the vast starry sky, created a multi-layered and stunning view. The special clear-broth suoyang hotpot was authentic and generously portioned, perfect for a hot meal after a day of exploring. Whether you're traveling as a couple or with friends, the Starry Sky Yurt is an exceptionally suitable choice. You can admire the Danxia landforms up close and immerse yourself in lying under the Milky Way – it perfectly combines natural beauty with comfortable accommodation. This is an unmissable gem when visiting Danxia, and I will definitely choose the Starry Sky Yurt again on my next trip to Zhangye.

JJingshengjingseThe hotel facilities should be relatively good. The girl who helped us with our luggage and taught us how to turn on the water heater in the room was very nice. The front desk clerk had no smile at all and said that nothing could be done, which was very speechless. The hotel also charged a deposit of 199 yuan, which I haven't encountered for a long time. The drinks in the refrigerator also need to be paid for. This can be changed. After all, the cost is not cheap. Moreover, one of my friends had severe altitude sickness and returned early. Other hotels that could not refund the room explained the situation and refunded them. Only this hotel charged half of the room fee. The hotel was not fully booked that day, which was very inhumane.
