The environment and design of Wantoo B&B are warm and comfortable, and the coffee shop in the courtyard has a very romantic ambiance. The rooms are clean and cozy, and the breakfast is well-balanced. The owner, who prepares breakfast, mentioned that the breakfast menu changes daily, but unfortunately, we only stayed for two days, and indeed, the breakfasts were different on both days. The front desk lady had an excellent service attitude. Since there aren't many supermarkets in the old town, it's hard to find fruit, but she kindly gave us apples and pears. The B&B offers free bicycles and tricycles, and spending a day cycling freely around the old town was truly delightful. It was a genuinely great experience.

This hotel is absolutely divine! I stayed at the Jiuholi Courtyard Homestay within Datong Ancient City for three days during my three-day trip to Datong. By the end of it, I was seriously considering saving up to buy a courtyard home myself! The owner just laughed and said, 'That's not something you can just save up for!' Hahahaha, and he's right! This little courtyard is just so peaceful and comfortable. The room temperature, amenities, and bedding quality were all excellent. Location: It's just a few minutes' walk to the ancient city, with the city wall right across the street. Getting to Huayan Temple and the Nine-Dragon Wall was super convenient, all within walking distance. Service: The service was genuinely impeccable. The owner personally handled our pick-up and drop-off, making us feel like we were being hosted by a favorite uncle – perfectly attentive without being intrusive. The front desk staff were absolutely wonderful, dedicated to providing excellent service, and always spoke softly and politely. Amenities: They had a Dyson hairdryer, L'Occitane toiletries, and a smart heated toilet seat. I finally stayed in a smart voice-controlled room in the north! [crying emoji][crying emoji] Even the five-star hotels I've stayed in didn't have voice control, but this place does! Living Environment: It was so quiet and peaceful. Plus, during my stay, the other guests were all very considerate; I didn't hear a peep from anyone else. I absolutely loved the room decor! I seriously want the hotel's design plans, haha! I'm not a shill, but they made my stay so enjoyable that I just have to help promote them a little. I'll definitely be back next time! #DatongHotel #CourtyardStay

The staff were so so friendly and super nice!!! Told them it was our honeymoon and there was a handwritten note with fruits and snacks waiting for us on the table. They didn't have to, but they did ☺️ when we left, we were rushing for the train and didn't have time to eat breakfast. The staff were so concerned we were skipping breakfast she quickly packed some food for us to go and even ran after us to pass us cutlery because she forgot to pack some. Would recommend staying here 10/10!

Thanks to Nanshe, our trip to Datong was incredibly enjoyable and pleasant, offering a sense of security just like home. The guesthouse is located inside the ancient Datong city wall, which is an excellent location, making it very convenient to visit famous attractions and long-standing restaurants, all within walking distance. The room was clean, tidy, and well-arranged—small yet cozy. We even had foreign guests in the room opposite ours 😉. The two housekeeper sisters provided attentive and responsive service, always ready to offer advice. On our first day, they recommended the nearby Dongfang Xiaomian restaurant, a local favorite for sliced noodles; you can't go wrong with anything you order there! 😁 On our second day in Datong, we experienced a sandstorm, a rare experience for someone from the coast. We stayed at Nanshe for three days, and because of Nanshe, I fell in love with Datong.

The location is fantastic, surrounded by attractions and right next to Zhonglou Street. The night market in the evening is incredibly lively with everything you could wish for. The tall girl at the front desk was not only beautiful but also very kind, providing me with a travel guide and useful tips. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and it even had smart home features. Even though I only stayed one night, I had an excellent experience!

A good old grand dame hotel. Room is updgraded and come with a decent bathtub. One can enjoy soaking in the hotel bathtub after a tiring trip!! BTW, the breakfast buffet at next door hotel is a steal at RMB 40. Pls do not miss it.

The hotel boasts an excellent location facing the Fen River, offering beautiful riverside views. The rooms are well-equipped with amenities like smart toilets, a huge TV, and a complimentary minibar. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of choices. Right next to the hotel, there's a restaurant that's clean, affordable, and delicious, serving both noodles and rice dishes with generous portions at great prices. The hotel also provides a high-speed train station shuttle service, though reservations are required. Overall, this hotel is fantastic! I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Linfen!

I've traveled to over thirty cities in the past two years, and this was my first time choosing a guesthouse within an ancient city. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this hotel, located right in the ancient city, had very modern facilities, including central air conditioning, and hot and cold running water. The environment within the ancient city is beautiful, but what truly stood out was the exceptional service. I felt completely at home. They offered shuttle service to and from the high-speed train station and provided all sorts of assistance. I even forgot my glasses during a tour, and one of the staff members ran to bring them to me – it was incredibly touching. The location is also excellent, very close to the bustling South Street.

Our stay was absolutely fabulous. We were even offered a complimentary pickup from the station, which made our arrival smooth and stress-free. The room was bïeautifully designed and thoughtfully equipped, featuring heated floors, a multi-temperature water dispenser, a large-screen Tv, dehumidifier, etc. What impressed us most was the exceptional hospitality—the service truly went above and beyond our expectations. Breakfast was delicious, and we were delighted by the tasty snacks delivered straight to our room. We only wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend this hotel! As an added bonus, the host speaks English, which made communication easy and comfortable.
