5-Star Hotels in Guangdong, China

I booked a stay at this 5 star hotel for 3 days 2 nights, I must say that the room is clean and spacious, with numerous facilities for all family members such as badminton, tennis, billard, hotspring, cycling, archery etc. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the service. 2 staff we encountered were constantly on their phone and not attentive at all. What really pissed us off was the incident that we put up Do Not Disturb at our door as we were taking our afternoon nap. Yet, the hotel staff called our room number. as we were asleep, we didn't pick up. Guess what. They actually called my mobile phone. Just to ask if they need to clean the room. We went to seek clarifications at the hotel reception which the reception staff at first deny they called, until we showed them the missed call number from the hotel. Then they said will feedback to their manager. At night, the manager Ms Wong called. to our disgust, she said that was their SOP! Which hotel, to say this is a 5 star hotel, that when guest put up Do Not Disturb sign, it's their SOP to call the room and worst to call guests' personal mobile phone. Isn't this an invasion of privacy, calling our personal line. This is the first time we experienced this. We never had this when we put up Do Not Disturb sign at numerous hotels we stayed before. The manager didn't sound apologetic at all but very defensive. Even to the extent that they are checking on pir safety. I was really perturbed by her comment above. The most satisfactory hotel I stayed in Shanwei. The front desk provided professional and enthusiastic reception service, and introduced the hotel's business location and free facilities in detail. I booked a garden-view room with an area of ​​60 square meters, which was exactly the same as the picture. I was very satisfied with it, clean and well-equipped. On the way to check in, I could also take my children to the children's area to play claw machines and video games. In the afternoon, I went to the hotel's underground first floor. The Suzhou Garden is really beautiful. I took a lot of photos. It was so cool to swim and exercise in the fitness center. It was a very satisfactory stay experience. From service to hygiene to facilities, it is all five-star standard. Thumbs up! Recommended to stay!

This is our second stay at Fairyland Resort Hotel, our first stay was in 2018, environment is still the same, nice beach, excellent hotel with much more amenities as compared to 2018. The kids really enjoy their stay here.

The location is excellent. It is just opposite the Golden Sands Bay and you can see the sea by going downstairs. It is also very convenient for shopping and dining nearby. There are a lot of food. At night, after a full meal, I sat on the beach and enjoyed the sea breeze. It was so comfortable. I wanted to delay check-out for something. Xiao Min and Xiao Mo at the front desk actively helped me apply to the leaders. I like their service.

Hotel was previously known as Meritus, location is near 2 shopping complexes just a short 10 min walk away, only sad thing is furniture look a little tired after years without major renovation, breakfast is ok with lot of choices catering to both locals & foreigners.

Have a good service and friendly. The hotel have smart home function and also have the massage chair . Importance is they have provided you a good pillow and bed. You will feel comfortable to be sleeping and also have a river front of the hotel.

I planned to travel off-peak in March, and chose to stay at Pera Manor when I came to Nankun Mountain. It was a satisfying trip; the hotel lobby was warm and elegant. After we checked in quickly, the housekeeper led us to the room; the Japanese-style room style, unique Zen and warmth, warm wood tones with simple layout, instantly dispelled the fatigue of the journey; the skin-friendly bedding was clean and comfortable, allowing people to have a good night's sleep; the toiletries in the room were made of high-quality natural plant series, with a fresh smell and comfortable feeling; the scenery outside the room was also refreshing, facing the lake view and feeling the breeze, very comfortable. This stay was very comfortable, and I will come back to experience a different scenery next time.

The location is amazing where you can maximise your time to enjoy their hotel and your short weekend escape. The service was extraordinary at the concierge named Aaron Zhou, he even helped me with purchasing the high speed train tickets 

Qingyuan International Hotel seems to have convenient transportation, with a bus stop right outside and Fengcheng Wharf opposite. However, the actual experience is not satisfactory. The waiting time for the bus is long, and you need to walk a distance after taking the bus to the scenic spot or park. For travel, self-driving or taking a taxi may be a better choice, which can avoid the waiting time for the bus and the hassle of walking, and travel is more convenient.

Huge resort, in a very quiet area, middle of montains. staff is really friendly and helpful, some of them speak good English ( ask Betty ). The rooms are very big, full equipped, no USB plug so take yours. The hot spring is amazing with great variety of basins but always hot water…. One Chinese restaurant and one buffet restaurant, where you can find call what you like. You must try the draft beer at the buffet…. Breakfast is huge with lot of dishes, fruits, even coffee. Located at 20km from highway (G45), hotel is easy to find. At only 500m from hotel, a small village with lot of small shops, where you can find what you need. If you have car, parking inside hotel, free. Since 12 years I go many times there, and I don’t see any change. Always clean and the same perfect service.
