Chimelong Penguin Hotel

Zhuhai Chimelong Ocean Kingdom is so much better than Guangzhou Chimelong Safari Park, not just a little bit! The room decor and staff service were both excellent. The housekeeping service was particularly great; my child loved the rose made from toilet paper, and the staff even folded several more for her. Since it was her birthday month, we also received a small gift. Unlike Guangzhou Chimelong, where they promised a gift but never delivered, and even after I complained, they said they'd add me on WeChat but never did.

The hotel's location is fantastic; you're right at Ocean Kingdom as soon as you step out, and it's just a few minutes' walk directly to the park entrance. This saved us from having to rush early in the morning or travel back and forth, which was a huge time-saver and stress-reducer when traveling with kids. There are adorable penguins in the lobby at all times, keeping the little ones excited and happy throughout our stay – the atmosphere was absolutely amazing! The room was clean and tidy, with complete amenities, comfortable bedding, and excellent soundproofing, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. Toiletries and children's amenities were all thoughtfully provided, showcasing great attention to detail. The staff were warm and attentive; check-in and check-out were efficient and quick, and they responded promptly to any issues. The hotel offers a wide range of dining options, and the buffet restaurant even lets you dine while watching penguins, adding a wonderful sense of occasion. Overall, the environment is full of childlike wonder and perfectly suited for families. It's convenient for travel and offers a top-notch experience. We'll definitely stay at the Penguin Hotel again on our next trip to Chimelong – highly recommended!

This hotel is great for kids, with plenty of activities. The lobby staff are attentive and responsible. Taxis are readily available, and the shuttle bus service is also very convenient. In-room deliveries were prompt. The butler was not only helpful and enthusiastic in answering all our questions but also consistently shared the park's show schedule and weather updates daily, making trip planning much smoother. Overall, this stay was very comfortable, meeting all our expectations. It's a great choice for accommodation.

The room is right next to the Ocean Kingdom entrance, and there's a shuttle bus to the Spaceship Theme Park every 20 minutes, which is super convenient. We bought a package deal for the hotel and two attractions, and the perk of getting an hour's early entry to the park each day was really great. The kids absolutely loved the hotel environment, and having a dedicated WeChat concierge service added to the excellent experience. Plus, you can even watch penguins swimming while dining at the hotel's buffet restaurant!

The hotel's design is incredibly kid-friendly, with penguin cartoon characters everywhere, which my child absolutely loved! The room was very clean, and the bedding was great, not too soft and not too hard. The bathroom even had a child's toilet seat, which was such a thoughtful touch! I stayed in a fireworks-view room, and watching the fireworks show from inside was fantastic! Breakfast at the buffet restaurant offered a wide variety, with both Chinese and Western options, and we could watch the penguins while we ate! Overall, it was a wonderful stay, definitely worth a second visit!

This was my second stay at the Penguin Hotel. Although the hotel is a bit old, the location is absolutely fantastic, and the staff are incredibly nice. I can only imagine how challenging it must be to maintain such a positive attitude, especially during holidays with so many families and children around. The hotel's buffet restaurant offers a wide variety of choices that cater to everyone, from kids to seniors. I highly recommend the fireworks-view room – it's so relaxing to watch the fireworks after a long, tiring day. The hotel's dining prices are also quite reasonable. We entered Ocean Kingdom in the morning and stayed until 4:30 PM. The butler even reminded us that the 5 PM Chimelong Show was starting soon, so we quickly walked over and made it just in time. The short distance was really a blessing!
