It is a capsule hotel. First experience in a hotel of those characterisrics. The room is quite small, but it has everything needed.
The hotel is quite far always of the center of Amsterdam and there are not many public transport options. Anyway, it's a very safe route and I haven't had any problem.
I had a mix feeling about this hostel. The location is superb, close to the centraal station although you need to take the ferry to cross the river (don't worry, it's free). Upon arrival, the room is really clean. Bed sheet and cover were provided, thus I needed to make my own bed. Apparently, the room was not cleaned every day. During my 5 days stay, they only cleaned it twice. Also, the soap container in the toilet was broken, so the soap kept falling to the floor, which made an unpleasant mess. Curtains were also broken, so we slept every night with a see-through window. I reported this issue to the receptionist, but nothing was done to fix it. There is no communal kitchen as well, so I could not boil hot water to make my own tea or instant noodles. Everything is charged here. If you want to check in early, you need to pay. If you want to book the lower bunk bed, you also need to pay. I think the positive point of this accommodation is just the location, everything else was meh.
I didn’t really like the atmosphere of the hostel. It was cheaper than the other options but felt more like the people staying were not really travelers and disregarded any sense of social etiquette
When I checked in, the owner kindly explained how to use the hostel.
There is a free hair dryer in the bath, and there are about five of them, which is convenient.
There is a locker room that you can use for free. The owner also kindly explains how to set the PIN code.
The rooms have curtains to ensure privacy. You can hear noise, but if you use earplugs or earphones, it's not a problem.
It is a little far from Amsterdam Central Station, but
I think it's a good idea to plan to arrive early and check what time the train is. I left late and had trouble with the few trains. If you use the bus, I don't think you need to worry about this.
Overall, it was a great stay.
When the room is ready, staff allow me for early check in and there’s always staffs to clean the toilet and bathroom to maintain good hygiene. I would recommend those who are travelling alone to choose this hostel
Close to the tram station. Take 6 - 7 stops to the city centre. The room and bath room are very big and clean. You can borrow the hair dryer from the reception, but it is hard to borrow because they don’t have too much.
The hotel is located far from the city center, outside the GVB transport zone, I do not recommend checking in without a personal car. The hotel itself is quite good, I did not find any obvious disadvantages other than the distance
I liked the place very much. Nice atmosphere at the bar, clean and very quite in the room and only 15 eur. Get your towel for shower and your own lock to lock your staff otherwise you have to pay which is normal considering the price of the bed. Bed is very comfortable but a bit short. I am 186 and it was not enough.
We stayed at Trianon Hotel for a couple of nights and were generally satisfied, considering its budget price.
Pros: The location is fantastic — right in the heart of Amsterdam, directly opposite the Van Gogh Museum, perfect for art lovers and city explorers. The view from the window is stunning, especially from higher floors. Check-in at 2:00 PM was quick and hassle-free, with friendly staff.
Cons: There are some drawbacks. The hot water pressure in the shower was weak, which was a bit annoying. The carpet in the room looked somewhat dirty, which affected the overall impression. The coffee machine in the lobby charges even for hot water, and there’s no kettle in the room, which is inconvenient for those who like to make tea or coffee.
Overall: Trianon Hotel is a great budget option for those looking to stay affordably in central Amsterdam. For the price, it’s a decent choice for a short stay, especially if you plan to spend most of your time exploring the city.

LloreleikvltWe had been really concerned after pre paying this hotel then reading bad reviews that had us convinced we would need to wear plastic suits the entire visit,, so I thought I'd give my review based around the concerns we had read, to try and be helpful ! some of the things were true , the sheets did come off the bed on mine but I wiggle but my friends both stayed on their beds. super annoying but I just slid it back on and you can always throw your cover over it instead and ask for another . Fortunately we didn't come across the bed bugs people mentioned !, the cat seemed happy and not flea ridden.. however the room was clean enough , no obvious mould. The beds were comfortable enough. The bathroom was clean and quite nice
It wasn't huge but had ample.space for our things in the triple person room .
It's an old building with narrow windy stairs I'm glad the elevator worked. it's not a relax and sit in all day hotel..it's a place to sleep , shower ...charge your phone and keep your belongings.
The coffee machine was fine as far as basic goes.
The staff were fine
There was a fifty euro deposit on the desk, we just asked for a receipt after other things mentioned in reviews and were given a written one with no problem on leaving . We were offered one free housekeeping day as we stayed 4 nights but opted not to use it due to theft mentioned in reviews..
We stayed at the main hotel so I don't know if all the bad reviews were from the other or we just got lucky with our room but we had no problems, and when I went rustling down before hours looking for coffee the guy did help me before reception opened.
It's no paradise of a place , there are marks on the walls but faint...if you're fussy it's not the place for you but for the price and location, we really didn't mind it . It's a super great location as a base with a trendy area behind it
And a really cool vegan restaurant a tiny walk away a pub downstairs and metro train a stone's throw away
If you have the option to pay on arrival ask to see.your room first.you could take that route
Just to be safe, but all up it was fine..3 women travelling together there was no unsafe feeling there .
We didn't find it noisy.
GGuest Userthe floors were disgusting. sticky and oily. i saw the cleaning lady only vacuum randomly and didn't mop the floor or anything. the staircase was narrow and really high. it was unsafe since they only had railing on one side and nothing on the other. i was assigned a room in 4th floor, i had a really hard time carrying my suitcase up and down. the toilet was quite clean, or at least it looked clean since the tiles were all black.
Zzhengtingoverall a good stay, but what you pay is what you get for, basic amenities only. no fridge or water boiler. but lobby had water dispenser. apart from that, if you reach earlier, early check in will be 20euros. and if you want to store your luggage at counter, will be 5 euros per locker. Huge shoutout to the friendly counter staff tho, very friendly and helpful, thankyou.

GGuest UserThis hotel is more like a hostel. There are steep stairs to the 1st and 2nd floors. It is situated in a bustling street around 1.8km from Amsterdam Central Station. There are many shops, cafes and restaurants nearby. Staff are helpful but only in a perfunctory manner. The hotel rooms are very small and closely situated together. They are clean and comfortable enough however. Clean towels are provided daily. TV and small electric fan also included. There is no complimentary bottled water so you will need to buy your own.
Now to the negatives of staying here … if you are looking for a quiet place to rest for the night do not choose this hotel. The rooms are not well soundproofed and there is a lot of people to-ing and fro-ing late at night, knocking on doors, opening and shutting doors, talking loudly in the corridor, not to mention thumping dance music going on into the small hours from adjacent rooms. A lack of consideration for other hotel guests seemingly prevails. Overall, this is more like an overpriced hostel than a mid-priced hotel, and if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing place to sleep then you should avoid booking here.
GGuest UserExcellent location, close to Central Station, many shops and restaurants around the hotel. Steep stairs but manageable, recommended for light travellers. We booked the New renovated room, nice design and spacious for two people. Nice staffs, but need to leave the room key every time when you leave the hotel…but the room cleaning need to be improved…found that stains/dirts are on the toilet seat/ dusts on the bedding/ no refilling of the tea bags…overall it is a nice stay in Amsterdam
DDisney03I recently stayed at the Ibis Budget Amsterdam Airport and was impressed by its convenience and value. The free hourly shuttle service made getting to and from Schiphol Airport effortless, which was perfect for my early morning flight. The room was compact but clean and functional, offering everything needed for a short stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, making check-in and check-out smooth. While the breakfast was basic, it provided a good start to the day. Overall, a solid choice for travelers needing a budget-friendly option near the airport.
