3-Star Hotels in Canterbury, New Zealand

The park is huge and very disorganised. The staff at the reception was very friendly and nice and the check-in was quick. When we arrived to our cabin the heater was on which made it nice and comfy. The cabin we got had 4 beds for 5 people (e.g. parents and 3 kids), but they all bunk beds and very very old. We had to split and sleep on separete beds as during every breath you take the bed is shaking heavily which intterupts the sleep of another person, especially if they are on a bed above/below you. That's actually very sad, considering that paid for the cabin same amount of money as we could've rent airbnb at Fairlee, but we wanted to try this holiday park specifically. All beds had a set of a clean sheets and towels, even though on couple of them I found stains (that are probably iremovable). The blanket we had on the master bed had cigarrete burned holes (or similar). The floor in the cabin was very very dirty, which made it pretty disgusting to walk on. We also had a TV that we didn't know how to turn on and a small freezer. The cabin itself as pretty comfy except for the dirty floor and dirty ceiling full of died insects. When I walked to take a shower I met about 4 girls that were checking the shower temperature, cause apperantely for couple of hours there was no hot water ONLY in the women section. Men's section in the same block had it. So we waiting, nothing happend and we all (5 women) had to walk all around the park looking for other shower blocks. Because it was past 6 and it's winter time, it was dark and for some reason the park doesnt have any outdoor lights. So I got lost on my way back and had to call my bf to meet me, because this place is like an ant nest - impossible to get through especially during the night time. With this girls we found another shower block that only had 1 single shower and we all had to wait in line. Btw the non working one had 4 showers, which is still very little, considering amount of people staying in the park. The shower and toilets looked very dirty and unmaintaited. The entry to the park had a code for cars that also stopped working, so at some point they just opened it for everyone to pass. So I wouldn't say that it worth to stay there for the money we paid.

A decent hostel in a not-so-far location from the centre. The kitchen and common areas are specious enough and kept clean daily regardless of careless people that were not taught how to clean after themselves. There’s parking available free of charge which is great with an alternative to park on neighbouring streets if full. The beds are not the best, very wobbly and noisy when you turn or tried to climb up. Separate sockets and lights by each bed are great. There are lockers but you need your own bad lock. Staff was polite and friendly.

The front desk was very welcoming, energetic and polite. Big room with all facilities. My partner and I had a lovely evening.

The room was quite clean and not far from the airport, just a few hundred meters. There's a KFC and a supermarket nearby, which is very convenient. The amenities were a bit lacking, though; there was no kettle or anything like that.

The wifi is limited to 500MB per person, the speed is very slow, and the connection is often disconnected. There is a charity shop and a Chinese noodle restaurant next to it, which is convenient for cooking. There is a gas station next to it. It is not far from the Dahuang Supermarket.

The space is huge, definitely big enough for two people! We arrived after 9 PM, and initially, I couldn't find the PIN for the self-check-in. I messaged the host on Trip.com, and they replied very quickly! The heating was excellent and made for a very comfortable night. The bathroom even had a heater, which made showering really pleasant!

Stayed here for 11 nights and had a wonderful experience. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained throughout my stay. The location was very convenient, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and local attractions. The room was cozy and provided everything I needed for a longer stay. The staff were friendly and helpful whenever assistance was needed. After staying here for nearly two weeks, it really started to feel like a home away from home. I checked out today and was actually a little sad to leave. Thank you for making my stay in Christchurch so enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

-English version This is a wonderful accommodation for a solo or couple traveling! Apart from all those you can know from the website, the most important thing is that the hosts always keep a space for guests to park the car, since there is almost no parking place in that area, it has been incredibly convenient for me! And the second thing is that there is a massage chair in the room! It was so good and I felt so relaxed after 4 hours driving, I almost couldn’t get up from the chair. Last but not least, the host was so warm and nice, he is always smiling and willing to answer my questions! I am so glad that I booked the room! -中文版 以獨旅或是兩人旅行來說，這是一間很好的住宿，除了在網頁上所得到的資訊外，我認為最重要的是這裡的房東會幫他的住客留停車位！我個人覺得Rollerston停車位不算好找，但是當開車到住宿點的時候發現竟然用空位可以停，後來才知道是房東留下來的！超級貼心超方便！！！再來讓我覺得很加分的是，他的房間裡面有按摩椅，不是高島屋好幾十萬那種，但是感受上絕對不輸那些按摩椅，尤其長途開車之後，坐在他們家的按摩椅上真的是不想起來！最後是房東人很好，很熱情，親切地為我介紹房裡所有設施，也很有耐心地回答各種問題，真的很幸運可以訂到這間房！

The resort was comfortable and clean , I did miss the hot pools that used to be there . The staff were very good ,and the food delicious. I was a bit annoyed when trying to sit in the lounge restaurant area , at all the children running around , screaming without parental guidance . It was not a relaxing ambience as there were so many kids running and screaming I could not talk to my freind . I was extremely surprised to find a child in resort uniform behind the bar . I’m from Australia, and this would be illegal , so I did feel I was in a big nursery with adults having drinks . Good for families , but a a couple of people just wanting a drink and dinner . No One two year hit his hand , banged in a big chest lid he was digging around in . The high screams and wails were scary , and I’m not sure why the parents left them . Otherwise my stay was great .

The rooms are clean, spacious, and quiet. Each room has its own parking spot right outside, and it's just a five-minute drive to the town center, making it super convenient for getting around. You'll need to head to the town center for meals, and I did feel that parking could be a bit tight there. If you're traveling by car, I highly recommend this place! Since the town isn't very well lit at night, if you're lucky, you can stargaze right from the courtyard behind your room – no need to drive all the way to the lake!
