3-Star Hotels in Eastern Province, Sri Lanka

Welcome to Trincomalee, Sri Lanka. Nice hotel with great swimming pool. Hotel is close to the beach, you can walk there very fast. Service was good, friendly and kind staff with great English language skills. My friend and she's family really enjoyed staying in this hotel. Swimming pool, also to childrens pool was very nice size and well maintained, very clean water and surrounding.

Хороший отель, ни чуть не пожалели, что остановились здесь. Вкусные завтраки, вкусные ужины, хороший чистый бассейн и очень приветливый персонал. В комнате пахнет очень вкусно - лемонграсом. Минус комнаты - сильная слышимость. Мы пытались уснуть пораньше, так как предстоял ранний подъем но до 10 вечера слышали, как соседи звенели вилками и болтали, ужиная. Еще один минус - расположение кондиционера. Он дует прямо на кровать, а одеял в отеле нет, только простыни. С кондиционером холодно, без него - жарко 😁 Но в целом, эти два минуса не перекрыли позитивный настрой, так как отель показался нам очень классным. Отдельный плюс я хочу отметить за книжку с заданиями, которую дали моему сыну. Очень много интересных заданий, которые он выполнял, пока ожидал ужин, или в течение дня. По прохождении книжки есть подарок - мороженое. Очень мило. Кстати, в пяти минутах от отеля чудесный пляж! 🥰 и там почти нет людей.

We were here two nights, the family is very friendly and friendly, we also made breakfast here, have a common lounge on the ground floor where every room/group is served. The rooms are in good condition but you can do better on cleaning, especially in the bathroom.

There were so many things, but overall, all the staff were very hardworking, kind and good people! First of all, it seems that the reservation for 4 nights that I had made on Trip.com was not made at the time of check-in. There are many staff members, but there are only about two staff members who can communicate in English without any problems, and it was difficult to find them every time lol. I was hurriedly guided to my room, but I couldn't find the air conditioner remote control, and a staff member just brought me a towel (probably the room was hastily provided, so it was not fully prepared?) When I asked for the remote control at that time, they brought it to me relatively quickly. The wi-fi password was handwritten on the phone, but it was faded and I couldn't read it, so I looked for a staff member again and asked lol. I thought there would be hot water, but it was room temperature (it was a little cold at first, but if you try hard to take a shower, it feels like it's getting warmer for some reason, but it was exactly the same temperature lol) and the water pressure was quite weak. I asked the staff, but it seems that the temperature probably can't be changed. I asked them for at least the water pressure, and it improved a little. However, the water pressure was weak again the next night, so I asked them to adjust the water pressure every day for four days before taking a shower. When the staff came to check the water pressure, they stood on the bath mat with their shoes on, and the bath mat turned black because the shoes were wet with water... This happened two days in a row, so we told them that the water pressure had improved and it was okay to check it. It may be a cultural difference, but I guess they don't care about guests' bath mats turning black. The laundry service, free bicycle rental, and currency exchange that were listed on Trip.com (same as ***********) were not available lol The location is nice, right in front of the sea. It's a 10-20 minute walk to the town, but I was so scared of the stray dogs at night (they sleep and relax during the day, but are super active at night...) that I had to use a tuk-tuk every time. The hotel itself is not bad, but the shower was the only thing that bothered me. There were also frequent power outages every day. (It wasn't particularly difficult, but it sometimes took several hours lol) The staff were all really trying to solve the problem and listen to our requests. They were very calm and friendly, and always had a shy smile lol However, their English was quite weak, so it was necessary to be patient and communicate.

Останавливались в этом чудесном отеле на 2 недели, и каждый день получали удовольствие от пребывания. Локация превосходная, кафе, магазины, магазин алкоголя, обмен валюты - в минутной доступности. Каждый номер имеет вид на океан. Рекомендую брать завтрак (был 1650 рупий за 1 персону) - сосиски + яйца / омлет на выбор, приготовят как попросите. 4 тоста, масло, арахисовая паста, джем, авокадо с овощами, свежий сок на выбор, чай / кофе, нарезка фруктов. Очень сытный, за эти деньги вы ничего подобного не найдете. Если вы живете на первом этаже, то имеете прямой доступ на персональную лужайку с шезлонгами и выходом на пляж. Из номера до входа в океан идти примерно 15-20 секунд. Особенно хотелось бы отметить великолепного сотрудника отеля по имени Jifthas - это очень приветливый и внимательный человек, готовый помочь с любыми вопросами. Он сделал наш отдых незабываемым, раскрыл множество тайн острова, познакомил с местной культурой и едой. Вы можете на него всегда положиться. Однозначно рекомендуем этот отель для отдыха. Вернёмся сюда снова! и только сюда! 🏖️✨

The hotel in general we liked, but the neighbor dog.. she lays just so and at night bad sleep.. The room has air conditioning and fan. There was water in the room when you checked in, but on extension it is not added. After a trip com breakfast paid, 1000 rupees for two, we didn't like the first, no more asked. It is possible to live)

We absolutely loved our time at the Hideaway! The grounds are incredible with tons of luscious plants that are beautifully maintained. Our cabana was amazing. Spacious, sparkling clean with fun tropical touches like a beautiful handmade quilt on the bed, fresh tropical flowers in the bathroom and main cabana and touches of bright colors throughout. We spent 3 nights at the Hideaway at the end of our trip and truly felt like we were fully able to unwind and relax there. We ate breakfast every day at their amazing café with delicious coffee, fresh juices and smoothies and bomb food (both local and Western options). Their bar has an epic happy hour from 6-8 with yummy BOGO drinks and the restaurant was some of the best food we had during our entire trip. We also enjoyed relaxing by the pool on the back of the property and took a yoga class one morning which was quite relaxing. Their service was also impeccable with very helpful staff. We became close with a few of the employees there during our short stay - we loved Mathy and Hetti! Would 100% recommend and stay again!
