I had a fantastic experience here! The hotel is exceptionally clean throughout, which I truly appreciated. My room was spacious and beautifully maintained, feeling fresh and new. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a perfect night's sleep. Everything worked flawlessly, from the quiet air conditioning to the fast Wi-Fi. Highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable and spotless stay.

There's more to it than I expected. I thought it was a small hotel, but it turned out to be a Japanese-style hotel. I've always stayed at this chain and it's good value for money, but the breakfast this time was average. Everything else was good.

We had a fantastic experience staying in the family room with two sets of bunk beds, which comfortably accommodated our group of four. One of the most convenient aspects of our stay was the seamless check-in process. We arrived quite late, around 10:00 PM, but because we had completed the online check-in beforehand, we simply used the provided password for easy access to our room. This self-check-in was a huge relief after a long day of travel! The room itself was spotlessly clean and felt very welcoming. We were also impressed with the comprehensive amenities provided—everything we needed for a comfortable stay was right there. The hotel's location is excellent for travelers. It's very easy to get around, as it is situated close to the train/metro station (rail link). This made our sightseeing and trips around the city incredibly simple. Highly recommended for families or small groups looking for a clean, convenient, and easy-to-access accommodation!

Overall the staff were almost nice and helpful. But there was one staff on the night shift forced to speak Mandarin to us even we talked in English to him. He sounded rude and not willing to talk more and ask us to check in the room. The room was just ok to us in terms of size but it looked old and stains are found in the toilet. The carpet seemed not cleaned regularly and toilet bowl was not the smart toilet which disappointed us. We thought that the smart toilet was the standard in Japan. Never meet this kind of room type in Japan. The location was nice and convenient. It was very closed to Ebisu food street and Tsutenkaku Tower. There are many shopping areas so this location is very convenient.

If you’re a solo traveller and don’t mind a few scratches on the wall, this hotel is perfect for you. It’s very convenient—just a 5-minute walk to the lift down to the MRT station. The bed and room are surprisingly big and comfortable for Osaka standards. Also, the neighbourhood is quite lively and welcoming, with some interesting spots nearby if you’re looking to explore the local scene in the evening 😉

It wasn't exactly close to the station, but it was convenient and there were restaurants nearby, so I had no problems at all. The amenities in the guest room were new and I was able to use it comfortably. I was quite satisfied with the room for a solo business trip.

The hotel is very close to Shinsaibashi, about a 10-minute walk, and easy to find. It offers great value for money and is also very close to the subway station. While the hotel facilities aren't brand new, its location is excellent.

Really great! The front desk staff were also very good and patient! It's very close to Shinsaibashi, with a 7-Eleven right across the street and a FamilyMart nearby. The hotel is also very clean, well-equipped, and they provide fresh towels every day. I'll definitely book this place again next time!!!

This hotel is really great. It's about 300 meters from the subway station. To the left of the hotel, about 300-400 meters away, is the Osaka Prefectural Police Headquarters – super convenient if you're a Conan fan and want to visit! A little further on is Osaka Castle Park, which is a lovely walk. The room was clean and not small; two 26-inch suitcases could lie flat. The front desk staff spoke English, were very patient, and communication was seamless. It seems to be a church-affiliated hotel, as many Europeans and Americans were staying there. They even have complimentary samples like facial cleanser and face cream at the front desk, which is a nice touch.

Coming from the airport, we took the Nankai Line to ”Tengachaya,” then transferred to the K-Line subway to Ebisuchō Station, which is very close. The hotel is right there when you exit. Actually, there's no need to book breakfast at the hotel; it's a set meal. There's a FamilyMart right across the street, and downstairs, there's a local udon noodle shop (Men no Sho Tsurumaru Udon (Nipponbashi store)) with a few tables and reasonable prices, so breakfast isn't necessary. We actually couldn't get used to their breakfast, FamilyMart is better. It's about a 20-minute walk to Shinsaibashi and Namba. To get to Kyoto, you can take the Keihan Electric Railway from Yodoyabashi.

GGuest UserCompared to places back home, it's definitely on the smaller side, but for Japan, the size is actually quite acceptable. It wasn't as cramped or dated as I'd imagined. With the lights on, it felt quite cozy, and the window provided good natural light. My only minor gripes were the lack of complimentary water and that housekeeping only came every three days. On the plus side, there's a 7-Eleven nearby, which is super convenient, and it's also very close to Tenkachaya Station. The neighborhood is residential and felt very safe, completely unlike what some online comments suggest about the 'western district' being full of homeless people; even at 9 or 10 PM, there were no drunks or homeless individuals around. Luggage storage is under camera surveillance with no staff supervision, which initially made me a little worried, but my bags were perfectly safe after half a day. All in all, it's very affordable and offers excellent value for money. 🫶

MM41230****I booked this hotel quite last minute before my trip, and I was pleasantly surprised by how great it was. After reading some reviews, I opted for a twin room for more space, and even though it's near a main road, it was very quiet at night. The room was clean and tidy, and housekeeping came daily. The hotel offers a variety of self-service toiletries you can pick up, and a special touch I appreciated was the complimentary overnight face masks. Downstairs, there's a large AEON food supermarket, and the Shiyobashi Subway Station Exit 2 is just a short walk away. Getting to Shinsaibashi only takes a few minutes. It's incredibly convenient for getting anywhere – truly a hotel that has it all!

GGuest UserWe had a quad room with 4 large beds. The room is great generous size for a family of 4 with a shared dining table in the middle. It was very clean and modern. We would surely stay here again. Convenient location within walking distance of attractions in the area. Subway directly under. No need to pay for breakfast with 7-11 on the ground floor as well as so many eateries nearby.

MMaria CharoThe hotel is in between Shinsaibashi Station and Nagahoribashi Station. The staff are polite and friendly. The room is decent size for two people, though 2 open luggages can only be done halfway open, but sti ok. There’s free hot & cold drinks at the lounge area which is open from 5am to 12mn. The buffet breakfast is nice, mostly local Japanese foods (which we like), i can say that the cereal can be considered western. 😁 There’s a family mart just 2-5mins walk. And you can also walk to Namba from the hotel. Overall, it is a good hotel choice when in Osaka.

DDr. Justin HattThis hotel appears to have recently been purchased by the LiveMax Group and so, it was really challenging trying to find this location when I first arrived because the name on trip.com had changed, but the name on various map applications still referred to the original name. The location itself is pretty much halfway between two metro stations, so it is a little bit of a walk away from a station, which is a bit of a problem when you have luggage, although this can easily be rectified by getting a taxi using Uber or another similar application. One thing to note about the location that might be a concern for some particular guests is that there are a lot of bars and locations nearby, including one neighbouring location, that provide explicit services for more “mature” audiences. Generally speaking, though, there were no issues that came up, particularly with the location itself as it remained generally quiet, and Japan is usually considered a safer location for visiting anyway. Staff at the hotel can speak some English, which is good, and they are very helpful. Their service was great throughout. There is also a breakfast buffet every morning, and they serve a wide variety of foods in this buffet; the only thing you need to watch out for is to make sure that you eat everything that you take because they have a clear sign posted to tell you that they will charge a fee if you waste food unnecessarily. The hotel does have a laundromat below ground level, but I did not see much else for amenities. The hotel offers house cleaning daily, but you must request it at reception before 10 AM; otherwise, they will not service your room. The room itself was small, but I understood this going into the hotel and as a solo traveler, this was reasonable. There is a capsule style washroom in the room, similar to other hotels I have visited in Osaka, with a full toilet with bidet features And a tap that works for the sink and bathtub both. The bathtub, however, was smaller at one end and was more challenging to use, especially for me as someone who is a little bit bigger, although not impossible. The one major issue I had, though, was with the ventilation above the bathtub, which clearly was caked in dust; I was able to clean out the dust myself, but I did require house cleaning immediately after. I did have to request house cleaning a few times during the stay, not solely for the issue of the dust, but also because the towels that were provided were not very thick and so, needed to be replaced more often.

GGuest UserIt is just opposite Bentencho Station, just across the street, and the transportation is very convenient. It takes 20 minutes to get to Universal by subway. Tips: When transferring, you can get off directly on the opposite side and transfer, which is very convenient, and their train schedules are well matched, so you don't have to wait for the train. There are two 711s downstairs, a life 350m away, and a Don Quijote 900m away. You can also take the subway to Osaka Station for shopping, which is also very convenient! The hotel's breakfast is free for guests! No need to spend extra money, don't book the one with breakfast! The room has a bathtub, and there are free bath salts on the first floor. I saw a comment about the problem of storing luggage for money, because we left in the morning, so we didn't store it. However, all subway stations have storage machines (charged), you can pay attention to it.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel environment is actually very good, but this is the first time I've encountered something like this! Around midnight, the hotel alarm blared, and everyone rushed downstairs, barely dressed. 1. There was no one at the front desk, and I couldn't reach anyone by phone. Even Trip.com couldn't get through to them. Although there was no actual incident... 2. ...it was actually other guests who called the fire department and security to investigate. The entire process lasted 50 minutes. No staff member came out to explain or reassure us. We were completely without service, and guests had to sort things out among themselves. Furthermore, there was no compensation or explanation given.

RRowell SantiagoI recently stayed at Hotel Cargo Shinsaibashi during my trip to Osaka, and I was pleasantly surprised by the comfort and quality packed into this compact, capsule-style accommodation. One of the biggest highlights of my stay was the toilet and bathroom area — exceptionally clean, modern, and cozy. Despite being a shared facility, everything was spotless and well-maintained at all times. The design was sleek, and the space felt more like a boutique hotel than a budget capsule. The toilets are equipped with Japan’s signature high-tech bidet functions, and the overall cleanliness really exceeded my expectations. Even the subtle lighting and warm wood tones added to the relaxing feel every time I used the bathroom. The rest of the hotel was equally impressive. The capsules were comfortable, quiet, and felt more private than I expected. The lounge area was a nice place to relax or do a bit of planning for the day. Plus, the location is perfect — just a short walk from Shinsaibashi shopping street and a quick train ride to most Osaka hotspots. If you’re looking for a well-designed, clean, and cozy place to stay in Osaka, I highly recommend Hotel Cargo Shinsaibashi. Especially if you value hygiene and comfort in shared facilities, this hotel delivers above and beyond.

MM224157****The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and it was quiet. The location is quite convenient, close to all the popular attractions. The front desk staff had excellent service. Due to personal reasons, I had to go to Tokyo for two days, but I was returning to this hotel for my last night. The hotel helped me store my luggage for two days, which allowed me to explore Tokyo hassle-free. I was very happy about that. Although the hotel breakfast didn't have a huge variety, the ingredients were good.

HH2_Q2The facilities and hygiene are on par with a typical budget hotel, but considering the price, I can't really complain. The location is excellent, just a 10-minute walk from Umeda, with plenty of dining, entertainment, and shopping options nearby. Definitely recommend it.
