First of all, the location is great, right at the intersection of Matsuyama Castle Shopping Street and Okaido Shopping Street, with a tram in front
The room I was given this time was great, a large 3-person room, clean and beautiful, with separate wet and dry bathrooms, and quiet at night
Paid mechanical parking is available in the basement
The room was quite small, and the view from the window was a messy cityscape. You couldn't even see Matsuyama Castle from the room. Both the bedding and breakfast were of mediocre quality, which meant it wasn't great value for money.
However, the location was excellent. From Matsuyama Station, you can take tram line 3 or 5 to Okaido, and the hotel is just a two-minute walk from the tram stop. The hotel is surrounded by various dining options and is very close to department stores.
Breakfast spread is good and service staff attentive.
Location is within walking distance to Takashimaya and JR Matsumaya Station.
Bathroom is of decent size by Japanese standard.
Only issue is parking is not within the hotel and had to park 50m away and hence loading/unloading of luggage is a bit troublesome
The bed and breakfast was satisfactory for this trip. The breakfast combines Japanese and Western styles, including curry rice, fried eggs, grilled fish, miso soup, etc. It is rich and delicious, bringing energy to the day. Although the room is not big, it is simple and clean in design, fully equipped, and the lighting and natural light create a comfortable atmosphere. The luggage was neatly placed, indicating a smooth check-in. The overall feeling is warm and relaxing, and it is a pleasant stay experience.
Very impressive arranegment and hospitality. I had a cycling accident in Seto inland sea and requested a delay checkin. The hotel texted me to offer assistance. Upon knowing my injury, the hotel upgraded me to a big private room for which i did not have to walk upstairs to my room and there was a private bath room inside. When i arrived at late night, all food were well prepared on table whilst fresh sushi were stored in the fridge. The hotel is a traditional Japanese hostel with warm hospitality and nice massage facilities. Surely will pick it when travel there again.
Very close to the station, just a few steps away without luggage. The hotel has free drinks, but the selection is relatively small. The hotel opened last year, so everything is new and the design is relatively modern. The bed and toilet are relatively large, but there is not much standing space in the room, and the suitcases are not easy to open. The bathhouse is also designed in a relatively modern way, and the water temperature feels about 43 degrees, which is quite hot. I was the only one eating this morning, and the waiter kept bringing the dishes to my side and asked if I wanted more, which was very enthusiastic. In the end, I really couldn't eat anymore. There are some local cuisines.
The location is very convenient, just above the Uwajima JR station, and you can even walk directly through the station hall. It's not far from Uwajima Castle. The room is large enough for one person, and the front desk has a lot of supplies, including water and drink coupons. We didn't choose the 1800 yen breakfast, so we had it at Lawson across from the station.
Very well located hotel in Dogo Onsen. Shops and restaurants around the corner. Few minutes walk to the Dogo station (tram and bus). Free good coffee for breakfast (even if you don’t buy breakfast (not expensive)). Helpful staff. Smallish room with excellent bed and shower/bath. Very good Price-Quality.
On the ‘hill’ behind the Honkan Onsen (seen from the hotel) there is an Information. They have some free short walks printed. There is also a free footbath with a view on the Honkan (and the Patio hotel).
Famous temple 51 is 20-30 minutes walk from the hotel or take a bus.
The best central hotel you'll find. Fantastic value for money, the hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly. It's only a few streets away from a massive shopping district including restaurants, so you won't have to go far when you're hungry. There's a tram station very nearby so you can get to Dogo Onsen easily.
The internet in the room is a godsend. Most hotels skimp on the internet so you can only load one webpage an hour, and it makes looking up day trip ideas and booking things a huge pain. At this hotel I had no issues with it. This made it the best hotel for a 'home base' to plan day trips from.
Beware Google Maps getting here, it points you to the southern side of the block, the entrance to this hotel is on the northern side of the block.
It's a little far from the free shuttle drop off point, but it's so quiet that it's so good. Soundproofing is good, beds are fluffy. I saw a high school right in front of me, so I had a friendly and lively atmosphere. The bath water temperature was hot, and the free disposable razor was good. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were friendly.

Great
JJINABreakfast is Japanese home style, and the side dishes changed little by little during 3 nights. I eat breakfast on the 10th floor, and the view is really the best! The room is a bit small, but all the Japanese accommodations are small, so it wasn't particularly small. The bath is so good and there is an open-air bath in the large bath. It's small, but the sauna is good. There is a private hot spring on the 10th floor, but I enjoyed it because I didn't know it. The location is in the middle of Okaido, so you have to go down a little from the bus stop, but it's so good that there are Don Quixote right in front of you and there are many restaurants around. You can go down the main road of Okaido, so you can move easily even in the rain. I will go here again next time.

GGuest UserHotel has some distance from the main Dogo mall but it has shuttle bus running every 10 mins from 3-10. Hotel itself is very clean and most of the staff were so friendly and carried traditional Japanese good manner.
My room is Japanese style and I love it. The breakfast was ok but the dinner was abundant, delicious and presented nicely. The staff named Itsuki Deguchi who took care my check in and dining service did a good job worthy to receive compliments.
Onsen was clean and very nice.
Will stay again next time
GGuest UserThe owner's wife and a female staff member gave us a very detailed explanation. The facilities were very clean. There was a designated bicycle parking shed, so we felt safe.
The hostel was nice, so we were able to relax and enjoy our stay.
