Good value art deco hotel for a three night stay. Exceptional breakfast. Not very helpful pre advice about location. So…
If you are coming from Helsinki port (eg ferry from Tallinn), get the tram 7T to Kaisaniemenpuisto. Then a short walk to the hotel. Tap and pay at the ticket machine for €3.20 one way, zone AB.
From Helsinki airport, get the train to Helsinki main train station, 33 mins, tap and go, zone ABC. To get there walk down the road for 7 to 10 mins; contemplate some cobbled streets when wheeling luggage, but not an issue.
NB Helsinki Kampii is the main BUS/COACH terminal that you may use to go to Porvoo for a wonderful daytrip; a bit more of a walk from the Arthur Hotel ( use Google maps). Not to be confused with the Art Deco train station. All are walkable.
Finally, a visit to Suomenlinna (zone AB tap & go) is recommended along with Senate Square/the Cathedral & the Russian Cathedral.
Great restaurant for Finnish food and beer under €7 is Ravintola Kolme Kruunua. Lovely shops at the harbour stalls & Craft Corner. Take a walk down the Esplanade.

When I booked, I fancy this hotel with a good location, right next to the tikkurila train station. It is very convenient to stay in whether it is from the airport or by train from another city. Finnish hotels are not cheap, and this chain is not bad. There are still some tableware and kettles in the room, you can take a light meal, but the range hood really didn't understand it, there is no pipe, and the smoke is directly from the top. The smoke is still in the room. Self-service check-in, no front desk, poor survivability is a bit challenging. The hotel has a shared washing machine, which is good.

The room's air conditioning was inadequate, making it quite stuffy in the summer. I went down to the lobby to call the reception, but the phone rang endlessly with no one answering (it didn't seem like they offered 24-hour service). Lobby phones are complimentary. However, do not use your personal phone to call reception, as it costs €0.79 per minute. The hotel is inexpensive, so it's acceptable given the price. Its main advantage is the convenient transport links.
It was easily accessible from tram line 3, and it was a perfect location for sightseeing in the city as it was about a block away from the nearest stop.
There are several restaurants and cafes nearby, so you don't have to worry about eating near the hotel.
A supermarket is also nearby.
I arrived at around 8:00 to leave my luggage for the time being because I had an early morning flight, but they prepared my room right away.
The receptionists are very kind.
The rooms are very clean.
I stayed on December 14th, but there was already a lot of snow outside and the temperature was -7°C even during the day.
The room was warm and comfortable with a panel heater. I think it's hot at night.
I was able to rest quietly at night because it does not face the main street or the tram road.
Breakfast is simple and sufficient.
There were breads, yogurts, cinnamon rolls, flakes, salads, bacon, scrambled eggs, fruit and more.
I would like to use it again next time.

Location was very central, can easily walk to most of the attractions. Had food, bars, and shopping centers around the hotel. Room was extremely spacious as well.
There is a shuttle bus from the airport, which you can get on at bus stop 42. It seems to run about every 30 minutes, which is helpful.
Check-in was smooth, and all you had to do was give your date of birth, passport number, address, name of your companion, and sign. The receptionist also spoke slowly in English, so I was able to understand, thank you.
After that, I asked if there was hot water and printed out my boarding pass, and when I went down the stairs, there was a water boiler and a microwave, so I used them, and a male staff member also said I could use a fork, so I was able to eat instant noodles for dinner.
They also readily agreed to print my boarding pass, which was very helpful.
As other people have written in their reviews, it's a problem that the last shuttle bus to the airport is at 8:55, and I wish it would run at least until check-out time.
But in Helsinki, I was able to call a taxi with Uber, so it was okay, it was only 9€!
Fully self-contained apartment hotel. There is no front desk, enter with a password. The room is quite big, clean, tidy and comfortable, with pots and pans for cooking. The whole room is full of Scandinavian design. Suitable for a family of four to six people. Good hotel, recommended!

FFu旅Highly recommended for anyone staying in Helsinki!
Located between the airport and Helsinki Central Station.
The rooms are very clean and spacious, with a kitchen so you can cook your own meals. ✨ There's also a washing machine, and you can hang your laundry in the room! The train noise is a bit of a concern, but other than that it's not a problem. There's a large supermarket at the nearest station, so you can stock up on souvenirs. There's also a nice sauna. 🧖♀️
There's a large kitchen at the front desk, so some guests even cooked and had food delivered to their rooms! You can live just like at home!
EExplorerOneVery nice experience staying in this hotel. The price is good and the service is seamless. Thanks to the fast and smart self check-in machine, I can get to my room with few minutes.
Highly recommend this hotel
YYassuA relatively cheap hotel with a good location.
There were many restaurants nearby so we could easily go out to eat.
Laundry was free and laundry detergent was provided.
On the last day, I had a problem with the toilet in my room breaking down on its own and the water kept flowing, but they fixed it by email.
MMr Malek AhmadOur stay at Omena Hotel Helsinki was absolutely fantastic! The hotel’s self-service concept was seamless and convenient, perfect for our family trip. The rooms were clean, modern, and spacious, offering great comfort after a day of exploring the city. The central location made it easy to access Helsinki’s top attractions, shops, and restaurants. We appreciated the 24/7 accessibility and the hassle-free check-in/check-out process. The value for money is exceptional, and the quiet atmosphere ensured a relaxing stay. Highly recommend Omena Hotel for families seeking a stress-free, comfortable, and budget-friendly experience in Helsinki. We’ll definitely return!
GGuest UserThis place was super cool. I loved the little cafe, communal area and workspaces. This is such a great concept, the gym was outstanding too! The studio was near as a pin, the kitchen had everything I needed too.
