The room isn't huge, but the facilities are brand new and the air conditioning works perfectly. Breakfast is quite tasty too. Plus, there's a subway station right nearby. Highly recommended! If you're visiting this area and prefer to avoid the city center, this is an excellent choice.
It's great that there's a Carrefour Market nearby!
The room was larger than I expected, which was nice, and the bedding was clean. Unfortunately, there weren't any wine glasses or a corkscrew, so I went to the bar across the street and asked for someone to open a bottle of wine, and they did so with great courtesy.
The staff were friendly, and after check-out, they let me store my luggage in a locker until the end of the day. Check-out was also at noon, which was generous.
1. The room is relatively large, clean and hygienic, with good soundproofing. Closing the balcony door can almost achieve silence, and it is also very quiet at night facing the street;
2. The L1 line subway station is very close, and Barcelona subway travel is very convenient, and it is very important to be close to the subway station;
3. From Barcelona Airport T1 Terminal to the hotel, you can choose Airport Bus A1 (Bell Stop Bus), and the drop-off point is 550 meters away from the hotel on foot, which is convenient, fast and economical;
4. The breakfast variety is good, and the food variety is basically updated every 3 days;
5. There is a large food supermarket downstairs City, we bought 8-liter bottled water downstairs for six days (Barcelona tap water smells very bad);
6. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful;
7. The hotel construction has not yet been completed (March 2025), the construction time is about 09:00-17:00, and the impact is not great;
8. The room air conditioning (Daikin air conditioning, heating is very good) is very effective, almost no noise, and the room temperature can be controlled at an ideal level;
9. All in all, we are very satisfied, and sincerely thank all the staff of Athena Calabria Apartment Hotel!
Very good hotel, a few years ago because of work, after four years, it is still very good, the environment is very good, the staff is very good, the room is very clean
The room was clean and comfortable. We stayed here with friends and were quite happy overall. My only minor point is that the price felt a bit steeper compared to my previous visits to Spain. However, that's understandable given the high inflation across Europe.
Extremely well located.Made my stay perfect due to location near the Marina. The hotel itself very clean.The receptionist Edina was very friendly, helpful and made my stay very enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel.

Room was housed in an adjoining building. There was a slight inconvenience to walk to the room as there was an internal flight of stairs. Hence, if you have heavy luggage, you should consider requesting for a room in the main building.
Breakfast was good.
Location was convenient. And the rooms were quiet for a good night’s rest.

The room is relatively small; the breakfast is OK; the side not facing the street is relatively quiet, and you can see the Sagrada Familia from the room; it is relatively close to Gaudi's three-piece suite, a 10-15 minute walk; the hotel does not have a laundry room, but you can go to the self-service laundry room on the street downstairs to wash your clothes. There is a small supermarket and a pharmacy downstairs, so it is convenient to buy things; there is a casserole dish near the hotel, which can comfort the Chinese stomach.

AAnonymous UserGood location, space is fine for couples travellers.
The reception is behind the hotel room which is little challenging to locate (next to the McD signboard).
Reception is very nice, breakfast is a buffet style and have good variety of choices!
GGuest UserAmazing Hotel . Stayed here 3 nights and the location was amazing . They have a pool which is cold during this season . However in the summer I’m sure it’s perfect . Also the rooms are decent size with opening windows and also they have amazing staff who keep your room tidy !
IitravelrussiaIf you are looking for good hotel in the city centre, you have found one. Excellent location near Plaza Cataluna, near La Rambla. Great staff, really felt welcome. Quite big room, especially for Barcelona. Hotel is historic, not luxurious, but this is ok. There are 24/7 free snacks and drinks available, which is superb option
GGuest UserThis hostel is disappointing overall. I thought this would be a good spot for digital nomads to socialise but it wasn’t.
The bunk bed in room 403 was completely sagged. If you have a sensitive lower back like me, you'd might end up the next morning with pain. This was the first time in a month of traveling that that happened. My second-hand IKEA couch at home feels more supportive than this bed.
The upper bunks also have no curtains or rails, so when someone turns on the light at night it shines straight into your eyes.
For work a stable connection is essential, but the Wi-Fi here was really poor.
The lockers are placed so high it’s hard to reach them if you’re short and carrying a big backpack.
Other small inconveniences: only one washing machine and one dryer, one hooks and no shelves in the shower to put your clothes, silverfish in the toilet, poor lighting at the sink (not great for makeup) and no clean bowls at breakfast. I had to eat my cereal out of a coffee mug. They also make you pay for luggage storage.
The air conditioning didn’t work in the common area (with almost no atmosphere), so I ended up sweating during my online meetings - and the Wi-Fi barely reached that space either.
I actually left at noon to work from a café instead.
The last straw was when a staff member insisted she’d given me a laundry token when she clearly hadn’t, and we had an awkward argument over it.
To be fair, the rest of the staff were kind and attentive. The breakfast team always greeted guests with a smile and the reception staff listened and even offered a small compensation after I explained my issues. I really wish I could rate it higher, but between the bad bed, weak Wi-Fi, and hot common areas, it just wasn’t a pleasant stay.
LLIHANGHotel with excellent location and friendly service, but lacking in other points.
The rooms are visibly more worn than what the pictures indicate, with some signs of damage to the shelving under the sink. Tellingly, no photographs of the bathroom were uploaded in the hotel’s advertising materials. The bathrooms were small, spartan, and featured a bathtub-shower combination. I found the bathroom to be dimly lit.
I found the layout of the room very bizarre and pretty uncomfortable, because there was no proper separation between the wet and dry areas. The bathroom door was a giant piece of sliding glass which felt cumbersome to use. Not sure why they didn’t just go with a simple wooden door.
The furniture is generally of low quality. The beds are on wheels and so easily move around if one tosses and turns in bed. The beds were uncomfortably hard in my view, and sheets were extremely thin and of low quality. Duvets were provided but these could not be inserted into the sheets, and so had to go over the top, making for an awkward experience. I had trouble sleeping most nights. Lacking in basic amenities such as room slippers and tissue paper (not even available upon request!)
The room has a Lavazza coffee maker and there was a great variety of teas and coffees, both capsules and instant kinds. The hotel lobby and common areas were nicely decorated and furnished. I found it strange that the hotel’s efforts seemed largely to be devoted to these areas, instead of improving the comfort of the rooms.
All in all it’s a serviceable room in a great location if you are not too particular about the conditions of the room.
Jjtg003Nice and clean hotel. Although a bit far from the city center. Friendly staff even the lady who cleans our room. Spacious room with angood pressure of water in the bathroom. Overall, I’m happy in my stay. 😊
IIceice26It is located in the heart of the city, just a 5-minute walk from lots of restaurant choices and tourist attractions like Casa Batlló and the Palau. The hotel has its style and very impressive stairs, making it a nice spot for photos. The room appears to have been renovated recently, so it feels quite new. The only area for improvement, in my view, is the air quality inside the building. Since it is a closed space, they used plenty of air freshener in the common area, which can be quite overwhelming.
MM&A uit NLPrima hotel op een perfecte plek als je in het centrum van Barcelona wilt verblijven. De mensen die er werkten waren heel behulpzaam en vriendelijk.
OOlya_OlhaHotel is located in the city centre, close to La Rambla, shops, restaurants, variety of public transport. We particularly enjoyed breakfast in the hotel. Thank you everyone for your help and great service.
SSequeira NThe place is quite big for a family. (we are a family of 5). Centrally located close to many attractions. The staff at the reception are very helpful and welcoming.
