We booked room 270. The window was large and open, offering a stunning sea view. Although the staff didn’t speak English, we communicated easily using a translation app — it wasn’t a problem at all. Everything was clean, and the room had smart features. There were convenient light and curtain controls right next to the bed, which made our stay even more comfortable. If you're planning a trip to the sea, this hotel has a truly luxurious view and a perfect location. It was both cozy and elegant. We're definitely ready to stay here again. Thank you!

The hotel is directly opposite the Bifengmen parking lot, and it's about a 20-minute walk to Lizheng Gate of the Mountain Resort. The quad room with bunk beds was very family-friendly for our family with two children. While the hotel's facilities are fairly basic, I must particularly praise their excellent 9.9 Mountain Resort day tour and the front desk staff. First, regarding the Mountain Resort day tour: it lasted a full 5 hours, and our guide, Xiao Qi, didn't waste a single minute. He provided thorough explanations, meticulously planned our route, and there were absolutely no sales pitches or additional charges. For such an honest and dedicated guide, the hotel deserves a huge commendation! And then there's the front desk staff – every single person was beaming with smiles. They offered detailed information, provided attentive service, and went above and beyond to assist with any request. They even helped us cut a watermelon we bought, booked tickets for a show, and thoughtfully provided cushions for us as we were heading out. Truly heartwarming service! Hidden gem: Just down the stairs next to the hotel is the Temple of Confucius. Plus, there's a highly popular lamb soup spot nearby, serving delicious *shaobing* (sesame flatbreads)!

Nice hotel...Very nice location, just in between the railway station and Tienyi mall, which is at 5 minutes walking distance. Their breakfast is not served in the hotel but outside on a public square and it is way below the average. It looks more like lunch, it is too greasy and unhealthy. They should exclude this unealthy breakfast from their price, i.e. decrease the price for 15 rmb, and make it optional. Whoever wants can pay these 15rmb and eat that garbage.

Our first visit to Chengde left us with a truly wonderful impression, starting with the warm welcome at the hotel's front desk. Though the hotel entrance isn't grand, the service provided by the two young ladies at the front desk was absolutely five-star caliber. They patiently explained potential itineraries and offered incredibly thoughtful service. The front desk even upgraded our two rooms and thoughtfully arranged for us to stay right next door to each other. While the rooms aren't spacious, they are fully equipped and very cozy. Housekeeping, in particular, was exceptional; even the remote controls had fresh protective film. The genuine warmth and thoughtfulness of the local people made us feel incredibly comfortable. Chengde truly lives up to its reputation as a welcoming city rich in history and culture. We'll definitely be back for another visit!

This hotel experience was fantastic! The room was clean and comfortable, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the view from the window was pleasant. The front desk service was warm and attentive, and check-in was quick. The breakfast was rich and delicious, and the value for money was great. I would stay here again next time!

This was one of the best hotels I have stayed in China. It is world class. The staff are some welcoming and helpful. Although I don’t speak any Chinese they made every effort to communicate with me. We used translate Apps. Everyone was super nice. The room was very large, new and I loved the Tea Station. I have never seen one like this. The location is superb. Right in the middle of the historic village but it is very quiet at night. The breakfast was simple but satisfying. I recommend staying here and would love to come back.

First choice for business trips! The room is spacious and bright, the desks and chairs are highly comfortable, the high-speed Wi-Fi is super stable, and the facilities and equipment are complete. It is clean and tidy, and the location is very close to the subway station. There are convenience stores and restaurants downstairs, which is very convenient for travel. The front desk checked in quickly and efficiently, and could also help print documents. The details were perfect, the service staff was warm and considerate, and the breakfast was rich and delicious. This price is the best value for money to be able to live in such a quality! It is super worry-free for work and travel!

There are 4 hotels in one building, and the ”Grey Whale” is on the 20th floor, and the self-service laundry room and fitness room are on the 21st floor. A very comfortable hotel to stay in! Whether it is the beauties in the front hall or the handsome guys at the gate, the service is very warm, thoughtful and considerate~ I live in 216. There is a threshold at the door, and the robot can't get up. It was the handsome guy in the front hall who ran up to send me~ When checking out, Ms. Wang in the front hall was patient and considerate~ The room was clean and hygienic, of moderate size, and I was given an upgrade. The mattress was a mousse one~ (professional habit... I even looked through other people's mattresses...), the breakfast was rich, with everything you need, but I went a little late... some dishes were out 😂 Because I have been working in the hotel industry and I travel frequently on business, I am quite picky about hotels within the reimbursement range. This is one of the hotels I particularly liked that I stayed in recently. The only thing is that it is a little far from the city center, but it is only 1 km away from Zhangjiakou Station... Anyway, I will definitely stay here again next time I come!
