Facilities: Though a bit dated, the facilities are very well-maintained. My only minor gripe was the bathroom toilet; it was incredibly small—quite possibly the smallest I've encountered in Japan—making it genuinely inconvenient to use.
Cleanliness: Excellent.
View: The hotel's top floor offers panoramic views of Hiroshima city.
Service: Excellent.
Great size for a family stay, but cleanliness needs work
We stayed at Nest Hotel Hiroshima Ekimae during our recent trip, and overall it was a solid choice. One thing I appreciated and that lines up with many of the other reviews, is the hotel’s convenient location, just a short walk from Hiroshima Station, and the modern, compact design that works well for short stays.
I was pleasantly surprised by the room size, especially for Japan, it was perfect for me and my two sons. We had enough space to move around and sleep comfortably, which can be rare in city hotels.
That said, I was pretty disappointed with them not having converter plugs and the cleanliness, particularly under the bed. I have bad allergies, and as soon as I laid down, I started feeling them flare up. Later, I dropped an earbud and had to reach under the bed to retrieve it, that’s when I noticed the thick layer of dust and dirt in the areas that aren’t immediately visible. Definitely not what I’d expect from a hotel of this standard.
If they tighten up the cleaning routine (especially in hidden spots), this could easily be a 4 or 5-star stay. Until then, I’d say it’s a good pick for short trips, just maybe pack some allergy meds if you’re sensitive like me.
It was one of the best hotels I ever slept in Japan. Usually, we try 3 to 5 star hotels in every local capital city. This one is of course famous Prince hotel but it is quite away from the city center yet situated in the most beautiful area of Hiroshima. From the hotel rooms we could see the skyline of the town and the sea.
Breakfast is served on the top floor you can choose traditional Japanese (Nadaman/super famous Japanese restaurant) or western style buffet breakfast.
With a little supplemental fee, I could go to Onsen (hotspring) and it was soo relaxing and the view was stunning. You even can sail to Miyajima island from this hotel port.
Superb service and hotel facilities! I was allowed to check-in 2h in advance, which was very convenient. Nice view from the large window in the room. The only downside being the hotel location, which is about 25 minutes away by foot from Hiroshima’s main attractions.
Location is great. Close to tram, train and bus stations. Walking distance to Hiroshima castle. Staffs are all friendly and check in checkout is quick. Breakfast has many varieties. Stay here for 3 nights. The automated laundry machine helps a lot.
Overall very satisfied with the hotel, will consider it if come again. Thanks a lot to all hotel staffs.
Came back to this place a second time. Breakfast was outstanding. We had a river view room which was on the 15th floor - spectacular view. We were fortunate and got a double (maybe slightly larger - almost a queen sized) bed. The room was not huge but it was big enough, we weren't cramped. The only real downside is there is no onsen or swimming pool. The staff are friendly and helpful. We would come back again.
Beautiful hotel with a relaxing atmosphere. Room are clean and comfortable. Staff are all very friendly and welcoming. Enjoyed the afternoon tea and evening cocktails at the Iounge. Highly Recommended!
Great place to stay in Hiroshima. The room was quite spacious (by japanese standards). Easy to get there from the station by bus, the memorial park and peace museum are within walking distance. The breakfast was very good, with plenty of dishes to choose from, and everything was tasty. There is also a coffee machine in the lobby and we got complimentary apple jelly in our fridge. Soaking in the onsen was great after a long day in Hiroshima and Miyajima, the place was also clean and there was everything necessary for a bath.
This was our first stay in Dormy Inn, and I would definitely choose this chain again.

The location is very good, just a few minutes walk to the Itsukushima Shinto Shrine and Mt. Misen Ropeway station. There is a free shuttle bus station right outside the hotel to go the ropeway station. You can see the Torii throughout the hotel window. At night when the Torii with lights on, the view is stunning! The indoor onsen is not big but it's ok for 10+ people at the same time, the outside onsen is small and can only occupies 4-5ppl.
The staff in the hotel are very friendly and thoughtful. I was fully wet after the hiking to Mt. Mismen on the raining day, they helped me to dry all my shoes and coat. Happy to stay at Iwaso and will definitely stay again.

GGuest UserDon’t listen to the reviews! I almost cancelled my booking here due to some of the reviews of this hotel online, but we had a brilliant time at this hotel! It is in a very convenient location, has a lovely private onsen that you can book by the hour (as well as a free public onsen), and the buffet was one of the best buffets we have had! The buffet even included fresh seafood (shrimp, oyster, scallops etc) that you could grill yourself on the table in front of you.
Highly recommend this hotel for a night in Miyajima.

葛葛安杰Very convenient for the concert venue bunka hall. Right next to peace park. If you want to grab the boat to Miyajima also nearby and you have the tram around the corner too. Location is perfect, the restaurant downstairs is very cool, very happening and the bar upstairs is a nice place to chill if it isn’t raining. Highly recommend

GGuest UserExcellent stay, 3 mns from Hiroshima station. There's a 7/11 in the building and a supermarket next door.
The hotel itself is located on 13th (lobby) and up, the view is great. The room is super clean with a big bathroom. Amenities are great, except they do not provide shower cap anymore. Also, you need to goto reception to get your coffee. Will definitely stay with Daiwa Roynet chain again
SSharon Tang (Sharon 852)Traditional ryukan with futon beds and shared public baths with buffet breakfast and dinner included. Whilst I enjoyed my first ryukan experience it may not be for everyone, the building is older and the cost is quite pricey for a family in my case anyway. Would still come again. We stayed here for two nights. The island is beautiful and I had a nice view of the rabbits and the ocean from the window. You can also rent bicycles at a reasonable cost. They don't sell rabbit food so you might want to prepare your own before you come to the island. I'm vegan and whilst they did say to ask the staff to show you which items were vegan at the buffets there really wasn't much choice especially at dinner. Maybe I should have made a special request before I arrived. There's no vegan food available for lunch at the cafe, so you'd need to bring your own food

GGuest UserTrust Hotel is located a short distance from the Hiroshima Train Station. The Hotel interior is modern, as are the rooms. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The rooms was comfortable and clean, with a coffee pod machine & coffee pod and bottle of water both complimentary. The breakfast selection was good and had a mix of western and traditional foods. The bathroom allowed the option of either using as a separate shower or bath (previous hotels required you to use the bath as a shower). Appreciated that the power socket also came with a USB port, making it a lot easier to charge my phone direct through this port.
