The room size is typical for a city hotel, with just enough space to open one large suitcase. However, the hotel's service is exceptional. Don't let its slightly dated appearance fool you; it has a washing machine and dryer on the top floor, and the overall service is truly outstanding.
I arrived quite early on July 8th and checked in at the front desk. After leaving my luggage to go out for a meal, I was pleasantly surprised to find my bags already delivered to my room when I returned for my key – a really nice touch! Housekeeping was also thorough, tidying the room and making the bed daily.
The hotel entrance is on the second floor. I was a bit confused initially when navigating there, thinking I'd made a mistake, until I spotted a sign on the building indicating the front desk was indeed upstairs.
A surprising highlight was the quality of the disposable razor they provide. As someone with a thick, coarse beard who shaves daily, I usually find hotel razors inadequate and plan to buy my own. But this one was incredibly comfortable and shaved very cleanly without any irritation – arguably the best I've ever used in a hotel! I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Nagoya.
The location is fantastic too, less than a ten-minute walk from the subway station. Plus, with a FamilyMart to the left and a 7-Eleven to the right downstairs, snacks and drinks are always readily available whenever hunger strikes.

This hotel is conveniently located near Nagoya TV Tower in the bustling downtown area, about 500-600 meters from the subway station and two stops from the city center, making it great for sightseeing and shopping. You can even walk to Nagoya Castle and the Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology. The breakfast is quite substantial, and the rooms are clean. In the evenings, there are plenty of affordable and delicious restaurants and pubs nearby. It's an excellent choice for a stay in Nagoya.

The hotel is located near Nagoya Sakae Station, about a 3-minute walk after exiting the station. It offers incredible value for money. Firstly, its downtown location provides excellent transportation links. Secondly, the hotel's facade and decor are so impressive that I had to double-check several times upon arrival to confirm it was indeed the hotel I booked. The room was clean and tidy, and the facilities were sufficient. While breakfast isn't included, there's a great restaurant in the hotel lobby, and Sakae Station and its surroundings boast numerous restaurants and shops, making it very convenient.

The Vessel Inn Sakae in Nagoya is a truly excellent hotel, offering a fantastic experience thanks to its incredibly helpful staff, prime location in the vibrant Sakae area, and thoughtful amenities. Guests will appreciate the convenience of a 7-Eleven located directly beneath the hotel, the unique benefit of free space available after 2 AM, and complimentary drinks, all contributing to a comfortable and highly convenient stay in the heart of the city.

There were some issues with communication at the front desk. Initially, when checking in, I was given a room on the top floor and thought it was a pleasant surprise due to a previous request I'd made to the hotel. However, after trying two different key cards and failing to open the door, I returned to the front desk. It turned out their internal card information didn't match the room number they'd given me, and I had to wait through several rounds of discussion and resolution. I've stayed in many places, but this is the first time I've encountered such a situation, and there was no further communication or explanation afterward.
Breakfast arrangements were also quite odd. Despite the long queue of guests in the morning, staff only communicated with the first group in line, and no one came out to explain how long the wait would be or how many people were ahead. When we finally got seated, we noticed there were actually empty tables inside, but for some reason, we were made to wait for a long time without any explanation. This was quite an unexpected experience during a trip with friends; we really couldn't understand these operational choices.

It’s a very classy hotel and it’s been around long enough to show it. It sits right on top of the Meitetsu bus center. We didn’t utilize the bus the first few nights we stayed here but once we did, we understood why this hotel is so popular. The accessibility to the bus center is very nice.
With the age of this hotel, it retains the premium real estate space per room that just doesn’t really exist at this price point in more recent hotels. I wouldn’t say it’s as roomy as the average American motel but there is a noticeable difference of additional room compared to your average business hotel.
Amenities were limited but it had enough for what we needed. Technology wise, the rooms are still equipped with TVs from the Stone Age but this wasn’t a negative for us and we hardly utilized the TV.
Shower and tub were standard though the bidet tech was a bit dated. It’ll still get the job done cleaning you up though.
No issues with check in or check out. Staff were kind and even let us check in a few minutes earlier than scheduled.
If you enjoy the shops around the station, the hotel elevators go all the way down to the basement shopping arcade which also connects you to many of the other buildings in the area. You never really have to go outside.
We heard this hotel will undergo renovation next year. I wish the best for all the staff involved and look forward to see the new improvements the next time I’m able to stay here.
pretty hotel, looks like a palace. room was very big for the price. beware because the hotel is NOT in nagoya, it is in a neighboring city, and transportation from and to nagoya is quite expensive and the trains don’t come that often. there is a shinkansen station right in front of it, there is no need to go to nagoya station. the room was big and comfortable, the walls in my room were a bit dirty but it had a very nice and pretty balcony, tv with youtube and streaming services. bed was very comfortable and hotel has great service, i just wouldnt stay again because of the location.
I stayed at this hotel on the first day of my trip. The overall facilities were very nice and the service was great.
The room was also very clean, and the lounge was especially impressive.
Guests were able to use it for free within a set time, and it was great to be able to relax while enjoying various alcoholic beverages and coffee.
The gym facilities were also great.
If I visit Toyohashi again, I would like to stay a little longer. Thank you!
Good value with exceptional service
We were extremely satisfied with the services and had a delightful experience in that hotel.
Our package included room, breakfast and dinner. Due to a minor traffic incident, we were unable to meet our dinner time of 6:00 pm. We contacted the hotel and they kindly accommodated us and provided attentive service. We were deeply touched by their care and consideration.
The assistance to report of the traffic incident to the local insurance company was unexpectedly smooth with the help of the staff. The language proficiency of the staff was impressive, as they efficiently resolved language-related issues we faced.
Furthermore, the traditional charm of the hotel exceeded our expectations and added to our enjoyment - good value.
We will recommend the hotel to others and look forward to visiting again in the future.
Special thanks to Ms. Oromo Rie, Mr. Toyama, and the staff responsible for our meals.

Location is perfect right next to Kanayama train station which is connected to train and subway network. The staff were polite and helpful. Just one issue during our stay: We booked a three-bedroom where a sofa bed was not fully flat. I slept for the first night feeling discomfort at low back. We called the hotel service desk and the lady staff was very helpful to add a layer of blanket underneath the mattress to help. While it’s not perfect but it still felt better for remaining few nights of sleep. Suggest the hotel to review this issue especially for guest staying for a few nights.

CCrystalismThe hotel is conveniently located right at the airport, just 3-5 minutes walk to the check-in counters… perfect for travelers with early flights. It offers the cleanliness and efficiency typical of Japanese hotels. Note that bottled water is not provided in the room, but there is a common area where you can refill your water. Overall, it’s a practical and comfortable option for a one-night stay before a morning departure.

GGuest UserThe hotel is about 10 mins walk from Nagoya station and can be accessed through the underground mall, which is fairly convenient. Plus point that it is near ichiran that is open 24 hours.
The amenities are quite standard, though the spa / bathing area would be nice if it is slightly bigger and has steam room or different type of pools. And there are only 2 washing machines available.
Overall it is a good stay.
11382349****Service: It was raining when we arrived, and the front desk staff proactively informed us that we could borrow umbrellas for free from the lobby. They also provided information about the hot springs and even gave our child a yukata and toiletries, which was very thoughtful.
Public Bath: It was clean and tidy. It's truly rare to find hot springs in the city center. My daughter was thrilled to try it out for the first time. They also offered ramen for a late-night snack and free popsicles.
The location is also excellent. It's about a 5-minute walk to the Sakae shopping district, and the subway station is right outside. It's only two stops to Nagoya Station. It's lively yet quiet – we would definitely visit again if we come back to Nagoya.
Fflam73Fantastic theming in the rooms and hotel generally. Great for our 2 and 4 year old boys. The gifts inside the Treasure Chest are great. The breakfast buffet was also quite good. We also spent two nights at Disney Resort Toy Story hotel and found the Legoland Hotel to be better. The only things I think could be improved would be the sound proofing of rooms - our kids slept at 8pm and you can hear all the kids/people talking and walking in the hallway outside. The water play area also gets booked out literally one minute after it opens (12pm) so we had no chance to use it even though I was on the website at 12.09pm. It feels a bit like false advertising of a hotel feature when it’s not even possible to access.

MM34403****1. The hotel boasts an excellent location in the Sakae shopping district, surrounded by numerous department stores and offering convenient transportation. If you're coming by subway, take exit 13 (which only has stairs) – but don't climb the stairs! Don't climb the stairs! Don't climb the stairs! Instead, walk straight ahead until you see a mall entrance, go inside, turn right, walk all the way to the end, turn left, and walk straight through the automatic doors. You'll then be on B1 of the hotel! The check-in desk is on the 24th floor.
2. The hotel room's design is quite clever, featuring many hidden storage spaces, which is rather interesting. The room is very clean, and the amenities are comprehensive. Both the daytime and nighttime window views are fantastic! Oh, and there's a FamilyMart convenience store and a drug store on B1, which is very convenient.
3. Nearby landmarks include the Nagoya TV Tower and the famous Atsuta Houraiken for hitsumabushi (grilled eel over rice, served three ways). If you want to go to Takashimaya at JR Station, it's just two subway stops away.
All in all, I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit!
JJinghuahuotuiAlthough the room size isn't huge, it's quite acceptable for a major city like Nagoya. Every day, after returning to the hotel, I could relax in the large public bath on the rooftop, which really helped to relieve the day's fatigue. Since I didn't use the room's bathroom, I put my suitcase in there, which effectively increased the usable space in the bedroom. Plus, the hotel provides DHC cosmetics for free, which is definitely a highlight. The hotel's location is excellent, very close to Sakae commercial district, Oasis 21, and Nagoya TV Tower. Nagoya Castle is only about a 15-minute walk away. For dinner, if you turn right out of the hotel and walk for about 5 minutes, you'll find an underground shopping street beneath the Nagoya TV Tower with all sorts of restaurants and a food supermarket. There's also a convenient store right outside the hotel. While the breakfast selection isn't incredibly diverse, I particularly enjoyed the unagi don (eel rice bowl) and ramen. The staff were very enthusiastic. Choosing this hotel for my stay was definitely a smart decision.
