The hotel has an excellent location, right across the train station. As soon as we got off the train, we could see the hotel’s large logo from the train platform. Given what we’d heard about Venice’s safety situation, this was very reassuring... The hotel has its own restaurant next to the lobby, making dining convenient, though the waitstaff were somewhat lacking in manners—they started clearing our plates the moment we finished eating... The front desk service, however, was excellent—polite and courteous.

The hotel is situated near the train station and some minutes of walk to the old town. The room is clean and good for couples. Hotel staff are also nice as well as the breakfast.
The quality of the room was very good. The bathroom and bedroom was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the location of it was quite good when it comes to using different types of transport. I would definitely say that the 4 star hotel was definitely worth the money and that it should be a 5 star. Additionally, the breakfast was very good as it had a wide variety of different foods for people with different dietary preferences and requirements.

Air conditioning is non-existent. Despite flagging this daily with the reception staff, we were told numerous excuses and conflicting stories about what the AC could be set to.
For a four star hotel I also expect more than one tea bag per day (when two adults sharing). Everything just seem to be money saving orientated!
The breakfast is appalling quality too.
The room itself was perfect for what we needed and extremely clean. Bed also very comfortable. But unfortunately those issues stated above made for an unpleasant stay overall.

1. Cleanliness
- We stayed 4 nights and they didn’t clean the room for us once. Referring to some laws, but other hotels we’ve stayed at this trip all of them offer the daily cleaning service.
2. Location
- City center, easily accessible to all attractions
- We were able to store our shopping bags in between the shopping spree during the day
3. Service
- They just did things as scripted, 2 girls chorus, nothing special.
- We asked for bus information. She didn’t know. Most hotel staff should be able to provide this basic city info.
4. Amenities
- No fitness. The only good is our room #50 has balcony, extra price for that ofc.

We recently stayed here for 5 nights to take in the sights of Verona and surrounding cities. While I can't complain about the price, and for that, it was a bargain, there were a number of issues that resulted in a less than perfect rating.
The location: While it looks close to the main train station, it is about a 25 minute walk. However the 23/24/73 buses run regularly and pick-up / drop-off very close to the hotel
Lidl: next door to the hotel is a Lidl - it was a godsend and well worth visiting (if only for the fresh cheese focaccia).
The hotel itself was very clean but:
- The rooms have wooden floors and the walls aren't super-thick. So, when someone checks in to their room nearby, you can hear everything. At midnight, it isn't great when they're walking in heels across the floor.
- Lack of plug sockets - there was one usable plug in the room that is shared with the kettle, and one in the bathroom!
- Air conditioning (or severe lack of) - the rooms have air con, however, it wasn't switched on and I was told by reception that at this time of year (October) they don't have it switched on. The room temp was in the high 20s which led to us not actually sleeping under the covers - we spend 5 night sleeping on top of the bed as the room was just too hot. We couldn't sleep with the window open as their was too much noise from outside.
- The toilet flush was leaking 'hot water' - but this was repaired / replaced with a different toilet flush
- Staff: They were helpful when housekeeping has vacuumed up one of my wife's earrings, but didn't offer any assistance with regards to the heating in the room

The rooms had an antiquated appearance, with outdated furniture and decor that felt more unpleasant than charming. While the bathrooms were manageable, the overall condition of the rooms left much to be desired.
Our first night was particularly uncomfortable due to the absence of air conditioning, which made the rooms stuffy and difficult to sleep in. When we raised this concern, we were informed that the air conditioning policy—aimed at reducing energy use due to global warming—prohibited its use until May. This was frustrating, as we visited in mid to late April, and were instead advised to open the windows for ventilation.
However, keeping the windows open led to a new issue on the second night: mosquitoes and flies. Their presence made it impossible to sleep properly for the second night in a row. While the staff were friendly and tried to assist, the disappointing condition of the rooms and lack of sleep significantly impacted our stay.
Overall, the hotel's location on the Grand Canal is beautiful, but the outdated accommodations and discomfort made the experience less enjoyable than we had hoped.

The location was nice, right in front of the Venice Mestre station
There was a speaker inside the bathroom where you can listen to the TV even the door was closed, which was quite a interesting design.
However, the door of the room is not well functioning. You need to close the door strongly and tried several times to unlock the door.
I guess the door was old and it has to be maintained.
Typical Hilton so quality was not bad. Rather than paying v high hotel rates in Venice people should consider Hilton as it is v reasonable. There are two buses right outside the door with the 2nd stop that brings you to Venice bus terminals. You can walk in to Venice or take a ferry within 30 min with things to see whilst you are walking.
Another plus is that with a 5 to 10 min taxi ride you and your luggages will arrive at the door of Hilton without the trouble of taking your luggages to your hotel in Venice after transport through boats
But you need to time the return journey especially when the weather is cold or wet as it is hard to get a taxi in the evening when people are leaving after dinner.

Very Good
LLady WI was skeptical reading previous reviews but decided to give it a try for one night during my business trip as I’m an IHG member. Having experienced staying at 5 different hotels in this city — most of them within walking distance on Corso Porta Nuova (main street leading from the train station to many main attractions) — I can say that Indigo was among one of my top 2 choices.
The room I stayed in was tastefully decorated — the headboard of the bed immediately attracted attention, striking but elegant, with paintings seemingly telling romantic tales of the city’s history; open wardrobe was clever as it made the room seem spacious while leaving plenty of space for hanging clothes and jackets especially on a rainy day.
The balcony was a super nice touch and was my favorite to come back to in the evening with a view of charming Verona at night watching people and cars passing by. Two chairs, a coffee table with blankets and a little bit of floral decorations. I spent a fair bit of time despite the cold and rain, soaking in the beautiful images which were among the most special memories I’d carry with me from this trip.
Check-in was super efficient. Anna at the reception was an absolute joy to meet and interact with. She’s super kind, thoughtful and professional in helping me with storing my suitcase as I was in a rush to catch my train to a nearby city on a rainy day; she gave clear, accurate info helping me to go to the train station within 10mins; and on the next day, kindly offered recommendations for cafes. Her passion and enthusiasm and friendliness is above and beyond many of her peers. Her genuine smile stands out from others who might be just trying to get their job done. You can tell Anna is truly exceptional and a wonderful ambassador for Hotel Indigo. Keep up the good work!
Breakfast service was super efficient, friendly, attentive. The professional and thoughtful gentleman offered multiple times coffee, tea, orange juice, etc, making sure each guest had everything needed for a good start of the day, quickly clearing dishes while guests stepped away - perfectly seamless. Truly outstanding attention to details. The restaurant offered a good variety of food choices: raw veggies are rare in hotel breakfast buffet but here they did so that was a plus in my book. Fresh fruits, muesli, (no sugar-added) yogurt and scrambled eggs were my go-to. Although I didn’t eat pastries or bread or drink Prosecco for breakfast, if that’s something you like then you’d be pleased to know they offered plenty to satisfy different tastes.
The only thing that prevented Indigo from making my No. 1 choice in Verona was the shower. I requested specifically for a shower because from the photos shared by other travelers and reviews many commented that the bath look dated and needed update. I personally do not take baths in hotels so having a new, good water pressure shower with fast efficient drain would be way more important. They did honor my request with a standup shower corner stall. However, the square-shaped shower stall area was so small that my elbows (I’m petite size female) kept knocking on the glass doors. I believe they’re scheduled for major renovation in Jan-Feb 2024 so it’d be interesting to see if they remodel the bathrooms and showers.
AAnonymous UserLeonardo Royal is located just 10 mins walk from the bus and train station making it an easy and convenient place to stay. Rooms are clean and bathroom is spacious. The reception also taught me an easier path to walk behind the hotel parallel to the train tracks for a smooth path to walk with my luggage to the bus station to go to the airport. Breakfast spread was good. it's my 3rd time staying here. Happy to recommend.
AAnonymous UserVery good experience in this hotel. The very large and clean room. The staff very careful and have gluten-free food. Furthermore, it is very close to the Academia bridge that crosses the great channel. They also have a restaurant in the same hotel. I therefore recommend it 100%.

GGuest UserHotel is very good situated, near the waterbus-station, grocery store and a short walk from the Lido beach. Room was new, clean and on the first floor. It had a Hugo shower and good aircondition. The Reception was not the greatest peopleservers but we managed. Breakfast was ok for the price, do not expect anything fancy. I would choose this hotel again because of the location and the newly renovated room 👍
GGuest UserIt wasn't great visit for us. We just came im to our hotel when we saw water leaking from air conditioner while making loud noise from electrocity. We called the reception, and man came to ”fix” it.
We went touring and still the same day when we came back it happend again. Again someone came to fix it but couldn't do anything about the noise. Also we were told that they can't give us different room because ”they are full” but when they saw our dissatisfaction suddenly the different room was found... 🙃
The area (Mestre) seems dangerous, full of eastern immigrants. Especially in the night you don't feel safe.
GGuest UserWhat a fabulous hotel perfectly located a block from the Grand Canal and close to both the Rialto Bridge and St Marks Square.
The receptionists are outstanding and answered all of our many questions with comprehensive answers, patience and respect. Can’t rave enough about them.
The rooms are even prettier than indicated on line, with plush bedding, a large bathroom and plenty of space.
Breakfast was convenient and offered a large variety of choices. Service was also exceptional.
Without question - you will enjoy this full service hotel. As a bonus, there is also an elevator so you don’t have to lug your suitcase up the stairs.

AAlexPozClose to Piazzale Roma, you dont need to carry you lagguges so far if you park your car on Municipale Parking or Tronccetto or if you travel by train you dont need cross even this one bridge :) . Hotel is on via Spagna is commercial street so crowded but is close to Ferrovia. Hotel is in old building Pallacco in Venetian Style. Rooms are in Venetian Style also, cossy, but on minimum, in fotos it looks little beter. Aroud you have all you need shops, restaraunts, etc, so no problem, Vapporetto Stop is just right the corner. To Piazzale San Marco is about 40 minutes (via Realto), or 50 minutes (via Academia) by foot, even beter by foot than via Vaporetto, you vist Venezia. Hotel service is very nice and helpful, breakfast is very good and has a lot of meals.
KKa Ka BoyWe stayed three nights here. Hotel is conveniently located right next to the ferry station. Breakfast was good and has good variety. Probably the best hotel on the island until we received really bad service which lost all marks on our last morning of stay which I’ll elaborate later.
We had to catch the first flight and needed to have a quick breakfast before departure after our stay. Since we stayed there for three nights, we had breakfast and also dinned in their outlets throughout our stay, we were surprised the staff told us they don’t have our records on the last morning, we are not seated for breakfast and had to wait for them, it would be better if we get seated to allow hotel to sort it out since we have to leave for our flights. Unfortunately the staff also told us “they have hundreds of guest so it’s not possible to recognize us”. “There is no record”, and after waiting for over 10 min they came back and told us again “there is no record”. I asked to sort out the matter with the manager and they just told us we can walk over to the counter while there is a long queue of guests. Without cutting the line I waited at the lobby. After the staff at the counter also did not follow up about the situation after the queue was cleared or apologize for the rude attitude. We left the hotel after they ruined our experience at Venice. The entire good experience was lost due to lack of hospitality service. Wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay here, and it is a disgrace of the Hyatt brand.
