Excellent, hearty and warm service. The airport skybus stop is right in front of the hotel (frequency 40 mins, whole ride 25 mins from or to airport). Room and bed very comfy. Free bottle water and welcome cookies. The trash bins inside the room are too small however. Buffet breakfast is decent too. Locationwise, not the best. No restaurants or groceries nearby (just restaurants inside hotels). Need a bit of walk (5-10 mins) to reach the very centre where the shops are.
I was given the wrong information by the hotel reception. I asked if it was possible to stay overnight at Hobart Airport, and was told yes — based on that, I didn’t book any accommodation in advance. Later, I double-checked and found out overnight stays are not allowed at the airport.
Because of this, I had to make a last-minute hotel booking at a much higher cost. This caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience.

Do not stay at this hotel. The walls are paper thin, so you hear EVERYTHING—yes, EVERYTHING, if you know what I mean. The whole setup is bizarre (see photo). Who thought it was a good idea to cram the sink so close to the toilet that your elbow brushes it? Who looked at that and thought, ”Yeah, that’s totally normal and not awkward at all”? The carpet feels soooo dirty, and it’s ridiculous they don’t provide slippers. Actually, they do—but only if you’re willing to pay $6! Oh, and add another $5 for service fee!
On top of that, when I asked about why the water in the shower was lukewarm, and the response I got was that it’s because the hotel was at full capacity. How exactly is that my problem?! The receptionist told me to run the water for 10 minutes to ”fix” it… 10 minutes? Really? What happened to being eco-friendly?
Honestly, save your money and book somewhere else. It’s incredibly noisy, and you won’t get a peaceful night's sleep here. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The only redeeming qualities are the fitness center, location and the helpful and very nice staff.

This is the one of the few hotel in Hobart that have triple room. quite a distance (900m) to the regular tour pickup place and the city's main Salamaca Sunday Market. Still within 500M radius, you can easily get food and supplies but bear in mind that shops close early, 6-7pm. After that you have search around the city for a few eateries that still open. So buy any food like bakery and water to store in your room. Otherwise, it is a very good hotel, off the noisy streets. But the HOP-ON-HOP-OFF day pass to visit the city's attractions. Go on trips outside Hobart like Richmond and Mt Willington
The location is very good, and the beach below is also beautiful. If the weather is good or you are brave, you can walk across the sea to the small island on the opposite side. I didn't dare to go because the sea was a bit big that day. Don't hold too high hopes for free penguin viewing at night. The white guy in the hotel was very responsible and chatted with us for almost two hours, but the penguins had to wait until the people who paid to see them finished before they could go. Some people said they saw one, but I didn't see one.
Nice hotel. Free parking, polite and efficient check-in. Very big room with balcony. Tea/coffee facilities. Excellent views.
Forgot wallet with lit of cash and cards at the restaurant during the dinner, only remembered next morning. The wallet was handed back to me next day
The location is right in the park. There is a relatively close station where you can take the bus 🚌 for sightseeing. The hotel can buy tickets for you. There are many activities every day that can be booked in advance. We experienced the activity of watching animals at night. If you don’t see anything during the day, you will have a chance at night. It is also a good experience. I highly recommend the hotel’s restaurant. It is the expensive one. It is super delicious 😋 The best lamb I have ever eaten is here. Breakfast is also here. The scenery is not bad. The business is very good. It is a bit tiring to stay for one day. If you have time, I recommend staying for two more days. You can also fish here. There are opportunities to see wild animals around the hotel in the morning and at night. The cabin has a warm house and it is very warm. I recommend this hotel with five stars

The only good thing is that the front desk service is great. The rest are all shortcomings: the room facilities are old and not soundproof, one room is divided into two rooms, the lights are dim, and when you check in, you will find a door in the middle! At this time, I knew something was wrong. As a result, the hard-working people living next door watched the Indian news until after 12 o'clock, and the foreigners next door had a party and danced until 4 o'clock in the morning. There was a lot of car noise outside the window, and the room was completely soundproof! No toothbrush and slippers were provided (you have to ask the front desk yourself). The water in the washbasin is very small, and the toilet is very old. In the name of saving water, they even put a water-saving sign for you.

Excellent location, near shopping malls with supermarket and food joints. Close to pier side restaurant where there's full spectrum of food and beverage restaurants. Five minutes walk to Tasmania tourist promotion center where most of the local tour bus congregate as meeting place.

TTurkeeyOnly stayed for two days, however the hotel did not clean the room, I do not know if it was intentional or not
But the environment is 102 points, and upgraded the room for free
There are home-raised animals that can be fed outside for free, and the environment is very comfortable, the hotel area is larger than Victoria Park. The decor is very good, the room is very comfortable, the TV can watch YouTube, and there is a skylight. It is recommended that friends with a budget can play to might as well stay in a room with a terrace, really can open the door can look at d animals and a large sky and grass
The location is certainly not very convenient, at least 30 minutes drive from downtown Hobart
However you can drive 5 minutes to large supermarkets and restaurants
Overall highly recommended
DDelulooVery satisfied! The location is just opposite the scenic area service center, and the car is parked in front of the cabin. Although it was a super windy day in summer, we still turned on the heater, which was very useful. The kitchen was well equipped (there are no supermarkets nearby, so you need to purchase in advance). The restaurant's breakfast and dinner are limited and require reservations. After all, there are limited staff there, and we didn't try it because we didn't have time. You can go to the restaurant to buy coffee, which tastes okay. The restaurant is in a great location with a view of Cradle Mountain. The front desk lady is very friendly, pay attention to the check-in time.
Zzq&qqIt's very stylish, and it looks like a very old house at first glance. You can take photos everywhere, and it’s convenient to park early. There’s a huge wine supermarket nearby. The bed is also very retro, and little people have to climb on it
GGuest UserVery happy with my stay at Movenpick hobart from 18-21/01/25 (Sat to Tue) for AU$606 - the rate (20% off for diamond tier) is even better than their end of year sale via official website as an ACCOR member (15% off)
Since other's reviews of classic rooms seem depressing as there is no view at all.....thus I booked a superior room with city view. However being allocated to room 403 on the 4/F .....instead of full length windows as per promotional pics.....my window is relatively less impressive. Also there is a high pitch wheezing sound from the corridor......but the sound has gone once we open our door..... hopefully I can have a better room above 5/F next time. Chocolate hours and the day bed in the room are something that we liked most, not much interaction with staff so hard on their hospitality....but on the day of check in around 3pm, a cleaning staff just entered and shocked to see us inside. She thought the room needs to be clean hopefully not making her scared

SSusan ElizabethThis hotel is very conveniently situated for walking into the cbd. It is slightly dated, but the rooms are spacious and beds are comfy with quality linens and premium toiletries. Everything is spotlessly clean….housekeeping staff do an excellent job. The food options are a little limited, but what we had for dinner was of high quality and nicely presented….wait staff were very attentive and efficient.
Car parking was $10 per day which was very reasonable for a city hotel.
We would definitely use this hotel again.
FFinbar CliffordLovely hotel apartment room no view but you are in the city lovely bar for drinks dinner what a beautiful lobby fire place must be 60 feet long spotless lovely cleaners we had m/wave dishwasher washing machine fridge very nice aircon and you can open windows as we we would be staying here again when we come back 5 stars from us
CChris AndiaQuirky place. Our room was very nice but looks like it has recently been renovated with new furniture and tiling in the bathroom but just a few old surfaces still left that detracts from what could be a beautiful room. Only 1 bedside table is a strange thing to have in a queen room. The bed rolls away if you sit up against the bed head. But, I had a fantastic sleep with what feels like new bed, bedding and pillows. I felt it was strange that the bed did not have the top sheet, just a quilt. The food at the pub is typical pub food and very nice but in my opinion expensive. $30 for a chicken schnitzel, tiny salad that can really only be called garnish and a small amount of hot chips. But it was ver nice. Saying that, so far I am finding Tasmania is expensive which says a lot considering I live on the Northern Beaches of Sydney.
KKwokHere’s the translation:
1. A very cute and Modern room, beautifully decorated, exactly like the photos.
2. The hosts are very friendly; it's basically their home, with only two rooms available for guests. If you’re lucky, you might encounter their grandchildren swimming and playing, hearing their laughter.
3. The room's amenities are quite high quality, and the space is ample.
4. Breakfast is provided early in the room, including bread, various types of jams and butter, milk, orange juice, and a variety of cereal options. Tea bags are also available.
5. There’s a free washing machine and laundry powder, but no dryer.
6. The location is within a 20-minute drive from Launceston.
7. If you want a quiet and comfortable space, this is a great choice.
