Loved this hotel. Service was great, rooms were clean, excellent location - came here to celebrate my birthday and this stay made it so memorable. If there was any negative and this is really nit-picking….the bathroom was a bit small. Apart from that, couldn’t fault it. So, mahalo Alohilani, we loved you. ❤️

As the hotel is located in the Kahala district away from Waikiki Beach, the surroundings are very quiet and there are almost no people around other than hotel guests. As a result, the beach in front of the hotel is calm and very safe. When I entered the lobby, I was instantly drawn in by the wonderful scent. There are dolphins in the hotel lagoon, and just looking at them is soothing. The facility itself feels old, but the hospitality of the staff makes up for it.

The hotel is a small but beautiful hotel. The rooms are not big and relatively new. The facilities are very convenient. Although it is small, it has all the essentials. The valet pick-up speed is faster than most Waikiki hotels because it is parked opposite. It is very easy to go downstairs to go shopping in the supermarket. It's convenient and not in a busy area, so the location is relatively quiet. The restaurants are pretty good, and several restaurants are very close to the sea. Service is good. Room service response speed is good. The only drawback is that there is no direct access to the beach. The swimming pool is relatively small and the distance between the lounge chairs is tight. It is very close to the restaurant. If there are people dining next to it, it will be cluttered. The balconies in the rooms are relatively close together and the privacy is poor. You can see other people's balconies if you tilt your head slightly, but the sea view is pretty good.

Consider it a happy little accident. I had missed my flight home because of the Pearl Harbor Memorial Day Parade and was stuck an extra day on Oahu. I looked to see what was the cheapest hotel room available and the Ka La’i popped up which surprised me. Booked the room quick because the Honolulu Marathon was the following day and almost every hotel was sold out. I got an ocean view suite with a King bed as my room and loved it. Bathroom was amazing, bed was super comfortable and overall the suite was spacious. Although it had a kitchen it didn’t have a dedicated dining table, even a small one. Only thing in the sitting area was a glass coffee table that was long enough for my needs of just a late night pizza dinner. Staff was helpful and even as I was checking out, I casually asked if I could tour the Penthouse suite because I had always wanted to book it. The 2 front desk workers escorted me to the Penthouse and gave me a little tour. It was impressive. Definitely would stay there again soon.

The hotel is very good and very cost-effective. We were delayed by the car rental company for 2 hours, so we checked in late, so the lady at the front desk gave us an upgrade? I was given a room with a garden by the swimming pool. The room was very cozy. The toilet and bathroom were very new and very good. I had the best sleep in this hotel in Hawaii. I don’t understand why no one commented on it. The hotel has its own We also saw real turtles on the beach, yes real turtles! And it was the guy who handed out towels by the pool who I asked at the beginning. After a long time, the guy came to me and asked me if I had just asked a few of them if there were turtles in the hotel. He said he saw turtles and came to call me. I'm really grateful to remember this. The hotel has its own small supermarket and boutique, so you don’t have to worry if you don’t have enough medicine or if your swimsuit doesn’t look good, you can buy them all! ! And the selection is high-end and comforting. In addition, if you stay in the hotel for about 3 days, you will probably get tired of the restaurant. Of course, there is nothing delicious outside. Hawaii seems to get off work at 4 pm, so there is really no choice outside the hotel.

The room is old, but well maintained. If you are a fan of White Lotus, you will feel it as soon as you arrive at the hotel. Pros: The room is well maintained, the green facilities downstairs are good, and the overall living experience is good; Cons: There is no private beach, the privacy is average, and the beach is shared with several hotels; the staff are not very enthusiastic;

The hotel is beautiful, but the front desk service is poor. Three hours were wasted at check-in, and there was only one person in the queue when checking out, and a lady's bill was miscalculated. The delay was more than half an hour, and the guests can only wait. It is incredible that there is only one person at the front desk. How can such a service match the hotel brand and beauty? Because I was in a hurry, I had to pay my room card before leaving, the bill was not settled, and my deposit and compensation were not paid. I do not know how to solve the problem later?

The hotel is an hour's drive from the main beach of Wikiki. There are few people and the environment is good. There are many activities to play. You can interact with various dolls at close range. The room is relatively average (very cold). There are also many hot spring pools in the hotel. After playing It's great to be able to jump into the hot spring pool at any time. The biggest problem is eating. The internal restaurants are very disappointing. However, after leaving the hotel, there is a square opposite. Although there are only a handful of restaurants, they taste pretty good, especially the coffee at Starbucks. I go there every day and the tips are mind-boggling. . . There are only supermarkets and restaurants nearby. If your child suffers from gastroenteritis, you have to take a taxi to Wikiki to find a hospital. In short, it is a holiday destination with a good environment that children like. It is a bit boring to stay for a long time because you can only play in the hotel every day. Wikiki is more lively.

This hotel I stayed in this time was newly built in 2024 and there would be no cockroaches, so I checked in. After staying there, I think it has both good and bad points. Advantages: The service is very enthusiastic; The swimming pool is on the 8th floor, a very clean place; There is a large water dispenser on the next floor, you can pour water when you leave the room, you don’t have to buy water yourself, nor do you have to pour water in the lobby and carry it up, which is very convenient; The hotel has a shuttle bus to Waikiki Beach every hour. The place where you get off is P2, which is a little distance from the beach. There is a return bus about every half hour, which is very convenient. The hotel's elevator is very fast. First, press the floor you want to go to at the door, and then the elevator will automatically allocate it. Basically, one floor per second, there is no pain of high-rise elevators at all, which is very good; Opposite is Ala Moana, Walmart, and buses. Let's talk about the disadvantages: I don't know about other rooms. The window of the room we booked is a large movable window that can be moved to the top of the room. Once the door is opened, it is a half-person-high glass, and then there is no protection, and there is no balcony. See p1, that is to say, more than 20 floors... If you open the window directly, a strong wind will fly out of the window, which I think is quite dangerous. So later we didn't open the window, but opened a crack for ventilation; Although the room was newly built in 24 years, the facilities in the room are already a bit broken. The bathtub drains slowly, the clothesline can't be retracted, and the remote control of the smart toilet is also broken... In general, I think this hotel is not worth five stars, at most it is a four-star, which is ok to stay in.
