We knew the service would be good as soon as we booked, and within hours we received a welcome email, listing the ways we could contact them if we needed to. On the pick up at the airport, they were speedy and efficient and the taxi ride only took us 20 minutes with traffic. As we walked through the door we were blown away by the interior decoration, only then to find that hotel had been a former palace! Historic artifacts and pictures were strewn through the hallways and the outside only matched the royal feel with perfection. We stayed in the royal suite, with a big bed and balcony. The staff were great, the breakfast was standard for off peak times and although the location isn't in the depth of Thamel, the area most will go out for eating and drinking, it was within 30 minutes drive of most landmarks and as it was the ambassedy/ office worker area, there was a nice vibe. There were some things that can't be controlled. The hotel did a good job of providing heat as the weather in February is still chilly. The pollution was real. Especially as you walk nearer the streets, something to think about if you are sensitive to this. Apart from that, It was all really wonderful. We had a great experience. Right from check in where Christina took care of us, to the housekeeping Staff and the restaurant staff - we were pampered. The room itself was spacious with a good view. We had a lot of freebies like airport transfer, fnb discounts, etc... We were looked after well.

The hotel has a nice view from the outside. Breakfast is not included in the price and needs to be paid extra. There were sporadic power outages during the stay. I was a little worried and scared at first, but later I turned off the air conditioner and the power outages were alleviated. It is very close to the airport and the Boudhanath temple. You can see the panoramic view of the hotel when the plane takes off.

Excellent hotel. Decor and furnishings are amazing. Gym and pool were great. The rod terrace and bar area were lovely with great views over the city. Room was comfortable, Hirt and spacious. Breakfast selection was great. Can’t fault it.

This is my second time in Kathmandu and the fourth hotel I have stayed at. Everything in the room is up to Marriott standards: the bed, the bathroom, everything was great. However, the ventilation at the buffet breakfast is really bad, after our breakfast I smelled like I worked at the kitchen all day. I ordered room service once; their momo is the worst momo anyone could find in Nepal. It is overcooked and wrongly seasoned, and the dumpling wrapper was broken and overpriced. Luckily the hotel staffs recommended another momo place that is 3 minutes walk from the Marriott, at least I got some good momos before leaving this beautiful city. I still cannot believe I spent that much on a hotel in this city. There are many nice hotels in the city with good service and cleanliness at a more affordable price. I would recommend this place if you have high standards of living and hygiene and do not expect any cultural things. Basically, you won't feel like you are in Nepal when you are inside the hotel.

An unforgettable and warm hotel in every aspect! Clean and the food is great! Because my family was temporarily ill and admitted to the local hospital, this hotel was only about ten minutes away from the hospital, so I chose this hotel. It is located in a government office area with good security. The hotel is designed in Nepali style. The rooms are very good and tidy. They know that I go to visit the patient every day, and they send a car to take me to the hospital every day. They always check on me and my family, which adds a lot of warmth to the pain of being here with the patient! The quality of the restaurant is also high, and many of the dishes are excellent. It is said that it is also a gathering place for government officials, so it is often full of guests! I stayed here for more than ten days and it was very cost-effective! --The free airport pick-up is also great

We stayed only 1 night hoping to see sunrise but unluckily the cloud/pollution level were a lot even at the mountain where the resort is located. We had a great time there with beer and play games until late night. 1 disappointed thing is we were informed that the pool is heated pool but it is not heated at all, so we didn’t get to do swimming there. The hotel also have a taxi service for us from hotel to airport in a convenient truck with AC! Overall are good

We really enjoyed our stay here. The service is top-notch. Rooms are very clean and they provide all the necessary amenities. We loved the view from our room and on a clear day, you can see the Himalayas. Breakfast buffet was lovely and the staff are so attentive and quick. Dinner at the restaurant was on the pricier side. We ordered a cheese pizza that tasted very bland and had to send it back. The chef added more cheese on top and reheated the pizza which made it worse. However, the waiter was very nice enough to send the pizza back again and removed it from our bill. Apart from that, we would definitely recommend this hotel and cannot wait to return.

Perfect hotel for a pleasant stay in Kathmandu. The very friendly staff made our stay perfect, always with a smile, especially our egg cook at breakfast and Ram the chef. At reception they helped us with all the questions and recommendations of the place. The rooms were very clean with everything we needed, even a coffee maker and some very tasty cookies for the coffee break, which were replenished every day, they even brought us seasonal fruit. The upstairs restaurant is a chill out type with good music and very good food. I chose this hotel because of the rating on the travel pages and YES IT IS TRUE, the rating is very high because of the good work of the staff, the very well decorated space and the central area.

Location is superb, right in the middle of Kathmandu, walking distance to Thamel. Other interesting landmarks are easy to reach with the helpful taxi drivers (always present outside the gates). Hotel staff are very kind, sincerely engage in conversation and helpful in providing tourist information. Rooms are cost and warm decorated. Hotel has a beautiful garden suitable for a relaxing stroll. Swimming pool is nice and very clean! I highly recommend this hotel above other hotels in Kathmandu. Thank you Mr Prakesh for the awesome service in the restaurant.
